The above ingredients are ground into a fine powder, mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 50 pills each time, administered with salted wine on an empty stomach.
Treats wind-toxin accumulation in the Liver Meridian attacking the eyes, causing swelling, pain, dimness, or formation of corneal opacities (Yi Mo) leading to unclear vision.
Cicada Slough (Chantui) (free from soil, 0.5 liang), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu) (2.5 liangs, soaked in rice wash water overnight, sliced and baked), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie Sui), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (roasted), Equiseti Herba (Muzei) (nodes removed), Cassiae Semen (Juemingzi), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin) (rhizome removed), Tribuli Fructus (Bajili) (baked dry).
The above ingredients are ground into a fine powder. Take 2 qian each time, mixed with Sichuan pepper soup; tea infusion is also acceptable, taken after meals.
Treats wind-heat toxic qi attacking the eyes, causing redness, swelling, pain, unclear vision, and a feeling of grittiness and difficulty opening the eyes.
Gentiana Scabra Radix (Caolongdan), Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix (Hanfangji), Rheum Palmatum Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang) (lightly roasted), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie Sui), Paeoliae Radix Rubra (Chishaoyao), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) (washed and baked), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (roasted), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng) (rhizome removed).
The above ingredients are chopped. Take 4 qian each time, add one cup of water and a lump of rock sugar the size of a bullet, decoct together until reduced to 70%, strain, and take warm after meals.
