白蔹 大黄 黄芩（各等分） 上捣筛。和鸡子白如泥。涂布上薄贴。干则易之。可以

干复易之。一易辙以煮汁拭之。日夜三十度。
三色膏（出百一选方）治痈疖未成。拔毒止痛消肿。

消肿膏（出千金方）治痈肿发背初作。及经十日以上。肿赤 热。毒瓦斯盛。日
夜疼痛。百药不效。
鸡子（一枚） 新出狗屎（如鸡子大） 上搅调和。微火熬令稀稠得所。捻作饼子。于
肿头
坚处贴之。以纸贴之。以帛抹之。时时看视。觉饼子热即易。勿令转动及歇气。经一宿定。
如多日患者。三日贴之。一日一易。至瘥止。此方秽恶。不可施之贵盛。然其愈疾一切诸方
皆不可及。自外诸方还复备员设仪注而已。学人当晓此方。以备诸急耳。
水调膏（出百一选方）治风毒痈疖。
天南星（生为末） 白矾（细研） 上为各等分。新汲水调涂。干即再涂。
又方（出千金方）治痈肿痛烦闷。及诸肿痈溃。内有刺不出者。
用生楸叶十重贴之。以帛裹令缓急得所。日二易。止痛兼消肿。蚀脓甚良。如冬月先取
干者。临用以盐润之。亦可薄削楸皮用之。甚验。
又方 治大人小儿痈肿。
用生猪脑敷纸上贴之。干则易。日三四度。
芥末敷方
用芥菜子为末。汤和敷纸上贴之。一方猪脂和敷之。一方猪胆和如泥敷之。日三易。
又方
用白姜石末蒜和捣。敷上。

治痈方
用芫花为末。胶和如粥。敷之肿毒当化为水。
治痈
以梁上尘灰、葵茎等分。用醋和敷之。

赤小豆方 治热毒痈肿散。恶血不尽。烦满。及水肿皮肌胀满。亦可用捣赤小豆。

乌金散 治痈疖肿硬。不变色者。
用米粉四两。葱白细切一两。同炒黑色。杵为细末。每用看多少醋调。摊纸贴病处。一
伏时换一次消。
治风毒痈疖
以车鳌壳频蘸米醋。炙令赤色。碾为细末。温酒调下。
透脓散 治诸痈疮及贴骨痈不破者。不用针刀。一服不移时自透。有效验。
用蛾口茧一个，单出蛾茧者烧灰。用酒调服即透。切不可两个三个。茧儿一个。只一个
疮口。若服两个三个。则两个三个疮口。切勿轻忽。决痈肿 以雀卵白、天雄、菟丝子末为
丸。空心酒下五丸。

用蚌粉醋调涂消。
治痈肿毒发背 腮等疾
用赤小豆为末。好鸡子清和。敷之消。一方以新汲水调。敷疮及四旁赤肿处。干落即再
敷。
治一切疮痈疼痛
用酒熬皂角膏。能消肿止痛。
鹿角醋方 治疮痈肿热毒。
用鹿角醋磨敷之。一方用水磨如泥。涂患处。日三五次。亦治痈疽结硬未成脓。

上破者。脓出不尽。不尽稍深食骨。骨碎出当以角导侧际。从下头破令脓出尽。出尽则
骨生愈矣。若恶肉不尽者。蚀恶肉药去之。膏涂即愈。蚀肉药。
用白荻灰水淋之。煎令如膏。此不宜预作。作之十日则渴。并可以去黑子。药住便即拭
去。不时拭则伤膏。一方以桑白皮灰。白炭灰亦可。
治瘀血不散。变成痈。
用捣生 蒿取汁一升。服之。
治一切痈肿未破疼痛。令内消。（方见使自内消方）
白芷升麻汤
昔有尹大家。素贫寒。形志皆苦。于手阳明大肠经分出痈。幼小有 疝。其肾外皆肿痛。
在阳明左右部中得之俱弦。按之洪缓有力。此痈得自八风之变。以脉断之邪气在表。其证大
小便如故。饮食如常。口知味。知不在里也。不恶风寒。止恶燥。脉不浮。知不在表也。表
里既和。知气在经脉之中。内经云。凝于经络为疮痈。其痈出身半以上。故风从上受之。故
知是八风之变为疮者也。故以却寒邪调和经脉。使无凝滞也。

（尻臀生痈肿痛大作）。

分为末。根据前用醋调敷。
点破（出鲍氏方）
白丁香（雀粪直尖起者） 草乌尖（研） 斑蝥（去首足） 上等分末极细。醋调成膏。
于高
尖软处点破。如箸头大。但此方猛烈。切不可轻。
治一切痈肿。大小便秘。热毒瓦斯所攻。发为痈肿。疼痛鲜赤。不可胜忍。但止得一
两日未成脓者。宜服此方。忽先痛后肿。大难治疗。（出护命方）

而止。若是冷肿。坚硬而不痛。即便不须吃前方药。只于肿处当头。再灸百余壮而止也。只
是冷肿千万不要吃药。
诸痈。（出永类钤方）
生麻油（一斤） 黄丹（四两） 蜡（四分） 上三味腊日前日午。用火煎至明早。下
丹蜡成
膏。忌女人六畜见。用平胃散末黄桑菰为末。油调敷。
佛手祛毒膏（出杨氏家藏方）治风热毒瓦斯壅滞。营卫血气壅盛。聚结痈肿。烦
疼不止。肌肉败溃。及诸疮 赤疼痛。
大黄 山栀子（各二两） 白蔹 连翘（各一两） 升麻 蒴 （各半两） 上 咀。
用炼成
猪脂一斤。同煎候白蔹色焦。滤去滓令净。量时月入黄蜡就成膏。倾于瓷罐内盛。候冷涂敷。
或摊贴之。
佛手散（出杨氏家藏方）治风湿毒瓦斯。结搏腠理。气血壅盛。欲成痈肿。及手
足诸风痒痛妨闷。及风气结核。游走上行。或久新痒疾。疼痛不止。

甘草（炙） 大黄 白蔹 黄芩 川芎。以上各等分捣碎过筛。用鸡蛋黄调和如浓泥状，涂在布上。根据红肿发热及坚硬部位的大小进行贴敷。干燥后更换。
【五黄膏】消除拔除毒热引起的痈肿。也可用于小儿赤眼疮瘤。
大黄 黄柏 黄连 郁金（各一两） 黄丹（半两）。以上研为细末。用新汲水或蜜水调匀涂抹、扫涂。加入朴硝效果更佳。
【黄柏贴方】治疗痈肿。
黄柏 大黄 白芷 牡蛎 白蔹。以上各等分捣碎过筛。与鸡蛋清调和贴敷。
【天南星膏】（出自《百选方》）治疗风毒引起的痈疖。
大天南星（一两） 浓黄柏（半两） 赤小豆（一分） 皂角（一梃，不蛀坏的，烧至存性）。以上研为末。用新汲水调成膏状，贴在皮纸上。已经结聚的即会破溃，未破的即会消散，立见疗效。
【皂桃散】治疗肿胀的痈疽。即使半个月后才察觉也能消除。
皂角（烧至存性） 胡桃（烧至存性） 牛蒡子（微炒） 连翘（生用）。以上等分为细末。每次服用三钱。用温酒调下。空腹、饭前服用。
【黄连贴方】（出自《圣惠方》）治疗痈肿已经溃破。
黄连 黄柏 地榆 白芷（各一两）。以上捣碎过筛。用鸡蛋清调和涂在布上，薄薄摊开。对着疮口穿布而出，使痈气疏泄通畅为好。
【温中汤】主治因痈肿期间过食生冷导致的寒邪入中、腹泻、食物完谷不化。
甘草（炙） 干姜 附子（各六分，炮制） 蜀椒（二百四十枚，研磨）。以上用水六升，煮取二升。分三次服用。忌食海藻、菘菜（白菜）、猪肉、冷水。
【甜葶苈散】（出自《圣惠方》）治疗一切痈疽肿毒。
甜葶苈（半两） 木通（半两，锉碎） 川大黄（半两，生用锉碎） 莽草（半两）。以上研为细散。用水调和如稀膏状，涂于肿胀处。干了再涂。
【白蔹散】治疗痈肿。
白蔹 乌头（炮制） 黄芩（各等分）。以上捣碎过筛。与鸡蛋清调和敷上，即可痊愈。
【白蔹薄贴方】主治痈肿。
白蔹 大黄 黄芩（各等分）。以上捣碎过筛。与鸡蛋清调和如泥状，涂在布上薄贴。干了就换。也可以取三指撮的药末，放入三升水中，煮三沸。用绵蘸汁擦拭肿胀处数十遍。再用寒水石末调和涂在肿胀处，用纸覆盖。干了再换。一次更换就用煮过的汁液擦拭。日夜三十次。
【三色膏】（出自《百一选方》）治疗痈疖尚未形成脓液时，拔毒止痛消肿。
蚌粉（半两） 黄丹（一分） 草乌（一两，生用研末）。以上调匀。用水调涂。干了就再敷。关键在于让草乌进入疮口，疗效超过其他药物。
【消肿膏】（出自《千金方》）治疗痈肿发背初起，以及经过十日以上，红肿发热，毒气旺盛，日夜疼痛，百药无效的情况。
鸡蛋（一枚） 新排出的狗屎（如鸡蛋大小）。以上搅和均匀，用微火熬至稀稠适度，捏成饼子。贴在肿胀头部坚硬处，用纸贴上，用帛包裹固定。时时查看，感觉饼子热了就更换。不要让饼子转动或漏气。经过一夜定能奏效。如果是多日患病，三天贴一次，一天换一次，直到痊愈为止。此方气味秽恶，不可用于权贵之人。然而其治愈疾病的效果，其他所有方剂都无法比拟。其他的方子不过是凑数摆设罢了。学医的人应当明白这个方子，以备紧急之需。
【水调膏】（出自《百一选方》）治疗风毒引起的痈疖。
天南星（生用研末） 白矾（细研）。以上各等分。用新汲水调涂。干了就再涂。
【又方】（出自《千金方》）治疗痈肿痛烦闷，以及各种肿痈溃破后，内有刺排不出来的情况。
用生楸叶十层贴在上面，用帛包裹，松紧适度。每天更换两次。止痛兼消肿，蚀除脓液效果很好。如果是冬天，先取干叶，使用时用盐水润湿。也可以薄削楸皮使用，非常有效。
【又方】治疗大人小儿痈肿。
用生猪脑敷在纸上贴在上面。干了就换。每天三四次。
【芥末敷方】
用芥菜子研末，用热水调和敷在纸上贴上面。另一方法是用猪脂调和敷。另一方法是用猪胆调和如泥敷。每天换三次。
【又方】
用人乳和面敷在上面，到第二天早晨，脓血全部排出。不要用手接触。
【又方】
用箔金绳烧成末，腊月猪脂调和敷在下边缘，就会溃破。不需要针灸。
【赤小豆方】治疗热毒痈肿消散，恶血不尽，烦闷胀满，以及水肿皮肤肌肉胀满。也可以用捣碎的赤小豆，薄涂在痈肿上。
【乌金散】治疗痈疖肿硬，不变色的。
用米粉四两，葱白细切一两，同炒至黑色，杵为细末。每次用量看多少，用醋调匀，摊在纸上贴在病处。一个时辰换一次，可消除。
【治风毒痈疖】
用车螯壳频繁蘸米醋，烤至红色，碾为细末，用温酒调下。
【透脓散】治疗各种痈疮及贴骨痈不破的情况，不用针刀，一服药不久自然穿透，有确切疗效。
用蛾口茧一个，单出蛾茧的烧成灰。用酒调服即穿透。切不可用两个三个。茧只用一个。只对应一个疮口。如果服用两个三个，则会出现两个三个疮口。切勿轻视。
【决痈肿】用雀卵白、天雄、菟丝子末制成丸剂。空腹用酒送服五丸。
【治痈肿毒发背、腮等疾病】
用赤小豆研末，用好鸡蛋清调和，敷之可消。另一方法用新汲水调，敷在疮及四周红肿处。干了就再敷。
【鹿角醋方】治疗疮痈肿热毒。
用鹿角醋磨敷之。另一方法用水磨如泥，涂患处，每天三到五次。也治疗痈疽结硬未成脓。
【治痈肿】
用乌蔹莓，或者生长在人家篱墙间的，俗称笼草。取根捣碎敷之。
【又方】
用伏龙肝（灶心土）以醋和作泥，涂在布上贴之。干了再敷。另一方法用蒜和敷。另一方法捣筛，合胡荽研涂痈，很有效。
【治恶痈疖肿破】
用热酒磨葫荽、堇草如弹丸大小，服之。
【治痈攻肿，若息肉突出者】
用乌头五枚，用苦酒（醋）三升浸泡三日，洗之。每天三次。
【治痈肿毒等】
用紫石英醋淬，捣为末，生姜米醋煎敷之。磨敷也可以。
【治一切痈肿无头】
用葵菜子一粒，新汲水吞下，须臾即破。如果需要两处破，服两粒。要在破处逐粒验证。
【治诸痈不消，已成脓害怕针刺不得破，令速决】
取白鸡翅下第一毛，两边各一茎，烧灰研末，水调服之。另一方法鸡羽三七枚烧灰，服之即溃。
【治痈疮未溃】
用莽草末、鸡蛋清，涂纸浓粘贴。干了再换，得痛感良效。另外治疗风齿疼烦、腮肿，用五两药加水一斗，煮取五升，热含吐之。一日服完。
【治诸痈发起微赤肿】
用栝楼捣作末，以井花水调方寸匕。另一方法用苦酒熬燥，捣筛，和涂纸上摊贴。服用金石类药物的人宜用此方。
【清凉膏】治疗初患痈肿疮疖热痛，消肿毒。
用捣碎的大黄为末，浆水调摊贴之。醋磨也可以。
【治痈肉中如眼】（出自《千金方》）
用附子削令如棋子大小，安在肿上，用唾液贴住，火灸之令附子欲焦，再用唾液湿润，再用火灸之。如此三次，令附子热气彻内即痊愈。
【白荻灰方】治疗痈肿大按乃痛者病深，小按便痛者病浅，按之处陷不复者有脓。若当上破者，脓出不尽，不尽稍深食骨，骨碎出当以角导侧际，从下头破令脓出尽，出尽则骨生愈矣。若恶肉不尽者，蚀恶肉药去之，膏涂即愈。蚀肉药：
用白荻灰水淋之，煎令如膏。此不宜预先制作，制作十天则渴。并可以去黑子。药住便即拭去，不时拭则伤膏。另一方法用桑白皮灰，白炭灰亦可。
【白芷升麻汤】
过去有尹大家，素来贫寒，形志皆苦，在手阳明大肠经分出痈，幼小有疝，其肾外皆肿痛，在阳明左右部中得之俱弦，按之洪缓有力。此痈得自八风之变，以脉断之邪气在表，其证大小便如故，饮食如常，口知味，知不在里也。不恶风寒，止恶燥，脉不浮，知不在表也。表里既和，知气在经脉之中。《内经》云：“凝于经络为疮痈。”其痈出身半以上，故风从上受之，故知是八风之变为疮者也。故以却寒邪调和经脉，使无凝滞也。
白芷（七分） 升麻（半钱） 炙甘草（一钱） 酒黄芩（二钱） 生黄芩（一钱半） 黄芪（一钱） 当归梢（一钱） 中桂（少许） 连翘（二钱） 生地黄（一钱） 桔梗（半钱） 红花（少许）。
以上切碎，都作一服。酒水各一大盏半，煎至一盏，去滓，稍热服。临卧一服而愈。另一方无当归尾、中桂、连翘、生地黄。
【内托羌活汤】（出自东垣先生《兰室秘藏方》）治疗足太阳经中左右尺脉俱紧，按之无力（尻臀生痈肿痛大作）。
羌活（二钱） 防风（一钱） 藁本（一钱） 肉桂（七分） 黄柏（二钱，酒洗） 连翘（一钱） 炙甘草（半钱） 当归梢（一钱） 黄芪（一钱半） 苍术 橘皮（各五分）。以上切碎，都作一服。
酒三盏，煎至一盏，去滓，稍热服。空心，以夹衣盖痈上，使药力行罢去之。
【治诸痈毒乳痈等第一药】（出自鲍氏方）
草乌 南星 木鳖仁 赤小豆 当归须 赤蔹 白芷 紫河车 忍冬藤 赤芍药。以上等分为末。淡醋和蜜调敷。初效甚紧。天萝瓜汁调，尤佳。
【溃脓】（出自鲍氏方）
黄连 黄芩 黄柏 栀子 大黄 当归须 南星 半夏 赤芍药 白芷 紫河车。以上等分为末。根据前法用醋调敷。
【点破】（出自鲍氏方）
白丁香（雀粪直尖起者） 草乌尖（研） 斑蝥（去首足）。以上等分末极细。醋调成膏。于高尖软处点破，如箸头大。但此方猛烈，切不可轻。
【治一切痈肿，大小便秘，热毒瓦斯所攻，发为痈肿，疼痛鲜赤，不可胜忍。但止得一两日未成脓者，宜服此方。忽先痛后肿，大难治疗】（出自《护命方》）
麻黄（去根） 牡丹皮（去骨） 川大黄 连翘 当归 黄芪 山栀 硝石 升麻 桃仁 贝母（去心） 柴胡（去苗） 羌活（各一分） 半夏 牵牛（各一两半）。以上细杵罗为散子。每服五钱，水二盏，煎取一盏八分，食后去滓热服。取转一行了。便于肿处当头，灸以五七十壮而止。若是冷肿，坚硬而不痛，即便不须吃前方药，只于肿处当头，再灸百余壮而止也。只是冷肿千万不要吃药。
【诸痈】（出自《永类钤方》）
生麻油（一斤） 黄丹（四两） 蜡（四分）。以上三味腊日前日午，用火煎至明早，下丹蜡成膏。忌女人六畜见。用平胃散末黄桑菰为末，油调敷。
【佛手祛毒膏】（出自《杨氏家藏方》）治疗风热毒瓦斯壅滞，营卫血气壅盛，聚结痈肿，烦疼不止，肌肉败溃，及诸疮赤疼痛。
大黄 山栀子（各二两） 白蔹 连翘（各一两） 升麻 蒴藋（各半两）。以上切碎。用炼成猪脂一斤，同煎候白蔹色焦，滤去滓令净。量时月入黄蜡就成膏。倾于瓷罐内盛，候冷涂敷。或摊贴之。
【佛手散】（出自《杨氏家藏方》）治疗风湿毒瓦斯，结搏腠理，气血壅盛，欲成痈肿，及手足诸风痒痛妨闷，及风气结核，游走上行，或久新痒疾，疼痛不止。
汉防己 苦参（各四两） 大黄（生用） 白蔹（各三两） 藿香叶（去土） 黄芩（各一两） 凌霄花 甘草（生用各一两半）。以上为细末。每服用三钱，沸汤泡，通手淋洗。
【凡贴痈肿】（出自《永类钤方》）
生地黄 忍冬藤 芭蕉（等自然汁）。上调药敷，尤有功。
【凡熏洗】（出自《永类钤方》）
加番蜂末 枫乳。以上为丸，烧熏去秽安气，至有功。
【治痈肿】（本草）
以蒿实吞一枚即破。若热结痈肿无头者，吞之则为头易穴。另一方法用九月十月采阴干。

[Yege San] (From *Shenghui Fang*) Treats carbuncles that cannot suppurate.
*Puerariae Radix* (2 fen) *Os Draconis* (2 liang) *Zingiberis Rhizoma Praeparatum* (0.5 liang, processed and crushed) *Cinnamomi Cortex* (1 liang) *Trichosanthis Fructus* (2 liang, dried) *Polygoni Multiflori Caulis* (1 liang). The above are ground into a fine powder. Take 2 qian with warm wine at any time.
[Huangbai Tie Fang] Treats carbuncles and swelling with heat.
*Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae Preparatum* (processed) *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* *Bai Lian* *Scutellariae Radix* *Chuan Xiong*. All in equal parts, pounded and sifted. Mix with egg yolk to form a thick paste. Apply on cloth. Paste according to the size of the red, hot, and hard areas. Replace when dry.
[Wu Huang Gao] Eliminates toxic heat from carbuncles and swelling. Also used for pediatric erysipelas-like sores or tumors.
*Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* *Phellodendri Cortex* *Coptidis Rhizoma* *Curcumae Tuber* (1 liang each) *Minium* (0.5 liang). Grind into a fine powder. Mix with fresh water or honey water for topical application. Adding *Natrii Sulfas* is beneficial.
[Huangbai Tie Fang] Treats carbuncles and swelling.
*Phellodendri Cortex* *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* *Angelicae Dahuricae Radix* *Ostrea Concha* *Bai Lian*. All in equal parts, pounded and sifted. Mix with egg white for application.
[Tiannanxing Gao] (From *Baixuan Fang*) Treats wind-toxin causing boils and furuncles.
*Arisaema Cum Bulbo* (1 liang) *Phellodendri Cortex* (0.5 liang) *Adzuki Bean* (1 fen) *Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina* (one stick, non-borer, burned until carbonized but retaining properties). Grind into powder. Mix with fresh water to form a paste. Apply on skin paper. If already formed, it will rupture; if not, it will dissipate. Immediate effect.
[Zaotao San] Treats swollen carbuncles. Can be eliminated even if noticed after half a month.
*Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina* (burned until carbonized) *Juglans Regia* (burned until carbonized) *Arctii Fructus* (lightly stir-fried) *Forsythiae Fructus* (raw). Equal parts ground into fine powder. Take 3 qian per dose. Mix with warm wine. Take on an empty stomach before meals.
[Huanglian Tie Fang] (From *Shenghui Fang*) Treats carbuncles and swelling that have already ulcerated.
*Coptidis Rhizoma* *Phellodendri Cortex* *Sanguisorbae Radix* *Angelicae Dahuricae Radix* (1 liang each). Pound and sift. Mix with egg white and apply on cloth. Spread thinly. Align with the wound to allow discharge of pus/toxicity, ensuring ventilation is optimal.
[Wenzhong Tang] Mainly treats diarrhea with undigested food caused by excessive consumption of cold foods during carbuncle treatment, leading to cold invading the middle jiao.
*Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae Preparatum* (processed) *Zingiberis Rhizoma* *Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata* (6 fen each, processed) *Zanthoxyli Pericarpium* (240 seeds, ground). Boil in 6 sheng of water to obtain 2 sheng. Divide into three doses. Avoid *Algae*, *Brassica rapa* (Chinese cabbage), pork, and cold water.
[Tiantingli San] (From *Shenghui Fang*) Treats all types of carbuncles, ulcers, swelling, and toxicity.
*Lepidii Semen* (0.5 liang) *Akebiae Caulis* (0.5 liang, crushed) *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* (0.5 liang, raw, crushed) *Mao Cao* (0.5 liang). Grind into fine powder. Mix with water to form a thin paste. Apply on swelling. Reapply when dry.
[Bailian San] Treats carbuncles and swelling.
*Bai Lian* *Aconiti Radix* (processed) *Scutellariae Radix* (equal parts). Pound, grind, and sift. Mix with egg white and apply. Cure follows.
[Bailian Bo Tie Fang] Mainly treats carbuncles and swelling.
*Bai Lian* *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* *Scutellariae Radix* (equal parts). Pound, grind, and sift. Mix with egg white like mud. Apply thinly on cloth. Replace when dry. Alternatively, take a pinch of powder, boil in 3 sheng of water for three boils. Wipe the swelling dozens of times with cotton dipped in the juice. Mix with *Hanshui Shi* powder and apply on swelling. Cover with paper. Replace when dry. One replacement involves wiping with the boiled juice. Do this 30 times day and night.
[Sanse Gao] (From *Baiyi Xuan Fang*) Treats boils and furuncles before suppuration, extracting toxin, relieving pain, and reducing swelling.
*Margarita Concha* (0.5 liang) *Minium* (1 fen) *Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix* (1 liang, raw, ground). Mix evenly. Apply with water. Reapply when dry. Key point: ensure *Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix* enters the wound; its efficacy exceeds other herbs.
[Xiaozhong Gao] (From *Qianjin Fang*) Treats early-stage back carbuncles, or those lasting over ten days with redness, heat, severe toxicity, and continuous day-and-night pain unresponsive to other medicines.
Egg (1 unit) Fresh dog feces (size of an egg). Mix well. Simmer over low heat until consistency is appropriate. Shape into a cake. Apply on the hard part of the swelling head. Cover with paper and bind with cloth. Check frequently. Replace when the cake becomes hot. Do not let it shift or lose air. It works overnight. For chronic cases, apply every three days, changing once daily, until healed. This formula has a foul odor and should not be used on nobility. However, its curative power surpasses all other formulas. Other formulas are merely supplementary. Practitioners should understand this formula for emergencies.
[Shuitiao Gao] (From *Baiyi Xuan Fang*) Treats wind-toxin causing boils and furuncles.
*Arisaema Cum Bulbo* (raw, ground) *Alumen* (fine powder). Equal parts. Mix with fresh water for application. Reapply when dry.
[Another Formula] (From *Qianjin Fang*) Treats painful, distended carbuncles, and various suppurating swellings with retained foreign bodies (thorns).
Apply ten layers of fresh *Paulownia Leaf*. Bind with cloth, adjusting tightness appropriately. Change twice daily. Relieves pain, reduces swelling, and effectively debrides pus. In winter, use dried leaves rehydrated with salt water. Alternatively, use thin slices of *Paulownia Bark*. Very effective.
[Another Formula] Treats adult and pediatric carbuncles.
Apply fresh pig brain on paper. Replace when dry. 3-4 times daily.
[Jiemo Fu Fang]
Grind mustard seeds into powder. Mix with hot water, apply on paper, and paste. Alternative: mix with lard. Alternative: mix with pig bile to form a paste. Change three times daily.

Mix *Bai Jiangshi* powder with garlic, pound, and apply.

Pound *Verbenae Herba* and apply. The abscess head will emerge.
[Zhi Yong Fang]
Grind *Genkwa Flos* into powder. Mix with glue to form a porridge-like consistency. Apply. Toxic swelling will liquefy.

Mix dust from roof beams and *Malvae Verticillatae Caulis* in equal parts. Apply with vinegar.

Mix human milk with flour and apply. By morning, pus and blood will drain completely. Avoid touching with hands.

Burn gold foil rope to ash. Mix with December lard and apply to the lower edge. It will rupture without need for acupuncture.
[Chixiaodou Fang] Treats heat-toxin carbuncles dissipating, retention of evil blood, fullness, and edema with skin/muscle distension. Alternatively, apply pounded adzuki bean paste topically.
[Wujin San] Treats hard, discolored boils and furuncles.
Mix 4 liang rice flour with 1 liang finely chopped green onion stalks. Stir-fry until black. Pound into fine powder. Mix with vinegar according to amount needed. Spread on paper and apply to the lesion. Change once per *fu* (approx. 2 hours) to reduce swelling.
[Zhi Fengdu Yongjie]
Frequently dip *Carapax et Plastrum Trionycis* shell in rice vinegar, roast until red, grind to fine powder. Take with warm wine.
[Tongnong San] Treats various sores and subcutaneous abscesses that do not rupture. No needle or knife needed. One dose causes spontaneous rupture shortly. Effective.
Use one moth cocoon (single emergence type), burn to ash. Take with wine to induce rupture. Do not use two or three cocoons. One cocoon corresponds to one wound. Using multiple may cause multiple wounds. Do not neglect.
[Jue Yongzhong] Make pills from sparrow egg white, *Aconiti Radix*, and *Cuscutae Semen*. Take 5 pills with wine on an empty stomach.
[Zhi Yongzhong]
Apply clam powder mixed with vinegar to reduce swelling.
[Zhi Yongzhong Du Fabei, Sai etc.]
Grind adzuki beans into powder. Mix with good egg white and apply. Alternative: mix with fresh water. Apply on sore and surrounding red/swollen areas. Reapply when dry.
[Zhi Yiqie Chuangyong Tengtong]
Boil *Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina* in wine to make a paste. Reduces swelling and relieves pain.
[Lujiao Cu Fang] Treats sores, carbuncles, swelling, heat, and toxicity.
Grind deer horn with vinegar and apply. Alternative: grind with water to a paste. Apply 3-5 times daily. Also treats indurated carbuncles before suppuration.
[Zhi Yongzhong]
Use *Ampelopsis Radix* (wild grapevine root), found growing on fences/walls (commonly called Longcao). Pound root and apply.
[Another Formula]
Mix *Longgu* (dragon bone/kitchen hearth soil) with vinegar to form mud. Apply on cloth. Reapply when dry. Alternative: mix with garlic. Alternative: grind and mix with coriander, apply on carbuncle. Very effective.
[Zhi Fengyong Zhongdu Chiyou]
Grind *Duguancao* root with vinegar, extract juice, and apply.
[Zhi E Yongjie Zhongpo]
Grind coriander and *Viola* herb with hot wine to the size of a pill. Ingest.
[Zhi Gongzhong, Ruorourong Tuchu Zhe]
Soak 5 *Aconiti Radix* pieces in 3 sheng of vinegar for three days. Wash the area. Three times daily.
[Zhi Yongzhongdu Deng]
Quench *Ziyingshi* in vinegar, grind to powder. Decoct with ginger and rice vinegar for application. Grinding is also acceptable.
[Zhi Yong Weikui Ji Yongzhong]
Mix *Trichosanthis Radix* and adzuki beans in equal parts. Apply with vinegar.

Swallow hemp seeds. Facilitates pus formation and drainage. Effective.

Take the first hair from under the white chicken wing, one from each side. Burn to ash, grind. Take with water. Alternative: Burn 27-37 chicken feathers to ash. Ingest to induce rupture.
[Zhi Chuangwei Kui]
Mix *Mao Cao* powder with egg white. Apply thickly on paper. Replace when dry. Good for pain relief. Also for wind-toothache and facial swelling: decoct 5 liang herb in 1 dou water to 5 sheng. Swish hot and spit out. Finish in one day.
[Zhi Dan Fu Huhuang Fa Wei Yong]
Mix vinegar and fermented soybean (*Chi*) into a paste. Apply on carbuncle.
[Zhi Redu Yongzhong]
Apply pounded *Gastrodiae Rhizoma* stem and leaves. Alternatively, make tea from seeds to clear heat.
[Zhi Yongzhong Bu Xiao]
Mix earth wasp nest with vinegar and water. Apply. Replace when dry.
[Zhi Zhu Yong Faqi Wei Chi Zhong]
Grind *Trichosanthis Radix*. Mix with well water to measure "fangcunbi". Alternative: dry with vinegar, grind, mix with paper, and apply. Suitable for those taking mineral drugs.

Apply wax from cow ear. Cures immediately.
[Qingliang Gao] Treats initial carbuncles, sores, furuncles with heat and pain. Reduces toxic swelling.

[Baidi Hui Fang] Treats deep carbuncles (pain on deep pressure) vs superficial ones (pain on light pressure). Depressed area indicates pus. If ruptured but pus incomplete, bone may be exposed/necrotic. Guide pus out from below using horn. Once pus clears, bone regenerates. Remove necrotic flesh with escharotic paste.
Escharotic paste: Leach *Baidi* ash with water, boil to paste. Do not prepare in advance (causes thirst after 10 days). Also removes black spots. Wipe off promptly. Alternative: mulberry bark ash or white charcoal ash.

Pulse string-taut on Yangming left/right, forceful and slow upon pressure. Etiology: Eight Winds transformation. Pathogen in exterior (normal bowel/bladder, appetite, taste, no aversion to wind/cold, only dryness, pulse not floating). Interior-exterior harmonious, pathogen in meridians. *Neijing*: "Congestion in meridians causes sores." Upper body sores receive wind from above. Diagnosis: Eight Wind transformation. Treatment: Expel cold, harmonize meridians, prevent congestion.

[Neituo Qianghuo Tang] (From Dongyuan's *Lanshi Micang*) Treats tight, weak pulses on both sides of Chi position on Foot-Taiyang channel (gluteal carbuncle with severe pain/swelling).

Decoct in 3 cups of wine to 1 cup. Strain. Drink slightly warm on empty stomach. Cover carbuncle with layered clothing to enhance drug action, then remove.

*Cao Wu* *Tiannanxing* *Colocasiae Semen* *Adzuki Bean* *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* (root tip) *Chi Lian* *Angelicae Dahuricae Radix* *Ziheche* *Honeysuckle Stem* *Paeoniae Radix Rubra*. Equal parts powder. Mix with light vinegar and honey for application. Initial effect is strong. Melon juice mix is better.
[Kuinnong] (From Bao's Formula)

*Baidingxiang* (sparrow droppings, straight pointed tip) *Caowu Tip* (ground) *Mylabris* (remove head/legs). Equal parts, very fine powder. Mix with vinegar to paste. Point on high, soft, swollen area, size of chopstick tip. Formula is potent; do not use lightly.
[Zhi Yiqie Yongzhong, Daxiaobian Bi, Redu Wasuo Gong...] (From *Huming Fang*)
*Ephedrae Herba* (roots removed) *Moutan Cortex* (bone removed) *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* *Forsythiae Fructus* *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* *Astragali Radix* *Gardeniae Fructus* *Natrii Sulfas* *Primulae Radix* *Persicae Semen* *Fritillariae Bulbus* (heart removed) *Bupleuri Radix* (tips removed) *Qianghuo* (1 fen each) *Pinelliae Rhizoma* *Semen Sisymbrii* (1.5 liang each). Fine powder. Take 5 qian. Decoct in 2 cups water to 1.8 cups. Drink hot after meal. Indicate bowel movement. Then moxa directly on swelling center, 50-70 moxa cones. For cold swelling (hard, painless), skip medicine, moxa 100+ cones. Cold swelling must NOT take medicine.
[Zhu Yong] (From *Yonglei Qianfang*)
1 jin Raw Sesame Oil, 4 liang Minium, 4 fen Beeswax. Boil on day before La Festival noon until next morning. Add Minium/Wax to form paste. Avoid women/livestock sight. Mix with *Pingwei San* powder and yellow mulberry leaf powder. Apply with oil.
[Foshou Qudu Gao] (From *Yangshi Jiacang Fang*) Treats wind-heat toxin stagnation, Ying-Wei/Blood-Qi excess, carbuncle formation, persistent pain, muscle necrosis, red painful sores.
*Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* *Gardeniae Fructus* (2 liang each) *Bai Lian* *Forsythiae Fructus* (1 liang each) *Primulae Radix* *Fo-Shou* (0.5 liang each). Cut. Decoct in 1 jin refined lard until *Bai Lian* turns dark. Filter. Add beeswax based on season to form paste. Store in porcelain jar. Cool before application.
[Foshou San] (From *Yangshi Jiacang Fang*) Treats wind-damp toxin binding collaterals, Qi-Blood excess, impending carbuncles, limb wind-itch/pain/distension, phlegm nodules, wandering itching/pain.
