霜后采金樱子入木臼中。杵去刺。擘去核。淘净捣烂。入锅水煎不绝火。煎减半。再滤净。
慢火熬成稀饧。每服一匙。温酒调下。活血驻颜。
【蕤仁】
主治功效：补益元气，明亮双目，强健精神，安定心神。（生用治疗嗜睡症，熟用治疗失眠症，与酸枣仁功效相同。）清除邪热郁结之气，破除心下部位的痰饮痞块。治疗鼻出血、鼻部痈肿。
蕤仁丸方：取蕤仁（去皮壳）、地肤子、细辛、人参、地骨皮、石决明（单独捣碎）、白茯苓、白术（炒制）各二两；熟地黄（焙干）、枳实各三两；空青（单独研磨）、防风各一两五钱；石胆（单独研磨）五钱；鲤鱼胆五个；青羊胆一个。将上述药材研成细末并混合均匀，加入胆汁，再加蜂蜜调和，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次服用二十丸，饭后服用。用于治疗云雾移睛（视物模糊如隔云雾）、眼前出现黑花、眼涩疼痛、视力昏暗，以及逐渐发展为青盲（失明）的眼疾。
又一方：取蕤仁三两，车前子、黄连各二两；青葙子、黄芩、秦艽、生地黄、羚羊角屑、防风各一两五钱；人参、天冬（焙干）、升麻、苦参（炒制）、地肤子、菊花、玄参（炒制）、羌活、决明子（炒制）、地骨皮、炙甘草、丹砂各一两二钱五分；麦冬七钱五分。将上述药材研成细末，加蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次服用二十至三十丸，饭后用百合汤送服。用于治疗内障和外障翳膜。
春雪膏方：取蕤仁四钱，龙脑（冰片）五分。将蕤仁去油后研成细粉，加入龙脑研磨均匀，再加入生蜜一钱二分，调匀后点入眼中。用于治疗眼部疾病引起的红赤、沙涩感。
【金樱子】
主治功效：补肾，益精，固肠。治疗脾虚泄泻、滑精、小便频数。
金樱子丸方：取金樱子（去刺核后焙干）四两，缩砂仁二两。研成细末，加蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次服用五十丸，空腹时用温酒送服。具有补血益精的功效。
金樱子膏方：霜降后采摘金樱子，放入木臼中，杵碎去刺，掰开去核，淘洗干净后捣烂。放入锅中加水煎煮，保持火力不断，煎至药液减半。再次过滤干净，用慢火熬制成稀薄的糖浆状。每次服用一匙，用温酒调服。具有活血驻颜的功效。
[Ruiren (Prunus Persica Seed)]
Indications: Tonifies Qi, brightens the eyes, strengthens the spirit, and calms the mind. (Raw form treats hypersomnia; roasted form treats insomnia; similar in effect to Suanzaoren [Ziziphi Spinosae Semen].) Clears pathogenic heat and resolves stagnant Qi; breaks up phlegm and epigastric fullness/stagnation. Treats epistaxis (nosebleed) and nasal carbuncles.
Ruiren Wan (Prunus Persica Pill): Ruiren (seed kernel without skin and shell), Difuzi (Kochiae Scopariae Herba), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Digupi (Lycii Cortex), Shijueming (Haliotidis Concha - separately pounded), Baifuling (Poria), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma - stir-fried), each 2 liang; Shudi (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata - baked), Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus), each 3 liang; Kongqing (Azurite - separately ground), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), each 1.5 liang; Shidan (Melanterium - separately ground) 0.5 liang; Carp gallbladder 5 units; Goat gallbladder 1 unit. Grind all herbs into a fine powder and mix evenly. Add the gallbladders, then add honey and knead to make pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 20 pills per dose after meals. Indicated for "cloudy vision" (visual obscurations resembling clouds), seeing black spots, dryness and pain, dim vision, and progressive blindness (Qingmang).
Another Formula: Ruiren 3 liang; Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), each 2 liang; Qingxiangzi (Celosiae Semen), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix), Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix), Lingyangjiaoxie (Saigae Tataricae Cornu), Fangfeng, each 1.5 liang; Renshen, Tiandong (Asparagi Radix - baked), Shengma (Bupleuri Radix), Kushen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix - stir-fried), Difuzi, Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix - stir-fried), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Juemingzi (Cassiae Semen - stir-fried), Digupi, Zhigancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata with Honey), Dansha (Cinnabar), each 1.25 liang; Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix) 0.75 liang. Grind into powder, mix with honey to make pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 20–30 pills per dose after meals, washed down with Lily Bulb Decoction. Indicated for internal and external cataracts/opacities.
Chunxue Gao (Spring Snow Ointment): Ruiren 4 qian, Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum) 0.5 fen. Remove oil from Ruiren, grind into fine powder, mix thoroughly with Longnao, then add raw honey 1.2 qian and blend well. Apply topically to the eyes. Indicated for eye diseases presenting with redness, swelling, and a gritty sensation.
[Jinyingzi (Rosa Laevigata Fruit)]
Indications: Tonifies the Kidney, benefits Essence, secures the intestines. Treats Spleen deficiency diarrhea, spermatorrhea, and frequent urination.
Jinyingzi Wan (Rosa Laevigata Pill): Jinyingzi (thorns and pits removed, then baked) 4 liang, Suosharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus) 2 liang. Grind into powder, mix with honey to make pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 50 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine. Benefits blood and tonifies Essence.
Jinyingzi Gao (Rosa Laevigata Paste): Harvest Rosa Laevigata fruits after frost. Place in a wooden mortar, pound to remove thorns, split open to remove pits, wash clean, and mash. Boil in water over constant fire until the liquid reduces by half. Filter cleanly, then simmer slowly over low heat until it becomes a thin syrup. Take one spoonful per dose, mixed with warm wine. Invigorates blood and preserves youth/beauty.
