七丸。酒灌下。少顷汗出。再服一次。再汗即解。治破伤中风。角弓反张。筋急口噤。 又
方。干雄蝎虎一枚。（微炙）蜗牛壳兰香根靛花雄黄麝香各一分。龙脑五厘。研末米醋煮糊
丸
黍米大。芝麻汤下十丸。日二次。治小儿一切疳瘦下痢。及无辜疳毒。如邪病者。 祛风散
蝎虎一条。（焙干）蚕砂五升。（水淘炒）研末。小麦面四升拌。作络索晒干研末。每服一二
合。
柏叶汤下。日三服。治疠风成癞。
【鲮鲤甲】
主治功效：开通闭塞的窍道，通行经络。治疗风痹、肢体强直、疼痛。抵御山间瘴气。治疗赤眼（目赤肿痛）、妇人乳岩（乳房肿块）、乳痈（急性乳腺炎）、乳汁不通、阴部疮疡。治疗小儿惊邪。消散痈肿，排出脓血。这是具有走窜特性的主要药物。
穿山甲丸方：取鲮鲤甲三片，蝮蛇半条，魁蛤半枚，生水蛭，生蜘蛛，斑蝥（去除头、足、翅），虻虫（去除足、翅）各两个，生蛴螬三个，蜈蚣一条，石膏一两，枯矾、滑石、芒硝、水银、龙骨、大黄、黄连、桂心各五钱，附子（炮制）二枚，雷丸十枚，巴豆十二粒，川椒二钱五分。将上述药材研为细末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用两丸，空腹时和临睡前各服一次。用于治疗白癞（白癜风或麻风病引起的白斑）。
穿山甲散方：取穿山甲（炒至灰焦并干燥），鳖甲（醋炙），赤芍、大黄（炒），干漆（炒至烟尽），桂心各一两，川芎、芫花（醋炒），当归各五钱，麝香二钱五分。将上述药材研为细末，每次服用一钱，用热酒调服。用于治疗妇人症痞（腹部积块），以及恶血攻冲引起的心腹疼痛，面色无华，四肢消瘦虚弱者。
通泉散方：取穿山甲（炮制后）研为细末，用酒送服一方寸匕的量，每日两次。用于治疗乳汁不通，以及因乳汁不下而形成的乳痈。
（注：若用朱砂盛于瓶内饲养穿山甲，直至其全身变红，阴干后研末服用。）
【守宫】
主治功效：治疗中风、瘫痪、手足不能抬举，历节风痛（关节剧烈疼痛），风疰惊痫，疠风（麻风病），血积成块，小儿撮口（新生儿破伤风症状之一），脐风（新生儿破伤风）。
守宫膏方：取守宫一个，剪去四足，连同血液一起捣烂，加入珍珠、麝香、龙脑香各一字（古代重量单位），研匀，用薄荷汤调服。用于治疗多年的惊痫，先服用祛痰药物，再服用此药效果更佳。
守宫丸方：取守宫三枚，生研；蛴螬三枚，用纸包裹煨熟后研碎；地龙五条，生研；草乌三枚，生研；木香五钱，乳香二钱五分，麝香一钱，龙脑五分。混合研成膏状，加入酒调和，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次空腹时用乳香酒送服三十丸。用于治疗难以忍受的历节风痛。
又一方：取守宫（炙干并去足）七枚，天南星（酒浸三日，晒干）一两，腻粉五分。研为细末，用薄面糊制成绿豆大小的丸剂。每次服用七丸，用酒灌服。片刻后出汗，再服用一次，再次出汗后即可痊愈。用于治疗破伤中风，角弓反张，筋脉拘急，牙关紧闭。
又一方：取干雄蝎虎一枚（微炙），蜗牛壳、兰香根、靛花、雄黄、麝香各一分，龙脑五厘。研为细末，用米醋煮糊制成黍米大小的丸剂。每次用芝麻汤送服十丸，每日两次。用于治疗小儿各种疳瘦下痢，以及无辜疳毒，症状类似邪病患者。
祛风散方：取蝎虎一条（焙干），蚕砂五升（用水淘洗后炒制），研为细末，拌入小麦面四升，做成绳索状晒干后研为细末。每次服用一二合，用柏叶汤送服，每日三次。用于治疗疠风发展成癞病的情况。
[Linscale Pangolin Scale]
Indications: Opens blocked orifices, unblocks meridians. Treats wind-bi (Wind-Bi), limb stiffness, and pain. Resists mountain miasma. Treats red eyes (redness and swelling of the eyes), breast cancer-like lumps (breast masses) in women, mastitis, galactostasis (inability to lactate), and genital sores. Treats pediatric convulsive disorders. Reduces carbuncles and abscesses, discharges pus and blood. This is a primary herb with penetrating and moving properties.
Pangolin Pill Formula: Take three scales of Linscale Pangolin, half a pit viper, half a giant clam, fresh leech, fresh spider, blister beetle (remove head, legs, and wings), horsefly (remove legs and wings), each two pieces; three fresh ground beetles (larvae); one centipede; one tael of Gypsum Fibrosum; five qian each of Calcined Alum, Talcum, Mirabilite, Mercury, Fossilized Bone, Rhubarb, Coptis, and Cinnamon Twig; two prepared Aconite Root; ten pills of Alisma fruit; twelve seeds of Croton Seed; two qian 5 fen of Sichuan Pepper. Grind all into fine powder, mix with honey to form pills the size of Chinese quince seeds. Take two pills at a time, once on an empty stomach and once before bed. Used to treat white leukoderma (vitiligo or leprous patches).
Pangolin Powder Formula: Take one tael each of Scaly Pangolin Scale (charred and dried), Turtle Carapace and Plastron (vinegar-processed), Red Peony Root, Rhubarb (stir-fried), Dried Lacquer (stir-fried until smoke ceases), and Cinnamon Twig; five qian each of Ligusticum Chuanxiong Radix, Genkwa Flower (vinegar-processed), and Angelica Sinensis Radix; two qian 5 fen of Moschus. Grind into fine powder. Take one qian per dose, mixed with hot wine. Used to treat abdominal masses (zheng pi) in women, and epigastric/abdominal pain caused by evil blood attacking, accompanied by sallow complexion and emaciation of the four limbs.
Tongquan San Formula: Take Pangolin Scale (processed), grind into powder. Administer one fangcun bi (a measuring spoon) with wine, twice daily. Used to treat galactostasis and mastitis resulting from milk stasis.
(Note: If kept in a bottle with Cinnabar until the body turns completely red, then dried in shade and powdered for oral administration.)
[Gecko / Shou Gong]
Indications: Treats wind-stroke, paralysis, inability to lift hands and feet, severe joint pain (li jie wind-pain), wind-zhu convulsions and epilepsy, leprosy (li feng), blood accumulation forming masses, neonatal trismus (mouth closing tightly), and umbilical wind (neonatal tetanus).
Gecko Ointment Formula: Take one gecko, remove the four feet, pound it together with its blood until paste-like. Add one zi (ancient weight unit) each of Pearl, Moschus, and Borneolum Syntheticum. Mix evenly and take mixed with mint decoction. Used to treat chronic convulsions and epilepsy; taking phlegm-resolving herbs first, followed by this medicine, yields superior results.
Gecko Pill Formula: Take three geckos, grind raw; three ground beetles (larvae), wrapped in paper and baked, then ground; five earthworms, grind raw; three Aconitum carmichaelii root (raw), grind raw; five qian of Costus Root, two qian 5 fen of Frankincense, one qian of Moschus, five fen of Borneolum Syntheticum. Mix and grind into a paste, add wine to form pills the size of Chinese quince seeds. Take thirty pills on an empty stomach with frankincense-infused wine. Used to treat unbearable severe joint pain.
Another Prescription: Take seven geckos (roasted dry, feet removed) and one tael of Arisaema Cum Bile (soaked in wine for three days, then sun-dried), plus five fen of Calomelas. Grind into powder, make pills the size of mung beans using thin wheat starch paste. Take seven pills per dose, administered with wine. Sweating occurs shortly after; administer another dose. Recovery follows the second sweating episode. Used to treat traumatic wind-stroke, opisthotonos, muscle spasms, and trismus.
Another Prescription: Take one dried male scorpion (lightly roasted), one fen each of Snail Shell, Litsea Cubeba Root, Indigo Naturalis, Realgar, and Moschus, plus five li of Borneolum Syntheticum. Grind into powder, make pills the size of millet seeds using rice vinegar paste. Take ten pills with sesame soup, twice daily. Used to treat various types of infant malnutrition with diarrhea, and innocent gan toxicity, presenting like demonic illness.
Qu Feng San Formula: Take one scorpion (baked dry) and five sheng of Silkworm Frass (washed with water and stir-fried). Grind into powder, mix with four sheng of Wheat Flour, form into rope shapes, sun-dry, and grind into powder. Take one or two he per dose, administered with Leafy Maple Bark Decoction, three times daily. Used to treat leprosy progressing to severe skin disease.
