(Sanguis Cristae Galli, Rooster's Comb Blood)
Salty, neutral, non-toxic. (The blood of a three-year-old old male rooster is superior.)
For tongue swelling obstructing the anus, this indicates centipede poisoning. Take the blood to soak the tongue and swallow it. (Verified Formula 1.)
For various insects entering the ear, dripping the blood in will cause them to exit. (2.)
For eruptive diseases such as measles and smallpox, mix with wine and take orally. (3.)
For centipede bites, apply externally. (4.)
For spider bites. Same method as above. (5.)
For pediatric convulsions where there seems to be pain, dripping a small amount into the mouth is excellent. (6.)
For sudden death caused by "Ghost Strike" (sudden unexplained collapse), drip the blood into the mouth for swallowing, then slaughter this chicken, place it over the heart area, and remove it only after it has cooled. (7.)
For pediatric fontanelle bulging (Jie Lu), drip the blood onto the site. Then powder with Chishao (Red Peony Root). (8.)
(Ji Nei Jin, Chicken Gizzard Membrane)
Sweet, neutral, non-toxic. It stops diarrhea and dysentery, enuresis, and seminal emission; controls metrorrhagia, leukorrhea, and intestinal wind bleeding. It reduces urination frequency and eliminates painful urinary dysfunction; clears irritability and heat, and alleviates strangury pain. For all kinds of oral ulcers, dental gangrene, Xiao Ke (Wasting and Thirsting syndrome), and alcohol accumulation, it is especially effective for stopping regurgitation.
For wounds that fail to heal, apply externally. (Verified Formula 1.)
For sores on the lower legs, same method, change once daily. (2.)
For Gan Shi (Gangrenous erosion) of the glans penis, calcine one jin [approx. 500g] of Ji Nei Jin on a tile until dry, grind into powder, clean the lesion, and apply. (3.)
For oral Gan (gangrene). Same method. (4.)
For sores in the anal region. Same method. (5.)
For Zou Ma Ya Gan (Rapidly progressing dental gangrene), grind together with Ku Fan (Alum) and apply. (6.)
For all oral ulcers, burn to ash and apply; immediate effect. (7.)
For Hou Bi (Throat closure) and Ru E (Mammillary Swelling/Tonsillitis), burn to powder, insufflate into the throat to induce rupture/drainage, leading to cure. (8.)
