Take two to three taels of fine tea, place it in a large clay pot, add five to seven bowls of water. Seal the pot lid tightly, bring to a boil for five or six times, then open the lid. While the steam is rising, fumigate the head and eyes.
Cover the head with a cloth sheet, ensuring both the head and the body of the medicine pot are enclosed within the sheet; if the medicinal vapor is too hot, raise the head slightly; when it becomes moderately warm, lower the head slightly. Tears, nasal discharge, and phlegm from the mouth will all flow into the pot. The process should continue until the water cools down and the throat feels cool. After fumigation, keep the head covered while sleeping, and avoid exposure to wind. Once the heat-toxin is expelled, the head and eyes will feel relaxed, leading to immediate recovery. For severe cases, fumigate one or two more times. This method is often used when entering large markets or encountering harmful environmental factors while walking that affect the eyes.
