Treats postpartum blood syncope (postpartum dizziness/fainting), as well as incomplete lochia discharge, stabbing pain in the waist and abdomen, or retained placenta accompanied by abdominal distension and fullness with panting.
Mylabris (49 pieces) Xuejie (Dragon's Blood, 1 fen). If unavailable, substitute with Moyao (Frankincense, half liang), separately ground. Wulingzhi (Trogopterus Dung, half liang).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Use one and a half sheng of wine and one and a half sheng of vinegar, slowly simmer over low heat until a paste forms. Mix the paste with the powder to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take ten to fifteen pills per dose.
Treats postpartum blood syncope, as well as "Erzhen" pain (postpartum abdominal mass pain), stagnant lochia, and pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions.
Mudanpi (Tree Peony Bark) Danggui (Angelica Sinensis, washed and dried) Baishao (White Peony Root) Yanhusuo (Corydalis Rhizome) Ganqi (Dried Lacquer, stir-fried until smoke ceases) Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome, remove rhizome head) Duhuo (Angelica Pubescens) Xiangfuzi (Cyperi Rhizoma, processed with heat) Guijianyu (Eucommia Bark, remove spines).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take two qian per dose. Decoct with half zhan of water and half zhan of wine until reduced to seven-tenths. Take warm before meals.
Treats incomplete lochia discharge after childbirth, intermittent chills and fever, and stabbing pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions. Removes blood stasis and nourishes new blood.
Mudanpi (Tree Peony Bark) Chishao (Red Peony Root) (each one and a half liang) Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) Danggui (Angelica Sinensis, washed and dried) Niuxi (Achyranthes Root, soaked in wine overnight) (these three each half liang) Rougui (Cinnamon Bark, wrapped and baked) Chenjupi (Aged Tangerine Peel, remove white pith).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take three qian per dose. Decoct with one zhan of water and three slices of fresh ginger until reduced to seven-tenths. Take slightly warm before meals and on an empty stomach.
Treats all types of qi and blood cramping pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions, as well as sluggish lochia discharge after childbirth and "Erzhen" painful masses.

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take two qian per dose, mixed with hot wine, before meals.
Treats various postpartum diseases characterized by qi and blood pain. Disperses hard masses and expels evil blood (stagnant blood).
Danggui (Angelica Sinensis, washed and lightly roasted) Moyao (Frankincense, separately ground) Luankou (Human Hair Ash, use male hair, burn in a small porcelain jar to ash) Lingxiaohua (Campsis Flower) Honghua (Carthamus Flower) (each half liang).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take two qian per dose, mixed with hot wine, before meals.
