Use Bee larvae (Feng Zi) before they develop heads and legs. Stir-fry and eat. Or soak in wine and apply to face to make complexion bright and white.
Formula for removing alcoholic acne and facial sores.
Use 1 liang of Honey, 10 Bai Ding Xiang (Vomeris Os). Soak in honey. Dab on face morning and night. Alcoholic acne will naturally fall off.
Formula for treating nasal polyps and facial freckles.
Hu Dan (Minium), Sha [missing character], Ba Dou (Crotonis Fructus), Bing Yao (Medicated Cake) (each 3 qian). Grind into powder, add 1 bi (measure) of raw mineral Duan Shi ash. Mix with Egg White. Apply with goose feather brush. For freckles, prick with bamboo needle, dab medicine. When feeling pain and slight swelling, wash off.
Formula for treating mottled black/white complexion due to comedones.
Take bile from 5 Sheep Gallbladders. Mix with 1 sheng of good wine, boil until thick. Apply to face, three times daily.
Tu Gua Gao (Trichosanthes Root Ointment): Treats facial comedones with stagnation.
Use 2 liang of Tu Gua Gen (Trichosanthes Radix), pound into fine powder. Mix with Jiang Shui (fermented grain water) to form paste. Store in porcelain box. Before sleep, after washing face with Jiang Shui, use a small amount.
Formula for treating facial comedones and dark spots in women.
Take Hei Qian Niu (Pharbitidis Semen) in any quantity, soak in Tong Zi Xiao Nian (Boy's Urine) until soft and rotten. Grind extremely fine. First apply fresh Ginger Juice to the affected area, then apply medicine. Next morning, wash clean with warm wine. Severe cases resolve in no more than three treatments.
