Wind Disease (diseases caused by wind pathogen) patients present with fever in the body and coldness in the feet, stiffness and tension in the head and neck, aversion to cold accompanied by occasional heat in the head and bluish-purple complexion, redness of the eye vessels, isolated trembling of the head, sudden locking of the jaw (trismus), and opisthotonos (backward arching of the back).
After the wind pathogen invades.
Postpartum blood deficiency combined with sweating and wind injury can also produce opisthotonos syndrome. Any case of postpartum fever with bitter taste in the mouth, stiff tongue and tight lips, slight movement of the fingers, and urgent defecation should be treated as a wind disease.
