阳明燥金司天，少阴君火在泉，中见少羽水运。岁水不及，气化营运滞后于天时。燥气化为天气的主导力量。
所谓“征”（指火运受克时的表现），其消耗白色甲壳类和羽毛类生物。雨化和风化的胜复之气相同，这是邪气变化的程度。清化（凉燥之气）为九，寒化为1，热化为7，这是正常化的度数。
介虫（有甲壳的动物）安静不动，羽虫（鸟类）繁育生长，这是当年物候的适宜状态。介虫耗损，寒毒不能滋生，这都是地气所制约的结果。蛰伏的虫子出现，流水不结冰。
清热之气，持守在气交之处。民众患病咳嗽，咽喉阻塞，寒热突然发作，战栗、小便不通。清气先至且强劲，毛虫（无甲壳、有毛皮的动物）因此死亡；热气后至且暴烈，介虫因此遭殃。发病时表现为烦躁。
这一年，金气在上（司天），火气在下（在泉），水运在中。水胜火，火胜金。天气虚弱，水能制约火而助长金，金又生助运化之谷。
岁半之前，由阳明燥金主令。如果燥气过盛，则树木晚发芽，草木晚生长，筋骨内部发生变化，民众患病左侧胁肋疼痛。治疗宜用苦温平抑，佐以酸辛，用苦味药通下。
岁半之后，由少阴君火主令。如果热气内盛，则火焰浮现在川泽之上，阴暗处反而明亮。民众患病腹中常鸣响，气上冲胸，气喘，疟疾，小腹痛，腹部胀大。治法宜用咸味药治疗。
这是“涸流之纪”，称为反阳。闭藏的时令不发挥作用，草木枝条茂盛，荣华秀美充满旺盛。其气滞涩，民众患病小便不通，这是邪气伤害了肾脏。观察其气候，会有四时昏乱、骤雨倾盆的变化，则不时有狂风飘荡摇拉的变化。

Yangming Dryness Metal governs the Heaven (Si Tian), Shaoyin Ministerial Fire governs the Earth (Zai Quan), with Middle Jueyin Wind Wood and Shao Water Transport (Yun) in between. The year's Water transport is deficient, causing the Qi transformation to operate later than the celestial timing. Dryness transforms into the dominant weather Qi.
The term "Zheng" refers to the manifestations when Fire transport is suppressed. It consumes white-shelled creatures (Jie Chong) and feathered creatures (Yu Chong). The winning and repelling energies of Rain Transformation and Wind Transformation are identical; this represents the degree of pathogenic Qi transformation. Clear Transformation (Cool-Dryness) is 9, Cold Transformation is 1, Heat Transformation is 7; these are the degrees of normal transformation.
Jie creatures (shelled animals) remain quiet, Yu creatures (birds) reproduce and grow; this is the suitability of yearly biological phenomena. Jie creatures suffer depletion, cold toxins do not generate; all this is constrained by Earth Qi. Hibernating insects appear, flowing water does not freeze.
Clear-Heat Qi holds at the intersection of Qi. People suffer from cough, throat obstruction, sudden onset of chills and fever, tremors, and urinary retention. Clear Qi arrives first and is vigorous, causing Mao creatures (furred animals) to die; Heat Qi arrives later and violently, causing Jie creatures to suffer calamity. The onset presents as restlessness.
In this year, Metal is above (Si Tian), Fire is below (Zai Quan), and Water Transport is in the middle. Water overcomes Fire, Fire overcomes Metal. Heavenly Qi is deficient; Water can restrain Fire and generate Metal, and Metal generates the grains of the transport.
Before the midpoint of the year, Yangming governs. If Dryness exuberates and prevails, then Wood flourishes late, grasses and trees grow late, internal changes occur in sinews and bones, and people suffer from left hypochondriac pain. Treatment should use Bitter-Warm to level it, assist with Sour-Acrid, and use Bitter to purge downward.
After the midpoint of the year, Shaoyin governs. If Heat exuberates internally, flames float on rivers and marshes, and dark places appear bright. People suffer from constant abdominal rumbling, Qi rushing up to the chest, asthma, malaria, lower abdominal pain, and abdominal distension. The method should treat with Salty substances.
This is the "Era of Dried Streams," called Reverse Yang. The storage command does not function; grasses and trees flourish luxuriantly, their splendor and beauty fully abundant. Their Qi is stagnant. People suffer from urinary retention; this is pathogenic injury to the Kidney. Observing its Qi, there will be changes of four seasons' confusion and sudden heavy rains, leading to frequent changes of swirling winds shaking and pulling.
Yearly Water is deficient, Dampness therefore prevades excessively, the Long (Growth) Qi is used contrary to nature. People suffer from thigh pain, difficulty in thighs and knees, vexation and depression, foot... [Text breaks here].
