One liang of *Jinyinhua* (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), one liang each of *Danggui* (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), *Renshen* (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), and *Baizhu* (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), two liang of *Huangqi* (Astragali Radix), three liang of *Yiren* (Coicis Semen), two qian of *Sheng Gancao* (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Recens), three qian of *Baijiezi* (Sinapis Semen), and five fen each of *Chaihu* (Bupleuri Radix) and *Rougui* (Cinnamomi Cortex). First, decoct the *Yiren* in four bowls of water until two bowls remain. Then add the remaining herbs and decoct until half a bowl remains. Take one dose when hungry. Subsequently, use one liang of *Jinyinhua*, five qian of *Danggui*, one liang each of *Huangqi* and *Yiren*, five qian of *Baizhu*, two qian each of *Sheng Gancao* and *Baijiezi*, and five fen of *Chenpi* (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium). Decoct these in three bowls of water until half a bowl remains, and take in four doses for complete recovery. During the medication period, it is also necessary to wash the affected area with a medicinal solution: decoct one liang of *Jinyinhua*, three qian of *Sheng Gancao*, and three stalks of *Sheng Cong* (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus) in water to make two bowls.
If green veins appear vertically above the Shangen (root of the nose), it indicates Liver Heat (Gan Re). Use three fen of *Chaihu*, one qian of *Baishao* (Paeoniae Radix Alba), five fen of *Danggui*, three fen of *Banxia* (Pinelliae Rhizoma), five fen of *Baizhu*, one qian of *Fuling* (Poria), three seeds of *Shanzha* (Crataegi Fructus), and one fen of *Gancao* (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma). Decoct in water and take orally. If green veins appear horizontally, it is also due to Liver Heat; however, vertical appearance indicates wind pathogen moving upward, while horizontal indicates wind pathogen moving downward. Use the same formula as above, but add two fen of *Chaihu*, one qian of *Maiya* (Hordei Fructus Germinatus), and one fen of *Ganjiang* (Zingiberis Rhizoma). If red veins appear vertically, it indicates Heart Heat (Xin Re). Use the same formula, adding one fen of *Huanglian* (Coptidis Rhizoma), five fen of *Maidong* (Ophiopogonis Radix), removing *Banxia*, and adding three fen of *Sangbaipi* (Mori Cortex) and two fen of *Tianhuafen* (Trichosanthis Radix). If red veins appear obliquely, it is also Heart Heat. Use the same formula, adding two fen of *Huanglian*. This is because heat is extreme in the chest and middle jiao; therefore, *Banxia* should not be used. Instead, use *Sangbaipi* and *Tianhuafen*. If yellow veins appear on the Shangen, regardless of whether they are horizontal or vertical, it generally pertains to Spleen and Stomach disorders. Symptoms may include watery diarrhea, vomiting, lower diarrhea, abdominal pain, or loss of appetite. The formula I have established can be taken in all such cases, yielding miraculous effects. For example, jaundice corresponds to yellow veins. The formula consists of five fen each of *Baizhu* and *Fuling*, two fen each of *Chenpi* and *Renshen*, one fen each of *Shenqu* (Medicated Leaven) and *Maiya*, and one fen of *Gancao*. Decoct in one zhong of water until half a wine cup remains, and divide into two doses. Add seven leaves of *Dan Zhuyexie* (Lophatheri Herba). If there is phlegm, add one fen of *Banxia*, or two fen of *Baijiezi*, or two fen of *Tianhuafen*. If there is heat, indicated by thirst, add three fen of *Maidong* and one fen of *Huangqin* (Scutellariae Radix). If there is cold, add one fen of *Ganjiang*. For vomiting, add one cardamom seed (*Baidoukou*, Amomi Fructus Rotundus). For diarrhea, add five fen of *Zhuling* (Polyporus). For abdominal pain, if the child holds their abdomen and cries out in pain upon pressure, it is food stagnation (Shi Ji); add three fen of *Dahuang* (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) and one fen of *Zhishi* (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus). If there is no pain upon pressure and no crying, it is cold; add an additional three fen of *Ganjiang*. If the body is hot, this formula should not be used; I have established another formula separately.
Wanquan Tang (Ten Thousand Complete Decoction): For any pediatric fever, whether occurring at night, morning, or evening, this formula yields miraculous results. It contains five fen of *Chaihu*, one qian of *Baishao*, five fen of *Danggui*, three fen of *Baizhu*, two fen of *Fuling*, one fen of *Gancao*, three seeds of *Shanzha*, three fen of *Huangqin*, one fen of *Suye* (Perillae Folium), one qian of *Maidong*, and three fen of *Shenqu*. Decoct in one zhong of water until half a wine cup remains, and take orally, or divide into two doses. In winter, add one fen of *Mahuang* (Ephedrae Herba); in summer, add three fen of *Shigao* (Gypsum Fibrosum); in spring, add three fen of *Qinghao* (Artemisiae Annuae Herba); in autumn, add three fen of *Jiegeng* (Platycodonis Radix). For food stagnation, add three fen of *Zhiqiao* (Aurantii Fructus); for phlegm, add three fen of *Baijiezi*; for diarrhea, add one qian of *Zhuling*; for vomiting, add one cardamom seed. Pediatric conditions generally fall into these categories; one must never treat them as convulsive diseases (Jing Feng). If there is fright, add five fen of *Renshen* to this formula to settle the spirit miraculously. For malnutrition syndromes (Gan Ji), use a Spleen and Stomach regulating formula and add three fen each of *Puhuang* (Typhae Pollen) and *Huangqin*.
