将药物打糊制成梧桐子大小的丸剂，用朱砂末二钱作为外衣。阳日服用两丸；阴日服用一丸。若要固摄精气，用新汲取的冷水送服；若要使逆气下行、精液不妄泄，用温酒送服。均需空腹服用。（王好古《医垒元戎》）
治疗胡须变白：取两只小母鸡，只喂乌油麻（黑芝麻）和水进行饲养。待其产卵时，收集这些蛋。先产的蛋在表面打孔，填入朱砂末后用面糊封固，与其他鸡蛋一起孵化。小鸡孵出后取出药物，此时药性自然结实，研磨成粉，用蒸饼和药制成绿豆大小的丸剂。每次用酒送服五至七丸。不仅能令白发转黑，还能治愈疾病。（张潞方）
小儿出生第六天，用于解除胎毒，温暖肠胃，强壮气血。取如豆大的朱砂，细细研磨，加入如枣大的一块蜂蜜，调和后让婴儿吮吸，一天内服完。（姚和众《至宝方》）
预先解除痘毒，适用于痘疹初发或尚未发出之时。用朱砂末半钱，用蜜水调匀服用。病情重者剂量可稍减，轻者可不使用；重症用药可使症状减轻。（丹溪方）
Pulverize the drug with paste to make pills the size of *Wuzi* (seeds of the Chinese parasol tree, approx. 6-9mm in diameter), coated with 2 qian of Cinnabar powder. On Yang days, take two pills; on Yin days, take one pill. To secure essence (*Jing*), swallow with fresh cold water drawn from a well; to reverse rebellious Qi and prevent seminal emission, swallow with warm wine. Take on an empty stomach. To treat black hair turning white: Raise two small hens, feeding them only with Black Sesame Seed (*Sesami Fructus Nigrum*) and water. Collect the eggs when they are laid. For the first-laid egg, make a hole, fill it with Cinnabar powder, seal it with paste, and incubate it together with other eggs. After the chicks hatch, retrieve the medicine. The medicinal properties will have naturally solidified. Grind into powder, mix with steamed wheat cake dough to form pills the size of mung beans. Swallow five to seven pills each time with wine. This not only turns white hair black but also cures diseases. (Formula of Zhang Lu)
On the sixth day after birth, used to resolve fetal toxins, warm the stomach and intestines, and strengthen Qi and Blood. Take Cinnabar the size of a bean, grind finely, mix with honey the size of a date, blend well, and let the infant suckle it. Consume entirely within one day. (Yao Hezhong, *Zhibao Fang*)
To preemptively resolve toxin of smallpox, applicable when the rash is just beginning or has not yet erupted. Take half a qian of Cinnabar powder, mix with honey water, and ingest orally. If the condition is severe, the dose may be reduced; if mild, it may be omitted; for heavy cases, it can alleviate severity. (Formula of Danxi)
For neonatal fright, or convulsive disease (*Jingfeng*) nearing death within the first month: Grind Cinnabar with fresh cold water drawn from a well, apply to the "Five Centers" (both palms, both soles, and the heart region). This is highly effective. (*Doumen Fang*)
