盖言走者属兽，飞者属禽。

鹿角煎胶补瘦羸，又安胎止痛。麝香辟邪而通窍，安客忤痫惊。
鹿角，味苦辛，依法煎炼成胶及霜入药用，止泄精遗尿。麝香，味辛温无毒，攻风疰堕
胎救产难。
安魂定魄，牛黄治风痫惊热。生肌止汗，龙骨止泻痢遗精。
牛黄，味苦平有小毒，除狂躁，治天行时气。龙骨，味甘平微温无毒，治女子崩，止小
便遗沥，疗阴疮。龙齿，镇惊治癫痫。
牛乳补诸虚，益气通肠，须求羊酪，獭肝开热胀，传尸劳嗽，有验堪凭。
牛乳，味微寒，性平无毒止渴。獭肝，为君。味辛温有毒，凡人素有冷气虚膨者，此二
味皆不宜服。
象牙出肉中之刺，熊胆医痔痢之灵。
象牙，味甘平无毒，生煮汁饮之，利小便；烧末止遗精；磨屑敷肉中刺，凡骨鲠者，磨
水服即下，更祛劳热止头痫。熊胆，味苦寒无毒，然难分真伪，取一粟许滴水中，一道如线
不散者为真，治天行热症诸疳。恶防风、地黄。
羚羊角明目去风，可保惊狂心错乱。腽肭脐温中补肾，何忧梦与鬼交情。

消宿血，除 癖气。
阿胶止血安胎，兼除嗽痢。犀角凉心解毒，杀鬼闻名。

片鹿角同煮，不尔不能成胶也。养肝虚劳极，止四肢酸疼。犀角，味苦酸咸寒无毒，驱风明

兔头骨，味甘平寒无毒，治头昏痛，兔骨治热中消渴。肉不可多食，损人阳气。孕妇食
兔肉，生子缺唇。不可与鸡肉及生姜同食。牛角腮，味苦甘无毒，消血闭便血，攻冷痢。
瓦雀肉则益气；卵则强阴。白丁香疗痈疔肿目。雄鸡乌者补中，赤者止血。黄 ，止
遗尿难禁。

药是伐病之斤，医实司人之命，言医药之治病，犹斧斤之伐木也。

象牙，味道甘、平，无毒，生煮取汁饮用，能利小便；烧成粉末可止遗精；磨成屑敷在肉中的刺上，凡是有骨鲠（鱼刺卡喉）者，磨水服下即可排出，还能祛除劳热，止头痫。熊胆，味道苦、寒，无毒，但难以分辨真伪，取一粟米大小滴入水中，若形成一条线不散开者为真品，用于治疗天行热症和各种疳积。畏恶防风、地黄。
羚羊角可以明目祛风，可以保全因惊狂导致的心神错乱。腽肭脐（海狗阴茎）可以温中补肾，何必担忧梦交与鬼交的情状。

Antelope Horn (Ling Yang Jiao) brightens the eyes and dispels wind, preserving against madness and mental confusion due to fright. Fennec Penis (Tan Na Qi) warms the middle and tonifies the Kidney, eliminating worries about nocturnal emissions involving sexual intercourse with spirits.
Antelope Horn (Ling Yang Jiao), with a salty taste, cold nature, and non-toxic property, can invigorate the fetus and facilitate delivery, benefit Qi, calm the mind, and dispel evil. Fennec Penis (Tan Na Qi), with a salty taste, hot nature, and non-toxic property, primarily treats epilepsy, resolves old blood stasis, and removes pi masses (abdominal lumps).
Donkey-hide Gelatin (E Jiao) stops bleeding and calms the fetus, while also relieving cough and dysentery. Rhinoceros Horn (Xi Jiao) cools the Heart, detoxifies, and is famous for its ability to slay ghosts.
Donkey-hide Gelatin (E Jiao), with a sweet and neutral taste, slightly warm and non-toxic, originates north of A County; black donkey skin is boiled in well water, then decocted with A Well Water to form true gelatin; one piece of deer antler must be boiled together with it, otherwise the gelatin will not form. Rhinoceros Horn (Xi Jiao), with bitter, sour, and salty tastes, cold nature, and non-toxic property, dispels wind, brightens the eyes, clears Heart heat and delirious speech, and treats epidemic pestilences.
Deer Antler Velvet (Lu Rong) benefits Qi and tonifies deficiency; for men, it treats seminal emission; for women, it stops metrorrhagia and metrostaxis. Tiger Bone (Hu Gu) dispels evil and wards off malignancy; for men, it removes wind toxicity; for women, it protects the fetus from fright.
For Deer Antler Velvet (Lu Rong), select those shaped like eggplants connected to the top bone; with a sweet and sour taste, warm nature, and non-toxic property, some say it has a bitter and acrid taste. For Tiger Bone (Hu Gu), the nature is neutral, taste is acrid, slightly hot and non-toxic; it treats malignant diseases and wind-bi with spasms and contractures.
Rabbit Skull (Tu Tou Gu) primarily treats headaches; mixed with water and burned to ash, it induces labor for difficult delivery. Ox Horn Beard (Niu Jiao Sai) treats metrorrhagia and leukorrhea; burned to ash for medicinal use, its effect is divine.

Sparrow meat (Wa Que Rou) benefits Qi; sparrow eggs (Que Luan) strengthen Yin. White Dingsiang (Bai Ding Xiang) treats carbuncles, furuncles, swelling, and eye conditions. Male chickens: black ones tonify the Middle Jiao; red ones stop bleeding. Yellow female chickens (Huang Ji) stop involuntary urinary incontinence.
Sparrow meat (Wa Que Rou), with a sweet and warm taste and non-toxic nature; sparrow droppings that stand upright are named White Dingsiang (Bai Ding Xiang). Male chicken meat, with a warm taste and non-toxic nature; black ones tonify the Middle and stop pain, red ones stop bleeding and treat metrorrhagia. The gallbladders of all male chickens are slightly cold, primarily treating blurred vision; the heart treats five types of evil pathogens; blood treats trauma; the lungs treat deafness; the intestines treat frequent and uncontrollable urination; the liver and left wing feathers treat impotence; comb blood promotes lactation.
The bat is known in medical classics as Fu Yi (Bat), capable of opening darkness and treating blindness.
Fu Yi is another name for the bat; with a salty taste and non-toxic nature, it treats cloudy vision and chronic eye dimness; long-term use alleviates sorrow. Its feces are named Ye Ming Sha (Night-Shining Sand), which can treat gan syndromes.
Medicines are axes for felling diseases; doctors actually manage human life. Speaking of medicine treating illness is like using axes to fell trees.
