董大仙治疗痘疹的方法：现在的人看诊痘疹，如果不了解法则是很困难的。在痘疹初起时，不论患者体质强弱，以补益气血为关键，再加上发散表邪的药物。
第一日方：如果见到小儿身体发热，眼睛像喝醉了一样（眼神迷离、红肿），这就是适用此方的指征。如果不是这种“醉眼”症状，不可使用此方。这是针对外感邪气进行治疗的，见到上述症状应紧急投药，先煎煮药物，以求快速痊愈。
第二日方：白术二钱，麦冬三钱，甘草一钱，桔梗二钱，当归五钱，玄参三钱，生地五钱。
第三日方：人参五分，白芍三钱，白术三钱，茯苓三钱，玄参二钱，神曲三分，丹皮一钱。
第四日方：人参一钱，当归二钱，熟地五钱，茯苓三钱，金银花三钱，陈皮五分，甘草一钱。
第五方：人参一钱，茯苓三钱，白术二钱，甘草一钱。如果有饮食积滞的情况，可加麦芽五分，山楂五粒；如果没有伤食，则不加。
华真人传授的治疗坏症（痘疹逆证）的方子：治疗痘色发黑的，旁人认为没救了，但服药后喉头即活。用人参三钱，陈皮一钱，蝉蜕五分，玄参二钱，当归二钱，荆芥穗一钱。用水两盅，煎至八分，灌服后即可救活。大概坏症都是因为元气虚弱而火毒不能透发，用人参来补助元气，用玄参来清除浮游之火。陈皮用来祛痰开胃，使人参补而不滞。荆芥用来发散，引导火毒归元。当归用来生新血去旧瘀，消除滞气。蝉蜕用来去除毒斑。世人怎么能知道这个妙法呢？痘疹初起时不可服用，必须是出现坏症时才可以使用。

At the initial stage, regardless of whether the patient's constitution is strong or weak, the key lies in tonifying Qi and Blood, combined with herbs that release the exterior.
Formula for the First Day: If a child presents with fever and eyes that appear "drunk" (dull, red, and swollen), this is the indication for using this formula. If the "drunk eye" symptom is not present, this formula must not be used. This treats external pathogenic factors; upon seeing these symptoms, administer urgently, decoct first, to achieve a rapid recovery.
Formula for the Second Day: Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu) 2 qian, Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong) 3 qian, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) 1 qian, Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng) 2 qian, Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) 5 qian, Scrophulariae Radix (Yuanshen) 3 qian, Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdi) 5 qian.
Formula for the Third Day: Ginseng Radix (Renshen) 5 fen, Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao) 3 qian, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu) 3 qian, Poria (Fuling) 3 qian, Scrophulariae Radix (Yuanshen) 2 qian, Massa Medicata Fermentata (Shenqu) 3 fen, Moutan Cortex (Danpi) 1 qian.
Formula for the Fourth Day: Ginseng Radix (Renshen) 1 qian, Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) 2 qian, Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi) 5 qian, Poria (Fuling) 3 qian, Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Jinyinhua) 3 qian, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi) 5 fen, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) 1 qian.
Fifth Formula: Ginseng Radix (Renshen) 1 qian, Poria (Fuling) 3 qian, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu) 2 qian, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) 1 qian. If there is food stagnation, add Coici Semen Germinatum (Maiya) 5 fen and Crataegi Fructus (Shanzha) 5 pieces; if there is no food stagnation, do not add them.
Master Hua's Formula for Treating Adverse Cases (Huai Zheng): For treating blackened pustules, which others may deem hopeless, administration will revive the patient immediately. Use Ginseng Radix (Renshen) 3 qian, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi) 1 qian, Bombyx Batryticatus (Chantui) 5 fen, Scrophulariae Radix (Yuanshen) 2 qian, Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) 2 qian, Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie Sui) 1 qian. Decoct two zhong of water until reduced to eight fen, and administer by force-feeding to revive the patient. Generally, adverse cases are caused by deficiency of Yuan Qi, preventing the fire-toxin from erupting. Ginseng is used to assist Yuan Qi, and Scrophularia is used to clear floating fire. Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium resolves phlegm and opens the stomach, ensuring Ginseng does not cause stagnation. Schizonepeta disperses pathogens and guides fire back to its source. Angelica generates new blood and removes old stasis, eliminating stagnant Qi. Bombyx removes toxic macules. How can common people know this wonderful method? It must not be taken during the initial stage; it is only suitable for adverse cases.
