一方 治失声不出，用萝卜捣自然汁，入姜汁少许，时时细饮之。
一方 用皂角一条去皮、子，同萝卜三个煎服，数次，声即出。
一方 治无故咽喉声音不出，用橘皮五两，水三升，煮一升，顿服，效。
一方 治猝哑，用杏仁三分，去皮煎熬，别杵桂末一分，和捣如泥，每用杏核大一丸，
绵裹噙口中，细细咽之，日三夜五。
一方 用密陀僧为极细末，每服一钱，点茶饮之，声即出。
按上方皆治标之法。凡猝喑轻浅者，亦可取效，若系根本之病，不得概以为用。

按语：以上各方均为治标之法。凡是猝然失音且病情轻浅者，也可以取得疗效；如果是根本性的疾病，则不能一概使用这些方法。

One prescription: For treating aphonia (loss of voice), crush fresh radish to extract its natural juice, add a small amount of ginger juice, and sip it slowly from time to time.
Another prescription: Take one strip of Gleditsiae Fructus (Gouti, 皂角) with the skin and seeds removed, decoct it together with three radishes, and take the decoction orally. After several doses, the voice will return.
Another prescription: For sudden loss of voice due to no apparent cause, use five liang of Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi, 陈皮), add three sheng of water, boil until one sheng remains, and take it in one dose; this is effective.
Another prescription: For sudden muteness, use three fen of Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, 杏仁), remove the skin and decoct it. Separately, take one fen of Cinnamomi Cortex powder (Guixin, 桂末). Mix and pound them into a paste. Each time, take a pill the size of an apricot pit, wrap it in silk, hold it in the mouth, and swallow the saliva slowly. Take three times during the day and five times at night.
Another prescription: Use Pyritum (Miduoseng, 密陀僧) ground into an extremely fine powder. Take one qian per dose, mixed with tea for drinking; the voice will return immediately.
Note: The above prescriptions are all methods for treating symptoms (biao, superficial manifestations). They can be effective for mild cases of sudden aphonia. However, if the condition stems from a root disease (ben, fundamental pathology), these methods should not be used indiscriminately.
