Whenever there is an eye disease, headache often appears first. The pain radiates to the eyebrow bone and attacks upward toward the pupil of the eye. This is due to the accumulation of wind-heat pathogenic factors in the Yang meridians, which attack upward to the head and connect downward to the eye system, resulting in red vessels (conjunctival hyperemia).
