手太阴复主表证却当汗

足厥阴复主血证却当下
右手沉实 调胃 承气
左手沉实 桃仁 抵当
右手浮实 枳实 牵牛
左手浮实 桃仁 四顺
右手 杂病是为之表 伤寒是为之里
左手 杂病是为之里 伤寒是为之表
脉地也。色天也。地生天则顺。天生地则逆。
假令得弦脉而面赤色。地生天也。地生天则顺也儿扶母兮瘥速也。
假令得弦脉而面黑色天生地也。天生地则逆也母抑子兮退迟也。
色者。阴中之阳气也 本乎天
脉者。阳中之阴气也 本乎地
浮为甲化 素言天 化 泄土
沉为乙不化 难言地 不化 泄木
泄土者 栀子 黄柏
泄木者 防风 羌活
洪浮者为丙便有水化。从其变也。
洪沉者为丁。只是火化。从其常也。
甲丙戊庚壬皆变。乙丙巳辛癸不变。（并只言木）杂病元无表证者。不可言左手。
有下证。只当言右手。足阳明中求之。
伤寒元有表证者。可言左手。有下证。下证者。血证也。当于足厥阴中求之。
脉之相合。各有虚实。不可作一体观之。假令洪弦相合。洪客也。弦主也。子能令母实
也。
弦洪相合。弦客也。洪主也。母能令子虚也。余藏可以类推之。至于手足之经亦相合。假令
伤寒脉浮紧而带洪者。即手经丙也。余仿此。假令侮所不胜者。挟其势也。脉弦而入金之分
。非挟火之势。则不敢侵金之分
弦而带数甲终于甲也
弦而带洪壬终于丙也
右手脉象对应行阴气二十五度：肺（与大肠相表里）、脾胃、命门、心包和三焦（进入体内，主管下部）。
左手脉象对应行阳气二十五度：心（与小肠相表里）、肝胆、肾、膀胱（七种表证，主管发汗）。
足厥阴肝经再次主管血证，却应当使用泻下法治疗。
右手脉沉而实，用调胃承气汤。
左手脉沉而实，用桃仁承气汤或抵当汤。
右手脉浮而实，用枳实和牵牛子。
左手脉浮而实，用桃仁及四顺清凉饮。
右手脉象：杂病中表现为表证，伤寒中表现为里证。
左手脉象：杂病中表现为里证，伤寒中表现为表证。
假如胃病使用泻下法治疗，出现脉浮且出汗的症状，就是这种情况。
假如脾病使用补益法治疗，出现脉弦且面色发青的症状，就是这种情况。
脉象代表地，色泽代表天。地生天则顺，天生地则逆。
假如得到弦脉而面色赤红，这是地生天。地生天则顺，如同儿子扶助母亲，病愈得快。
假如得到弦脉而面色黑，这是天生地。天生地则逆，如同母亲抑制儿子，病退得慢。
色泽，是阴中的阳气，本乎天。
脉象，是阳中的阴气，本乎地。
浮脉对应甲木化气，素问讲天化，泄土气。
沉脉对应乙木不化，难经讲地不化，泄木气。
泄土气的药物：栀子、黄柏。
泄木气的药物：防风、羌活。
洪大且浮的脉象对应丙火，便有水化之气，顺应其变化。
洪大且沉的脉象对应丁火，只是火化之气，顺应其常态。
甲、丙、戊、庚、壬皆属变；乙、丙、巳、辛、癸不变。（此处仅指木行之变）杂病原本没有表证，不可谈论左手脉。
有里实证，只应当谈论右手脉。在足阳明胃经中寻求治法。
伤寒原本就有表证，可以谈论左手脉。有里实证（下证），下证即是血证。应当在足厥阴肝经中寻求治法。
脉象的相合，各有虚实，不能一概而论。假如洪脉与弦脉相合，洪脉为客，弦脉为主，这是子能令母实。
假如弦脉与洪脉相合，弦脉为客，洪脉为主，这是母能令子虚。其余脏腑可以依此类推。至于手足经脉也相互结合。假如伤寒脉浮紧而带洪，即属于手经丙火。其余仿照此理。假如出现反侮所不胜的情况，是挟持其势。脉弦而入于金之分，如果不是挟持火势，就不敢侵犯金之分。
弦脉而带数，甲木终于甲木。
弦脉而带洪，壬水终于丙火。
The Lung Meridian of Hand-Taiyin again governs exterior syndromes, yet sweating method should be applied.
Right hand (circulating Yin for twenty-five degrees): Lung (paired with Large Intestine), Spleen and Stomach, Mingmen, Pericardium and Sanjiao (entering interior to govern lower part).
Left hand (circulating Yang for twenty-five degrees): Heart (paired with Small Intestine), Liver and Gallbladder, Kidney, Bladder (seven exterior syndromes governing sweating).
The Liver Meridian of Foot-Jueyin again governs blood syndromes, yet purgative method should be applied.
Right hand pulse deep and excess: Tiaowei Chengqi Tang (Regulate the Stomach Grand Fulfillment Decoction).
Left hand pulse deep and excess: Taoren Chengqi Tang (Peach Kernel Grand Fulfillment Decoction) or Didang Tang (Definitely Fulfill Decoction).
Right hand pulse floating and excess: Zhishi (Immature Bitter Orange) and Qianniu (Pharbitis Seed).
Left hand pulse floating and excess: Taoren (Peach Kernel) and Sishun Qingliang Yin (Four-Compliant Cooling Clearing Drink).
Right hand pulse: In miscellaneous diseases it manifests as exterior syndrome; in cold damage it manifests as interior syndrome.

Suppose stomach disease is treated with purgation. The appearance of a floating pulse and sweating exemplifies this.
Suppose spleen disease is treated with tonification. The appearance of a wiry pulse and greenish complexion exemplifies this.
Pulse represents Earth, color represents Heaven. Earth generating Heaven is compliant; Heaven generating Earth is contrary.
Suppose a wiry pulse is obtained with a red complexion. This is Earth generating Heaven. Earth generating Heaven is compliant; like son assisting mother, recovery is rapid.
Suppose a wiry pulse is obtained with a black complexion. This is Heaven generating Earth. Heaven generating Earth is contrary; like mother suppressing son, decline is slow.
Color is Yang Qi within Yin, originating from Heaven.
Pulse is Yin Qi within Yang, originating from Earth.
Floating corresponds to Jia Wood transformation, Suwen speaks of Heaven transformation, draining Earth Qi.
Deep corresponds to Yi Wood non-transformation, Nanjing speaks of Earth non-transformation, draining Wood Qi.
Draining Earth Qi herbs: Gardenia (Gardeniae Fructus), Phellodendron Bark (Phellodendri Cortex).
Draining Wood Qi herbs: Saposhnikovia Root (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Notopterygium Rhizome (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix).
Surging and floating corresponds to Bing Fire, possessing Water transformation Qi, following its change.
Surging and deep corresponds to Ding Fire, merely Fire transformation Qi, following its normality.
Jia, Bing, Wu, Geng, Ren all transform; Yi, Bing, Si, Xin, Gui do not transform. (Here only referring to Wood transformation). Miscellaneous diseases originally have no exterior syndrome, so Left hand pulse should not be discussed.
If there is an interior excess syndrome, only Right hand pulse should be discussed. Seek treatment in Foot-Yangming [Stomach Meridian].
Cold damage originally has exterior syndrome, so Left hand pulse can be discussed. If there is an interior excess syndrome (purgative indication), the purgative indication is a blood syndrome. Seek treatment in Foot-Jueyin [Liver Meridian].
The combination of pulses has respective deficiency and excess, cannot be viewed uniformly. Suppose Surging and Wiry combine, Surging is guest, Wiry is host, Son makes Mother full.
Suppose Wiry and Surging combine, Wiry is guest, Surging is host, Mother makes Son deficient. Other Zang-Fu can be inferred analogously. As for Hand and Foot meridians, they also combine. Suppose cold damage pulse is floating-tight and carries Surging, it belongs to Hand Meridian Bing Fire. Others follow this pattern. Suppose insulting the invincible occurs, it is carrying its momentum. Wiry pulse entering Metal sector, if not carrying Fire momentum, dares not invade Metal sector.
Wiry carrying Rapid, Jia Wood ends at Jia Wood.
Wiry carrying Surging, Ren Water ends at Bing Fire.
