红珊瑚 珍珠 辰砂 硼砂（各等分）
俱生用，研细极无声，每日点二次。
疹未满二十一日，而目疾作，宜用∶
柴胡 本 生地黄 连翘 细辛 黄柏（酒制）
川黄连 当归 甘草（各四分） 花粉 吴茱萸 白术
苏木 陈皮 干葛根（各二分） 麻黄 防风 升麻
川羌活（各五分） 黄芩（酒制） 苍术（泔水制） 川芎（各三分）
水二钟，煎一钟，去渣，温服。
痘后双目开而复闭，宜用∶
黄丹（飞） 软石膏末（各二钱）
入酒杯内，加凉水，羊毛笔蘸药水，涂上下眼皮，
一日数次。勿令药水入眼内。不点。
痘后眼暴疼，宜用∶
生白矾，核桃大一块，研细，入茶杯内，鸡蛋清
调，鸡翎扫眼皮上下，干了再扫，四、五次，其疼立
止。不宜入眼内。凡眼疼俱用。
痘后，双目黑白分明，不能见物，宜用四物汤，
次用地黄汤。
痘后见风早，眼皮赤烂，宜用十二将军二圣散（方
见真人《秘诀》）。
痘后目中无病，眼不开，宜用仙人灵膏（方见三
卷）。
痘后眼胞肿，不能展缩开合，宜用矾连膏洗（方
见三卷）。
小儿痘出之时，用干胭脂蜜调匀，抹眼眶，痘毒
不入于目。痘后不出百日眼病，不宜点片、麝眼药。
若误用片、麝，走散正气，则伤命矣。宜点退云散（方
在前）。
红珊瑚、珍珠、辰砂、硼砂（各取等量）
全部生用，研磨至极细程度，直至听不到颗粒摩擦的声音，每天点眼两次。
出疹未满二十一日，而眼部疾病发作，适宜使用：

用水两钟，煎煮至一钟，滤去药渣，温服。
痘后双眼睁开后又闭合，适宜使用：
黄丹（飞过）软石膏末（各二钱）
放入酒杯内，加入凉水，用羊毛笔蘸取药水，涂抹上下眼睑，
一天数次。不要让药水进入眼内。不点涂。
痘后眼睛突然剧烈疼痛，适宜使用：
生白矾，核桃大小一块，研磨细，放入茶杯内，用鸡蛋清
调和，用鸡毛扫帚扫拭上下眼皮，干了再扫，四到五次，疼痛立即停止。不宜让药液进入眼内。凡是眼痛都适用。
痘后，双眼黑白分明，但不能视物，适宜使用四物汤，
接着使用地黄汤。
痘后过早见风，眼睑红肿溃烂，适宜使用十二将军二圣散（方剂见真人《秘诀》）。
痘后眼中无病，但眼睛睁不开，适宜使用仙人灵膏（方剂见第三卷）。
痘后眼睑肿胀，不能自如开合，适宜使用矾连膏清洗（方剂见第三卷）。
小儿出痘时，用干胭脂蜜调匀，涂抹眼眶，痘毒就不会侵入眼睛。痘后未满百日出现的眼病，不适宜点涂含有冰片、麝香的眼药。
如果误用冰片、麝香，会导致正气散失，从而危及生命。适宜点涂退云散（方剂在前面）。
Red Coral (Hong Shanhu), Pearl (Zhenzhu), Cinnabar (Chensha), and Borax (Pengsha) (equal parts).
All used raw, ground to an extremely fine powder until no sound is heard when rubbed. Apply to the eyes twice daily.
If eye disease occurs before twenty-one days have passed since the eruption of rashes, the following prescription is suitable:
Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Ligustici Rhizoma et Radix (Ben), Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Sheng Dihuang), Forsythiae Fructus (Lianqiao), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai, processed with wine),
Coptidis Rhizoma (Chuan Huanglian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, each 4 fen), Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma (Huafen), Evodiae Fructus (Wuzhuyu), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu),
Sappan Lignum (Sumu), Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), Puerariae Radix (Gan Gegen), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma),
Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Chuan Qianghuo, each 5 fen), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin, processed with wine), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu, processed with rice water), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (each 3 fen).
Add two zhong of water, decoct to one zhong, strain, and take warm.
After smallpox, if both eyes open and then close again, the following is suitable:
Minium (Fei), Gypsum Fibrosum Powder (Ruan Shigao) (each 2 qian).
Place in a wine cup, add cool water, dip a wool pen into the solution, and apply to the upper and lower eyelids several times a day. Do not let the solution enter the eyeball. Do not apply inside the eye.
After smallpox, if the eyes suffer sudden severe pain, the following is suitable:
Alumen (Sheng Baifan), a piece the size of a walnut, ground finely, placed in a tea cup, mixed with egg white (Jidan Qing), and swept over the upper and lower eyelids with a chicken feather broom. Repeat sweeping after it dries, four or five times, and the pain will stop immediately. Do not let the medicine enter the eye. This is applicable for all types of eye pain.
After smallpox, if the black and white of the eyes are distinct but vision is impaired, Siwu Decoction (Four Substances Decoction) is suitable, followed by Dihuang Decoction (Rehmannia Decoction).
If exposed to wind too early after smallpox, causing redness and ulceration of the eyelids, Twelve Generals Two Sages Powder (Shier Jiangjun Ersheng San) is suitable (formula see Zhenren's "Secret Manual").
If there is no pathology in the eyes after smallpox but they cannot open, Xianrenling Ointment (Immortal Spirit Ointment) is suitable (formula see Volume 3).
If the eyelids swell after smallpox and cannot open or close freely, Fanlian Paste (Alum and Scutellaria Paste) wash is suitable (formula see Volume 3).
When children are erupting smallpox, mix dry rouge with honey and apply around the eye orbits to prevent smallpox toxin from entering the eyes. For eye diseases occurring within one hundred days after smallpox, do not use eye drops containing Borneolum Syntheticum (Pian) or Moschus (She).
If mistakenly used, Borneol and Musk will scatter the healthy Qi, endangering life. Instead, apply Tu Yun San (Cloud-Removing Powder) (formula provided earlier).
