三一承气汤
大黄 芒硝 浓朴 枳实（各半两） 甘草（一两）
上锉，每服二钱半，水一大盏，姜三片，煎至六分，入硝，再煎一二沸服。
瓜蒂散
瓜蒂 赤小豆（各等分）
上为末，豆豉汤调下一钱。未吐，再服。
白虎汤
知母（一两半） 甘草（一两） 粳米（一合） 石膏（四两）
上锉，每服五钱，水一盏，煎至六分，温服。
五苓散
猪苓 茯苓（去皮。各三钱） 官桂（一分） 泽泻（一两） 白术（一钱。《活人书》三
分，《宣明论》半钱）
上为末。
大陷胸汤
大黄 芒硝（各二钱） 甘遂（三字匕）
上锉，四钱，水一盏，煎大黄至六分，纳硝，再煎二沸，纳甘遂，温服。未利，再与。
小陷胸汤
半夏（四两） 生姜（切） 黄连（各二钱） 栝蒌实（半个，全锉）
上锉，水三盏，煎栝蒌至盏半，纳药，煎至一盏，分作两服。
大陷胸丸
大黄（半两） 葶苈（二钱，微炒） 芒硝（一钱） 杏仁（十二枚，去皮尖，柴炭炒变色）
上，大黄为末，研葶苈、杏仁为膏，丸如弹子大，甘草末三字、蜜半盏，水一盏，煎至半盏
，纳硝温服一丸，一宿下。若未利，再与。
大承气汤
大黄（锦纹者） 芒硝（朴硝有芒头者） 浓朴（去丝） 枳实（各半两）
上锉如麻豆大，分一半，用水一碗，加生姜三片，煎至六分，纳硝，煎一二沸，绞去滓，
热服。
三一承气汤
大黄、芒硝、浓朴、枳实（各半两），甘草（一两）。
以上药材切碎，每次服用二钱半，加水一大盏，生姜三片，煎煮至剩余六成药液，加入芒硝，再煮沸一两次后服用。
瓜蒂散

以上药材研为细末，用豆豉汤调服一钱。若未引起呕吐，可再次服用。
白虎汤
知母（一两半）、甘草（一两）、粳米（一合）、石膏（四两）。
以上药材切碎，每次服用五钱，加水一盏，煎煮至剩余六成药液，温服。
五苓散
猪苓、茯苓（去皮，各三钱）、官桂（一分）、泽泻（一两）、白术（一钱，《活人书》记载三分，《宣明论》记载半钱）。
以上药材研为细末。
大陷胸汤
大黄、芒硝（各二钱）、甘遂（三字匕）。
以上药材切碎，取四钱，加水一盏，先煎大黄至剩余六成药液，加入芒硝，再煮沸两次，加入甘遂，温服。若未通便，可再次给予。
小陷胸汤
半夏（四两）、生姜（切片）、黄连（各二钱）、栝蒌实（半个，全部切碎）。
以上药材切碎，加水三盏，煎煮栝蒌至剩余一盏半，加入其他药物，煎煮至剩余一盏，分作两次服用。
大陷胸丸
大黄（半两）、葶苈（二钱，微炒）、芒硝（一钱）、杏仁（十二枚，去皮尖，用柴炭炒至变色）。
将大黄研为细末，将葶苈、杏仁研成膏状，制成如弹子大小的丸剂，加入甘草末三字、蜂蜜半盏，加水一盏，煎煮至剩余半盏，纳入芒硝，温服一丸，一夜后可排便。若未通便，可再次给予。
大承气汤
大黄（选用锦纹者）、芒硝（选用朴硝有芒头者）、浓朴（去丝）、枳实（各半两）。
以上药材切碎如麻豆大小，分出一半用量，用水一碗，加生姜三片，煎煮至剩余六成，纳入芒硝，煮沸一两次，过滤去除药渣，热服。
Sanyi Chengqi Decoction (Three-One Purging Decoction)
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang, 大黄), Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao, 芒硝), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Nongpo, 浓朴), Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhishi, 枳实) (each half liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草) (one liang).
The above herbs are cut into pieces. For each dose of two and a half qian, add one large zhan of water and three slices of Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang, 生姜). Decoct until six-tenths remains, add Mangxiao, boil for one or two more boils, and take.
Gouti San (Melon Spicule Powder)
Cucumeris Fructus (Gouti, 瓜蒂), Phaseoli Semen Rubrum (Chixiaodou, 赤小豆) (equal parts).
The above herbs are ground into powder. Take one qian mixed with Viciae Semen Preparatum (Douchi, 豆豉) decoction. If vomiting does not occur, administer again.
Baihu Tang (White Tiger Decoction)
Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu, 知母), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草), Oryza Sativa (Jingmi, 粳米), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao, 石膏).
The above herbs are cut into pieces. For each dose of five qian, add one zhan of water. Decoct until six-tenths remains, and take warm.
Wuling San (Five-Ling Powder)
Polyporus (Zhu Ling, 猪苓), Poria (Fuling, 茯苓) (peeled, each three qian), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guangui, 官桂), Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie, 泽泻), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, 白术) (one qian; *Ren Shu* records three fen, *Xuan Ming Lun* records half qian).
The above herbs are ground into powder.
Da Xianxiong Tang (Major Chest-Trap Decoction)
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang, 大黄), Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao, 芒硝) (each two qian), Kansui Radix (Gansui, 甘遂) (three zi bi).
The above herbs are cut into pieces. Take four qian, add one zhan of water. Decoct Dahuang until six-tenths remains, add Mangxiao, boil for two more boils, then add Gansui. Take warm. If bowel movement is not achieved, administer again.
Xiao Xianxiong Tang (Minor Chest-Trap Decoction)
Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia, 半夏) (four liang), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang, 生姜) (sliced), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, 黄连) (each two qian), Trichosanthis Fructus (Gualou Shi, 栝蒌实) (half fruit, all cut into pieces).
The above herbs are cut into pieces. Add three zhan of water. Decoct Gualou Shi until one and a half zhan remains, add the other herbs, and decoct until one zhan remains. Divide into two doses.
Da Xianxiong Wan (Major Chest-Trap Pill)
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang, 大黄) (half liang), Lepidii Semen (Tingli, 葶苈) (two qian, slightly stir-fried), Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao, 芒硝) (one qian), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, 杏仁) (twelve seeds, peeled and tip removed, stir-fried with charcoal branches until color changes).
Grind Dahuang into powder. Grind Tingli and Xingren into a paste. Form pills the size of a bullet. Mix with three zi of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma powder and half zhan of honey. Add one zhan of water, decoct until half zhan remains, add Mangxiao, and take one pill warm. Bowel movement may occur overnight. If not, administer again.
Da Chengqi Tang (Major Order the Qi Decoction)
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang, 大黄) (select those with brocade patterns), Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao, 芒硝) (select crude saltpeter with芒 heads), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Nongpo, 浓朴) (remove silk-like fibers), Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhishi, 枳实) (each half liang).
Cut the above herbs into pieces the size of hemp seeds. Take half the amount, add one bowl of water and three slices of Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang, 生姜). Decoct until six-tenths remains, add Mangxiao, boil for one or two more boils, filter to remove dregs, and take hot.
