Song on Corneal Opacity Caused by Trauma: Corneal opacity arises from trauma or puncture, leaving behind marks of the injury; over time, blood stasis forms, leading to the development of visual obstructions. If red vessels and astringent pain are present, Jingxiao San (Classic Efficacy Powder) should be used, which contains Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix), Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Dang Gui Wei (Angelicae Sinensis Radix caudex), Chi Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Gan Cao Shao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma extremity), and Xi Jiao (Rhino Ceratosis).
[Note] The condition of "corneal opacity caused by trauma" often results from wounds inflicted by bamboo or wooden splinters. Due to incomplete treatment, scars remain for a long time, causing blood stasis to accumulate and form opacities. This presents with red vessels throughout the eye, accompanied by astringent pain and tearing. Jingxiao San is suitable to clear heat and dissipate stasis.
Jingxiao San Formula
Chai Hu (2 qian) Da Huang (1 qian) Dang Gui Wei (1 qian) Chi Shao Yao (1 qian) Gan Cao Shao (0.5 qian) Xi Jiao (1 qian)
Grind the above ingredients into a coarse powder. Decoct with two cups of water until reduced to one cup. Strain and take warm after meals.
Song on Needle-like Pain: Needle-like pain indicates blazing Heart Fire; the eyeball feels as if pierced by a needle; accompanied by headache, vertigo, and tension in the eye meridians. After acupuncture, Jiawei Bazheng San (Modified Eight-Positive Powder) should be taken, containing Che Qian Zi (Plantaginis Semen), Bian Xu (Polygoni Avicularis Herba), Hua Shi (Talcum), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata), Zhu Ye (Bambusae Folium), Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), and Qu Mai (Dianthi Herba).
[Note] Needle-like pain is caused by toxic fire blazing in the Heart meridian, resulting in sudden severe pain in the eyeball as if pierced, slightly accompanied by headache, vertigo, and tension in the eye meridians. Initially, fire needling at Taiyang (Ex-HN5) should be used to disperse external pathogens; subsequently, Jiawei Bazheng San should be taken to drain internal heat.

Externally wash with Guangda Zhongming Tang (Broad and Heavy Brightening Decoction); internally take Jing Fang Qiang Wu Xiong (Jing Jie, Fang Feng, Qiang Huo, Chuan Wu, Chuan Xiong).
[Note] Itchiness in the eyes is caused by Wind pathogen attacking the Liver and Gallbladder meridians. It may occur at the eyelid margins or inside the eyelids, and in severe cases, the itch extends to the eyeball, becoming unbearable. Externally fumigate and wash with Guangda Zhongming Tang; internally take Qufeng Yizi San (Wind-Dispersing One-Character Powder) to disperse Wind pathogen.
