Zhusha Wan (Cinnabar Pill) treats persistent dysentery that fails to resolve.
Cinnabar (1 fen), Concha Arcae (0.5 liang), Fructus Crotonis Tiglii (1 fen), Sulphur (1 fen), Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata Powder (0.5 fen), Moschus (5 fen), Realgar (0.5 fen). All ingredients are finely ground and mixed uniformly. Use the flesh of boiled dates to form pills the size of millet seeds. Take 30 pills at any time, washed down with rice gruel.
Bai Fan Wan (Alum Pill) treats persistent red and white dysentery.
Alumen (2 liang), Minium (2 liang). Grind these ingredients to an extremely fine powder. Take one pill the size of a sophora seed, washed down with millet drink. Take three pills per dose, on an empty stomach with millet drink.
Baizhu San (Atractylodes Macrocephala Powder) treats long-standing persistent red and white dysentery accompanied by abdominal pain.
