毒蛇咬 急于咬伤处上下扎紧，使毒瓦斯不散，食蒜饮酒令饱，使毒不攻心，更捣蒜敷伤处，加艾圆灸之。

五灵脂（一两，水飞） 雄黄（五钱）
研极细末，用无灰酒调服二钱，滓敷患处，忌人参。
又方 黄豆根上又有白豆，取来口内嚼烂，敷之。
又方 川贝母为末，酒调尽醉灌之，少顷酒自伤处化水流出，候水尽，用渣敷咬处，垂死可活。
又方 明雄黄共蒜捣敷，内取白芷护心散。
白芷护心散 治毒蛇蜈蚣咬。
明雄黄 炙甘草（各五钱） 白芷（一两） 滴乳香（去油三钱）
共研细末，每服四钱，酒调服。
又方 水洗净脓腐，易水数斗，拭干，用鸭嘴矾、白芷、麝香各等分，研末敷之。

溃烂，用凤尾草捣如泥，敷上即收口，如不烂者，不必用。

又方 苍耳草阴干五钱。水一盅，煎热服取汗。
又方 炙油梳令汗出，熨疮口。
又方 雄黄末敷，日三四次。
蛇咬烂入骨者 白芷一两，胆矾五分，麝香三分，乳为细末，日日掺之，即愈。
赤炼蛇咬 用活公鸡刀割一块贴之，换贴两三块，自愈。
蛇咬方（周鹤仙）。鸡蛋三个，敲破蛋头，合在蛇咬之处，听蛋内有声变黑色，再
用一个合之；俟蛋内色变黄白，不甚黑，再用一蛋合之。自愈不疼，极妙良方。
又方 蒲公英捣烂粘贴，即愈。
又方 广木香不拘多少，水煎服，效不可述。
解毒散 治一切毒蛇并兽所伤，重者毒入腹，则眼黑口噤，手足强直。此药
平易，不伤气血，大有神效，不可以其易而忽之。白矾、甘草各等分为末，每服二
钱，不拘时冷水调下，敷伤处。
毒蛇咬伤，跌扑不起将死者。
香白芷（捣末） 麦门冬（去心）
好酒煎服，良久有黄水自伤口出，俟水尽肿消皮合，仍将药渣捣融敷。
水蛇刺伤 苋菜根顺擂，滚酒泡，以碗盖之，热饮取汗为度。渣仍敷咬处。
蝮蛇螫人 烧蜈蚣研末搽。
又方
北细辛 雄黄（各等分）
研细搽伤处，并治诸蛇及虎伤俱效。
毒蛇咬伤，应立即在伤口上下方扎紧，使毒气不致扩散；吃蒜饮酒至饱，使毒气不攻心；再捣碎大蒜敷于伤口，并加艾炷灸治。
又一方：

毒蛇及各类恶虫咬伤，毒气攻入肚腹者：苍耳草嫩叶捣汁灌服，并将药渣浓敷于伤口。
土虺毒咬（孙真人方）：让妇人对准咬处排尿浇淋，并用尿液清洗。
毒蛇疯狗咬伤（孙真人方）：人粪涂抹咬处极佳，新粪更好，其他药物都不如它。

Bite by venomous snakes: Immediately tie tightly above and below the wound to prevent the spread of toxic gas; consume garlic and drink alcohol until full to prevent the toxin from attacking the heart; then crush garlic and apply it to the wound, adding moxibustion with mugwort cones.
Another prescription:
Wulingzhi (Trogopterus Dung, one tael, processed by water flotation) Xionghuang (Realgar, five qian)
Grind into an extremely fine powder, take two qian mixed with unadulterated wine, and apply the dregs to the affected area. Avoid using Renshen (Ginseng).
Another prescription: Take the white beans growing on the root of soybeans, chew them thoroughly in the mouth, and apply to the affected area.
Another prescription: Grind Chuanbeimu (Fritillaria Bulb) into powder, mix with wine, and administer until intoxication occurs. After a short while, the liquid will transform into water and flow out from the wound. Once the flow stops, apply the dregs to the bite site; this can save a dying person.
Another prescription: Crush Ming Xionghuang (Realgar) and garlic together for external application. Internally, administer Baizhi Huxin San (Angelica Dahurica Heart-Protecting Powder).
Baizhi Huxin San (Angelica Dahurica Heart-Protecting Powder): Treats bites from venomous snakes and centipedes.
Ming Xionghuang (Realgar) Zhi Gancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root, each five qian) Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica, one tael) Dilixiang (Olibanum/Drop Frankincense, three qian, oil removed)
Grind into fine powder. Take four qian per dose, mixed with wine.
Another prescription: Wash away pus and necrotic tissue with water, rinse repeatedly with dozens of buckets of fresh water, and dry. Mix Yazui Fan (Alum from Duck's Mouth), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica), and Shexiang (Musk) in equal parts, grind into powder, and apply to the affected area.
Another prescription:
Wulingzhi (Trogopterus Dung) Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica, each five qian) Ming Xionghuang (Realgar, three qian) Dilixiang (Olibanum, oil removed) Moyao (Myrrh, oil removed, each five fen) Gancao (Licorice Root, two qian) Shexiang (Musk, three li)
Decoct with half water and half wine. Take orally, and apply the dregs to the snake bite site; this can revive the dead.
Another prescription: Use the vines and leaves of Banbianlian (Lysimachia Herba), also known as Jinqiancao (Desmodium Stoloniferum). Rub with saliva to wash and apply to the bite site for immediate healing. (Proverb says: If one knows Banbianlian, one can sleep with venomous snakes all day.)
Another prescription: Use leaves of Baiziye (Biota Seed Leaves) in any quantity. Crush with cold water, wash the wound, crush again, and apply. Repeat three to five times for healing. If the wound is broken and ulcerated, use Fengweicao (Pteris Multifida) crushed into mud for application to promote healing; if not ulcerated, do not use.
Another prescription (from "Ji Yan"): Dissolve Bai Fan (Alum), drip hot onto the wound while warm. Pain stops immediately, and toxic gas is expelled.
For bites by venomous snakes and various harmful insects where the toxin attacks the abdomen: Crush tender leaves of Cang'ercao (Xanthium Strumarium) to extract juice for oral administration, and apply thick dregs to the wound.
Bite by Tu Hui (local viper) (Sun Simiao's prescription): Have a woman urinate directly onto the bite site and wash with urine.
Bites by venomous snakes and rabid dogs (Sun Simiao's prescription): Applying human feces to the bite site is excellent; fresh feces are even better. No other medicine compares.
Bite by venomous snake: Use half a sheng of glutinous rice, discarding those that are half-eaten. Have men and women in the household chew it thoroughly and apply to the bite site. After a short while, black gas will emerge from the wound. Replace the dressing frequently; purple-black bloody fluid will discharge, swelling will subside, and pain will cease.
Snake bite: Collect fresh Dalan Ye (Isatis Leaf) or Xiao Lan Ye (Indigo Leaf), crush to extract juice, mix with milk consistency, sprinkle Xionghuang (Realgar) powder, and apply.
Another prescription: Take one pill of Zijin Ding (Purple Gold Pill), ground in wine for oral administration; drinking more is advisable to induce sweating. Then, grind another Zijin Ding (Purple Gold Pill) into paste and apply to the bite site.
Another prescription: Crush Huangdou Ye (Soybean Leaf) until very soft and apply to the bite site.
Swelling and pain caused by spreading snake venom: Smoke with paper twists soaked in sesame oil (Shama You).
Bite by venomous snake: Heat a tobacco pipe and drip oil onto the affected area; this is highly effective.
Another prescription: Crush Ni Ha (Clam Mud/Shell) and apply to the bite site for healing.
Another prescription: Take one tael of Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica) powder, mix with boiling water, and ingest; this can revive the dead.
Another prescription:
Chanshanjia (Pangolin Scales, prepared) Guangmuxiang (Costus Root, each five qian)
Grind into fine powder, take with hot wine.
Another prescription (Snake Catcher's method):
Quanxie (Scorpion, two pieces, ground) Wugong (Centipede, one or two strips, roasted)
Mix evenly, take with wine for immediate recovery.
Another prescription (Manuscript):
Beixixin (Asarum, five qian) Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica, five qian) Xionghuang (Realgar, five fen)
Grind finely. Take two qian per dose, mixed with wine.
Another prescription: Apply oil from inside a tobacco pipe around the swollen area to reduce swelling. Do not apply inside the bite hole.
Another prescription: Crush Lan Ye (Isatis Leaf) to extract juice, mix with Xionghuang (Realgar) powder, and apply.
Another prescription: Take one qian of Xionghuang (Realgar) and two qian of Sheng Fan (Raw Alum), melt in a spoon. Dip the tip of a chopstick into the medicine and touch the wound. Change when cool. Repeat seven times.
Another prescription: Crush Yingtao Ye (Cherry Leaf) and apply to the affected area. Drink the extracted juice to prevent internal invasion of toxins.
Another prescription: Crush Banbianlian (Lysimachia Herba), extract two liang of juice, mix with four liang of hot wine, drink to induce sweating, and apply the dregs externally for better effect.
Another prescription: Dry Cang'ercao (Xanthium Strumarium) in shade, five qian. Decoct in one cup of water, heat, and drink to induce sweating.
Another prescription: Use a comb heated with oil to induce sweating, and apply heat compress to the wound.
Another prescription: Apply Xionghuang (Realgar) powder, three to four times daily.
Snake bite penetrating to bone: Take one tael of Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica), five fen of Danfan (Blue Vitriol), and three fen of Shexiang (Musk). Grind into fine powder and sprinkle daily for healing.
Bite by Chi Lian She (Red-banded Snake): Cut a piece from a live rooster and apply to the wound. Replace with two or three pieces for spontaneous healing.
Snake Bite Prescription (Zhou Hexian's method): Take three eggs, crack the top, and place over the snake bite site. Listen for sounds and observe if the egg turns black. Replace with another egg. When the color changes to yellowish-white and is no longer very black, use a third egg. This promotes painless spontaneous healing; it is an excellent prescription.
Another prescription: Crush Pugongying (Dandelion) and apply as a paste for healing.
Another prescription: Use Guangmuxiang (Costus Root) in any quantity, decoct in water, and drink. The efficacy is indescribable.
Jiedu San (Detoxification Powder): Treats all injuries from venomous snakes and beasts. In severe cases where toxin enters the abdomen, symptoms include blackened eyes, locked jaw, and rigid limbs. This prescription is mild, does not damage Qi and Blood, and is highly effective. Do not neglect it because it is simple. Mix Bai Fan (Alum) and Gancao (Licorice Root) in equal parts into powder. Take two qian per dose, mixed with cold water at any time, and apply to the wound.
For severe venomous snake bites causing collapse and near death:
Xiang Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica, ground) Maidong (Ophiopogon Tuber, heart removed)
Decoct in good wine. After some time, yellow fluid will discharge from the wound. Wait until the fluid stops, swelling subsides, and skin closes. Then crush the dregs and apply.
Bite by Water Snake: Pound Aixin Cai Gen (Amaranth Root) along the grain, soak in boiling wine, cover with a bowl, drink hot to induce sweating. Apply dregs to the bite site.
Bite by Viper: Burn Wugong (Centipede), grind into powder, and apply.
Another prescription:
Beixixin (Asarum) Xionghuang (Realgar, equal parts)
Grind finely and apply to the wound. Also effective for bites from various snakes and tigers.
