Chen Shigong said: When worms like small maggots appear in the female yin orifice, it is due to the stagnation of Heart Qi transforming into pathogenic fire. (*Waike Zhengzong*)
He also said: There are also women who have lived in widowhood for a long time, where lustful fire moves recklessly yet becomes stagnant, and stagnant fire moves recklessly again. Pathogenic fire lingers for a long time, often causing itching in the yin, generation of worms that eat the internal organs, rotting of the yin, stabbing pain, dripping foul water, dry mouth, fever, emaciation, loss of appetite, cough with phlegm. Those with this syndrome cannot be cured by medicine and will eventually die. This is also called Shihe Syndrome, similar to Tuberculosis Consumption (Laozai). (*Waike Zhengzong*)
He also said: For Yin Sores, use Siwu Decoction (Four Substances Decoction) added with Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian), Gentian Root (Longdancao), Akebia Caulis (Mutong), and Acorus Tatarinowii Rhizome (Shichangpu) to unblock and dissipate Heart orifice stagnation. Externally, apply Yinxing San inserted into the yin.
He also said: When nodules grow outside the genitalia and fine worms cause unbearable itching inside, this leads to death as the worms eat the internal organs, causing frequent chills and fever, similar to Tuberculosis Consumption (Laozai). Due to shame, patients do not speak of it. After prolonged neglect, they become sallow-faced and emaciated, with cough and phlegm. Many cases go untreatable. Urgently administer Xiaoyao San swallowed with Lu Hui Wan (Aloe Pill), and externally insert Yinxing San wrapped in cotton to kill worms and stop itching. Gradual healing occurs within half a month.
He also said: When red worms grow inside the genitalia, one cun long or five to six fen short, the treatment method should prioritize Guipi Decoction (Restore the Spleen Decoction) added with Gardenia Fruit (Shanzhi), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu), Moutan Cortex (Mudanpi), and Licorice Root (Gancao).
Dou Hanqing said: Women's temperament is often biased and prone to stagnation. If desires are unfulfilled, the fire of the Heart, Liver, and Kidney meridians rises abruptly, leading to sores inside the yin, or Chancre (Ganchuang), or Flower-like Ulcers (Fanhuachuang). The yin is extremely itchy, named Du Chuang (Jealousy Sore), also known as Yin Erosion Sore (Yinshi Chuang). Extremely painful and itchy, feeling like insects crawling, with dripping pus, all generated by the combination of Damp-Heat and Heart Fire.
Li Dongyuan said: Female Yin Erosion Sore is caused by deficiency pathogens in the Kidneys, heat accumulation in the Lower Jiao, obstruction of collaterals, and stagnation of Qi and Blood. Or, due to unclean bathing after sexual desire, sores arise. If endured without medical treatment, swelling becomes severe. Since the sore is internal, treatment is difficult, causing pain and oppression, or dysuria resembling strangury. After ten-plus days, ulceration with pus and blood occurs, muscle erosion, or continuous bleeding, forming Chancre (Xiagan). In men, the testicles swell and ulcerate. (*Yixue Shibu*)
Zhang Jingyue said: Yin Erosion affects the interior of the yin orifice. One itch causes bone-deep numbness and sourness; one pain connects to the heart. This is largely due to careless protection postpartum, allowing Wind-Cold to invade internally, or improper regulation during menstruation, leading to internal Damp-Heat. If sexual intercourse occurs before one month postpartum, while menstrual blood is not clean, injury from lust, or contracting Chancre (Ganchuang), or due to Liver stagnation, worms generate in the uterus causing itching, ulceration with foul discharge. Failure to treat properly leads to uterine prolapse and yin orifice eversion. Use Jigan San (Chicken Liver Powder) or Sigua San (Luffa Powder) for insertion, wash with Bima Tang (Ricinus Decoction), and fumigate with Aiye San (Mugwort Leaf Powder).
