，岂能一朝成。必须培植终岁经年，自然春意渐回，萌芽可达渐渐扶苏，而不可性急也。饮
食更须得时。治之难从来眉 ，切勿心急，以期奏功之速。前症十人只可逃一二，此治法非
尽能救之也，但舍此再无治法，余悯世人，故立此方。倘肯听吾言，断绝色欲，口淡滋味，
心戒贪嗔，自然服药有功。否则只可苟延岁月而已，不可不告戒也。

Huazhenren selects: For people suffering from sores and scabies, use 4 liang of Sophora flavescens root (Ku Shen), 1 liang of raw licorice root (Sheng Gan Cao), 1 liang of honeysuckle flower (Jin Yin Hua), 8 liang of Xanthium herb (Cang Er Cao), and 1 liang of Schizonepeta spike (Jing Jie). Take once a day.
Mao Ri Xingjun says: Excellent. For people with sweaty hands, use 1 liang of Scutellaria baicalensis root (Huang Qin), 1 liang of Kudzu root (Ge Gen), 3 qian of Schizonepeta spike (Jing Jie), and 3 qian of Saposhnikovia root (Fang Feng). Decoct in water to make one dose of soup.
There is also a magical wash prescription for scaly head (Lai Tou): use 30 snails, add three bowls of water, decoct the soup, and wash the affected area. Recovery occurs after two applications; this is indeed a miraculous formula.
Lu Zu selects: When fire stagnates in the chest and cannot disperse, it must be vented externally. This formula specifically disperses fire within the Liver Wood meridian, thereby dispersing fire in all meridians.
Mao Ri Xingjun says: Extremely excellent! I also have a formula that is highly effective for treating herpes zoster (Huo Dan). Use 1 liang of Luffa seed (Si Gua Zi), 1 qian of Bupleurum root (Chai Hu), 1 liang of Scrophularia root (Yuan Shen), and 1 qian of Cimicifuga rhizome (Sheng Ma)... [text cuts off].
Lu Zu selects and modifies. If the disease has entered the deep tissues (Gao Huang), or penetrated the bone marrow, or reached the brain, such conditions cannot be cured overnight. Evening pill formula: Use one placenta (Zi He Che), 2 liang of deer antler gel (Lu Jiao Jiao), 3 liang of tortoise shell gel (Gui Jiao), 3 liang of Scrophularia root (Yuan Shen), 8 liang of prepared Rehmannia root (Shu Di), 4 liang of Cornus fruit (Shan Zhu Yu), 5 liang of Cortex Lycii (Di Gu Pi), 1 liang of Codonopsis root (Ren Shen - *Note: usually Ren Shen is Ginseng, but context implies tonification*), 5 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala rhizome (Bai Zhu), 5 liang of White Peony Root (Bai Shao), 3 liang of fried Ziziphus seed (Chao Zao Ren), 3 liang of Goji berry (Gou Qi Zi), 3 liang of Ophiopogon tuber (Mai Dong), soaked in two bowls of human milk then dried (for Shu Di), and 5 qian of Amomum fruit (Sha Ren). Grind all into powder. Take 5 qian with plain boiling water at midnight daily. Those with strong constitutions may double the dosage. This... It is like flowers and trees being severely damaged; how can lush branches and leaves appear overnight? One must cultivate them throughout the year and years. Naturally, spring energy will gradually return, sprouts will reach out, and vitality will slowly recover. Do not be impatient. Diet must also be timely. Treatment is difficult and urgent; do not rush for quick results. Only one or two out of ten patients with previous symptoms can escape death; this method cannot save everyone, but there is no other treatment. Pitying the world, I established this formula. If you listen to my words, cut off sexual desires, eat bland food, guard against greed and anger, then the medicine will surely work. Otherwise, you can only prolong your life temporarily. This warning must not be ignored.
Huazhenren says: Excellent. Buddha’s divine technique, this condition is indeed hard to cure quickly. Lu Xian selected this stable formula which contains profound principles. I also select a formula that is extremely mild... 3 liang of Poria (Fu Ling), 8 liang of Lotus seeds (Lian Zi), and 8 liang of white sugar. Grind all into powder. Take 1 liang mixed with plain boiling water daily. If you do not wish to mix it, form pills like tangyuan and take them with water. Take one pill in the morning and evening as an adjunct.
Guo Lao Da Xian also selects a modified formula: 1 jin of Euryale seed (Qian Shi), 2 jin of Chinese yam (Shan Yao), 8 liang of black sesame seeds (Hei Zhi Ma), 3 jin of small yellow millet (Xiao Huang Mi, stir-fried), 1 jin of Coix seed (Yi Yi Ren)... Essence. People... What heat is there?
