Xixian San (Frothy Saliva Powder) and Yuanrong Shengjin Wan (Yuanrong Golden-Beating Pill) are both recorded in the Phlegm-Rheum Section.

It is noted that for conditions caused by Qi stagnation or obstruction due to the Seven Emotions, the most appropriate treatment is to use dispersing and guiding methods, aiming to soothe the Liver Wood Qi. Generally, these conditions often involve internal Heat-Fire; therefore, the aforementioned formulas may not be entirely suitable. Practitioners should adapt them flexibly according to specific circumstances.

Ju Fang Suhe Xiang Wan (Prescription Bureau's Ambergris Pill) treats Qi disorders (disruption of Qi mechanism due to emotional or external factors), sudden Qi rebellion with heart pain, or symptoms resembling demonic influence/malicious Qi (sudden psychiatric abnormalities or toxic-like states).
Herbs: Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum), Shexiang (Moschus), Hezi (Terminalia Chebulae Fructus), Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos), Qingmuxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Anshixiang (Styrax), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma), Bibo (Piperis Kadsurae Fructus), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Baitan (Santalum Album Lignum), Xunluxiang (Olibanum), Suheyóu (Styrax Oil), Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum) (each 2 liang); Zhusha (Cinnabaris), Wuxijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu processed) (each processed).
The above herbs are ground into fine powder, mixed thoroughly with Anshi Gao (Styrax Paste) and refined honey, and formed into pills the size of a white mustard seed. Take four pills dissolved in warm water.

Note: This formula contains herbs corresponding to the Foot-Taiyang, Hand-Taiyang, Foot-Yangming, Hand-Taiyin, and Foot-Sanyin meridians.

Miscellaneous Formulas:
Yan Shi Simo Tang (Dr. Yan's Four-Marrow Decoction) treats upper Qi rebellion, panting, chest oppression, and loss of appetite caused by emotional injury.
Herbs: Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Binglang (Arecae Semen), Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum), Tiantai Wuyao (Illicii Mesocarpii Fructus).
Grind each of the four herbs separately with concentrated water, mix, decoct to obtain seven-tenths volume, boil for three to five times, and take warm.

Jinzhu Zhengqi Tianxiang Tang (Jinzhu's Righteous Qi Heavenly Fragrance Decoction) treats all conditions where Qi rushes upward to the heart and chest, causing stabbing pain in the chest.
Formula is found in the Women's Diseases Section.

Neijing Jue Lun (Treatise on Rebellious Qi in the Inner Canon) states: When Yangming Qi rebels, there is panting, coughing, body heat, susceptibility to fright, epistaxis, or hematemesis. When Warm-Yin (Warm pathogenic factor) is excessive, there is sweating, nasal congestion, and epistaxis. Shengqi Tongtian Lun (Treatise on Vital Energy Connecting to Heaven) states: In individuals with Yang Qi, great anger causes the form and Qi to separate, blood stasis accumulates at the upper part, leading to Qi rebellion. Jue Lun also states: If Spleen transfers Heat to the Liver, it results in fright and epistaxis; if the Bao Organ (Uterus/Bladder area) transfers Heat to the Bladder, it results in strangury and hematuria. Juzhong Lun (Treatise on Painful Disorders) states: Anger causes Qi to rebel; severely, it leads to vomiting blood, thus Qi moves upward. YinYang Bie Lun (Treatise on Differences of Yin and Yang) states: Jie Yin (Knotted Yin) manifests as hematochezia (see below). Zhen Jing (Needle Classic) states: Rebellious Qi originates in the feet, leading to coldness in the calves, followed by blood disorders (see Accumulation Section). Mai Jing (Pulse Classic) states: Lower bleeding where blood appears before stool is Jin Xue (Near Blood); where stool appears before blood is Yuan Xue (Far Blood).

Neijing states: A pulse coming like a suspended hook indicates epistaxis. If the normal pulse beats strongly, accompanied by epistaxis and body heat, death ensues. In Chang Pi (Dysentery) with pus and blood in stool, if the pulse is Xuan Jue (Wiry and Cut-off), death ensues; if Hua Da (Slippery and Large), survival is indicated. If blood is warm and body heat persists, death ensues. Mai Jing states: Pulses presenting as various forms of Se (Choppy), Ru (Soggy), and Ruo (Weak) indicate loss of blood. A pulse that is light and floating in the muscle layer, with the Chi position naturally floating, and yellow halos around the eyes, indicates epistaxis has not yet stopped. Taiyang pulse being Large and Floating indicates inevitable epistaxis or hematemesis. Patients with no color in the face, without chills or fever, having a deep and wiry pulse, suffer from epistaxis. A Floating and Weak pulse that feels cut off upon pressure indicates lower bleeding. Kou (Hollow) pulse indicates blood loss; Se (Choppy) pulse indicates scant blood. Chi pulse Slippery and Rapid indicates blood deficiency. Xuan (Wiry) and Jin (Tight) pulses with hypochondriac pain indicate organ injury and blood stasis. For hematemesis and spitting blood, if the pulse is Hua Xiao Ruo (Slippery, Small, and Weak), survival is indicated; if Shi Da (Excessively Large), death ensues. For spitting blood, if the pulse is Jin Qiang (Tight and Strong), death ensues; if Hua (Slippery), survival is indicated. Shen (Kidney) pulse being Xiao Bo Chen (Small, Beating, and Deep) indicates Chang Pi with lower bleeding; Xin Gan Pi (Heart and Liver Dysentery) also presents with lower bleeding.
