所谓热病烦躁,是因为阳气胜过阴气。热气独自亢盛,痞塞结聚于脏腑,导致三焦隔绝不通,因此出现身体发热且烦躁不安的症状。

The condition of restlessness and irritability in febrile diseases arises because Yang overcomes Yin. Heat qi alone becomes excessive, stagnating and knotting within the Zang organs, thereby blocking the Sanjiao (Triple Burner). Consequently, the body becomes hot and the patient experiences restlessness and irritability.

Shaoyao Huangqi Tang (Paeonia and Astragalus Decoction) [From *Shibian Liangfang*]
Indications: Insufficiency of Yin leads to excess of Yang. Excess Yang causes fever. If heat originates from the back, or pain gradually spreads from hands and feet to the whole body, accompanied by dry mouth and tongue, thirst for water, and periodic restlessness/oppression. This is due to deficiency of Yin qi; insufficient water cannot extinguish blazing fire. Generally, Yang Qi originates at the four extremities and circulates along the back. When Yin fails to restrain Yang, fever occurs. It may manifest as daytime onset with nighttime cessation, or nighttime onset lasting until dawn. The pulse is typically deficient, rapid, and small. This formula is suitable.
