【发明】时珍曰∶古人转女为男法∶怀妊三月，名曰始胎，血脉未流，象形而变，是时
宜服药，用斧置床底，系刃向下，勿令本妇知。恐不信，以鸡试之，则一窠皆雄也。盖胎化
之法，亦理之自然。故食牡鸡，取阳精之全于天产者；佩雄黄，取阳精之全于地产者；操弓
矢，藉斧斤，取刚物之见于人事者。气类潜感，造化密移，物理所必有。故妊妇见神像异物，
多生鬼怪，即其征矣。象牙、犀角，纹逐象生；山药、鸡冠，形随人变。以鸡卵告灶而抱雏，
以苕帚扫猫而成孕。物且有感，况于人乎？
藏器曰∶凡人身有弩肉，可听人家钉棺下斧声之时，便下手速擦二七遍，以后自得消平
。产妇勿用。

【主治】蛇咬毒入腹，取两刀于水中相磨，饮其汁。百虫入耳，以两刀于耳门上摩敲作
声，自出（藏器）。磨刀水，服，利小便。涂脱肛痔核，产肠不上，耳中猝痛（时珍）。

【主治】促进分娩，将铁器烧至通红，浸入酒中，待液体从孔洞中流出时，趁热饮下，即可顺利生产。旧式火铳效果更佳（李时珍）。

【主治】妇女难产、胎位不正横逆，以及胎盘滞留不出，将其烧红后浸入酒中服用。也治疗产后形成的血块瘀积，以及腰腹部疼痛（李时珍）。
【发明】李时珍说：古人改变胎儿性别的方子：怀孕三个月，称为始胎阶段，此时血脉尚未流通，胎儿随母体形象而变化，这时适宜服药。将斧头放置在床底，刃口向下，不要让孕妇知道。如果担心不信，可以用鸡来试验，那么一窝小鸡都会是雄性的。大概胎儿性别转化的方法，也是自然之理。所以吃公鸡肉，是取自然界动物中阳气精纯的特性；佩戴雄黄，是取大地出产矿物中阳气精纯的特性；持弓箭，借助斧头，是取人类事务中刚健物品的特性。气息类别之间潜移默化地感应，造化秘密地转移，这是物理规律必然存在的。所以孕妇看到神像或奇异物体，多生出怪异念头或现象，就是这种感应的征兆。象牙、犀角的纹理随着大象的形象生成；山药、鸡冠的形状随着人的形态变化。用鸡蛋对着灶台祈祷并孵化雏鸡，用笤帚扫猫而使其受孕。万物尚且有感应，何况是人呢？
孟诜（藏器）说：凡是人身上的弩肉（一种皮肤赘生物），可以听任别人在钉棺材放入斧头时，便动手快速摩擦二十一遍，以后自然会消退平整。产妇不要使用。

【主治】蛇毒进入腹部的咬伤，取两把刀在水中互相磨擦，饮用磨出的汁液。百虫进入耳朵，将两把刀在耳门上方磨敲发出声音，虫子就会自行出来（孟诜）。磨刀水，内服可通利小便。外涂治疗脱肛和痔疮核，产后子宫下垂，耳朵突然疼痛（李时珍）。

[Indications] To facilitate childbirth, heat the iron object until red-hot, quench it in wine, and drink the liquid that flows out while hot; delivery will occur immediately. Old cannons are particularly effective (Shizhen).

[Indications] For women suffering from difficult labor with abnormal fetal position (transverse lie), or retained placenta, heat the object until red-hot, quench it in wine, and ingest the solution. It also treats postpartum blood masses (*xuejia*, blood stasis masses) and pain in the waist and abdomen (Shizhen).
[Elucidation] Shizhen stated: The ancient method for changing the sex of the fetus: At three months of pregnancy, termed the "initial fetus" stage, the blood vessels have not yet circulated, and the fetus changes according to the mother's form. At this time, it is appropriate to take medicine. Place an axe under the bed with the blade facing downward, without letting the pregnant woman know. If there is doubt, one can test it with chickens; all chicks in a nest will become male. This method of fetal transformation is likely a natural principle. Therefore, eating rooster meat takes the complete yang essence from animals produced by nature; wearing realgar (*Xionghuang*) takes the complete yang essence from minerals produced by the earth; wielding bows and arrows, relying on axes and hatchets, takes the rigid objects evident in human affairs. Through the subtle mutual influence of similar qi categories, creation secretly shifts; this is necessarily inherent in physical laws. Thus, when a pregnant woman sees divine statues or strange objects, she often gives birth to deformed children, which is a sign of such influence. The patterns on ivory and rhinoceros horn grow following the elephant's form; the shapes of Chinese yam (*Shanyao*) and cockscomb follow human variation. By praying to the stove with chicken eggs and incubating chicks, or by sweeping a cat with a broom to cause pregnancy, even things are subject to influence, let alone humans?
Zangqi stated: Whenever there is a caruncle (*nu rou*, a type of skin tag) on the body, one may listen to others nailing coffins and placing axes underneath; at that moment, quickly rub the caruncle fourteen times, and it will naturally flatten and disappear later. Do not use this on parturient women.

[Flavor and Nature] Pungent, neutral, non-toxic.
[Indications] For snakebite where venom has entered the abdomen, take two knives and grind them against each other in water, then drink the resulting juice. For insects entering the ear, place two knives above the ear gate and rub/tap them to make sound; the insect will exit spontaneously (Zangqi). Water used for grinding knives, if ingested, promotes urination. Applied externally to treat rectal prolapse and hemorrhoidal nodules, uterine prolapse after childbirth, and sudden ear pain (Shizhen).

[Indications] For difficult labor lasting several days with no delivery, heat the object until red-hot, quench it in one cup of wine, and take it in one dose (Shizhen).
