For swelling and pain of the nail (onychia), as above, apply mixed with lard. (2.)
For geophagia in children, take powdered dry yellow earth with Coptis Decoction. (3.)
For ear sores and lip sores, apply Eastern Wall Earth mixed with refined lead oxide powder. (4.)
For ulcerated sores at the corners of the mouth, apply swallow's nest mud. (5.)
Bitter, astringent, non-toxic. Promotes tissue regeneration, relieves pain, stops bleeding, absorbs dampness, transforms phlegm, generates fluids, and clears heat from the upper jiao. Applied to various sores.
For rhinorrhea (nasal discharge) flowing continuously, insufflate the powder into the nose. (Verified Formula 1.)
For painful fissures of the lips, bake, powder, and apply with sesame oil. (2.)

For leukorrhea, use one liang of this herb, half a liang of incense ink, and one slice of pig liver. Cut open, take three qian each time, wrap in paper and bake until cooked, then consume with wine. (3.)
For sudden persistent diarrhea, take two qian each time with rice soup. (4.)
