多生于膝上或臂间，状如人面，眼、鼻、口俱全，此为冤业所致。内服十六味流气饮、苦参丸
，外用贝母末敷之，次用生肌散。
疮溃从中翻出 肉如蛇头状，大小不一，证由肝经血燥所致。宜内服清肝养血之药，次八珍
汤、十全大补汤加麦冬、五味之类。
人身忽然变赤如丹，乃血热肌虚。风邪所搏而成。宜防风通圣散之类治之。
主方 （一切丹毒）薄荷 连翘 郁金 黄芩 黄连 栀子 大黄 甘草 糯米（各等分）
为末，每服三钱，蜜汤调服。
敷方 （丹毒痛甚） 车前草 益母草 地胆草 共捣烂，涂患处。
又方 赤小豆（研末） 羊角（烧灰）上研匀，鸡子清调敷。
又方 治丹毒。大蒜捣如泥，浓涂患处，干即易。
又单方 水苔 慎火草 浮萍 豆叶 生地黄 随取一味，捣敷患处。
灶心土 靛青 大黄 蚯蚓泥 随取一味研末，鸡子清调涂。
此疮乃湿热邪毒所成。或共处者患此传染；或同饮食、坑厕、圊桶；或于淫室熏惹秽气；
或患下疳、便毒而起。治当察其表里虚实，先须发散表邪，如防风通圣散、加减败毒散。湿热，
羌活苍术汤；次清里热，内疏黄连汤之类，随证连服数帖。大势略缓，次服主方解毒，次调和气
血。最不宜妄求速效，误服轻粉、粉霜之药，反收热毒，沉凝骨髓，日久毒发，头面周身溃烂不
已，痛苦万状，悔之不及，致成终身痼疾。初患者，后有羊酒方可用。

刺蝉蜕 僵蚕 黄柏 白蒺藜 甘草（各四两） 土茯苓（三斤） 痛加羌活、独活。虚加
人参、茯苓，去栀子。
上锉，作五十帖，每日二帖，水煎服。忌牛肉、烧酒，盐，煎炒，食之生癣。
又方（治一切杨梅疮，不俱始终虚实） 金银花 黄连 连翘（各一钱） 当归 生地 防
风木通 薏苡（各八分） 白藓皮 白术 皂角刺（各七分） 甘草（四分）
上剂加灯心二十枚，用仙遗粮（二两，即土茯苓），石 捶碎，煎汁二碗，入众药煎服。土茯苓二汁，再煎众
药渣服。
茯苓饼 （远近顽癣，搔烂不痊，并治）
防风 人参 五加皮 白藓皮 当归 丁皮（久无真者，丁香代之） 木瓜 皂角刺 海桐皮 川芎 金银
花甘草 乳香（出汗，研） 没药（出汗，研。各一钱）
上为末，对和面作饼，蒸熟拌乳香、没药末，嚼食，白汤送下。
西圣复煎丸 治疮后肿块，经年破烂，诸药不愈。
乳香 孩儿茶 没药 丁香（各一两） 阿魏 白花蛇 血竭（各四钱，各为末） 白面（
一斤，炒熟） 蜂蜜（六两，炼熟） 香油（四两，煎熟） 枣（水煮干，去皮核）
上为一处，捣千余下，丸如弹大。每服二丸，土茯苓煎汁化服，一日三次。
拔毒糕 土茯苓（去皮为末，一斤） 白蜜（一斤） 糯米粉（一升）
上和匀，蒸糕，食土茯苓汁送下，忌饮茶汤。
羊酒方 治杨梅疮，初觉即宜服此。
大黄 麻黄（天热减半） 蝉蜕（各一两） 羊肉（斤许，煮汁，三饭碗听用。）
同好酒三碗，煎药至三碗，先以羊肉同饭吃完，次服药汁完，浓盖卧，头至足出大汗，欲泻
至空地，连解连移，勿令气复入肛门，内外毒尽出，无后患。
玉脂膏 治杨梅疮。愈后发鹅掌风，手上白皮层起。
牛油 香油 油 黄蜡（各五钱，同熬化，待冷） 银珠（五钱） 官粉（一钱） 麝香（
二分，同研） 油药和匀，火拷掌热擦，再烘频擦。
又方 治杨梅疮，不论久近，及痈毒、鹅掌风，亦须内服解毒方。
灶心土（二钱） 水银（一钱） 枯矾（三分） 百草霜（一分） 白藓皮末（七分） 香油（少许）
上四味研至不见星，入藓，油和匀，无风处擦手足心。药完吃葱汤二碗，浓盖卧出汗，三日
一擦，三次愈。

上研细末，猪胆调搽，或掺膏药上贴，加冰片尤妙。
导水丸 治便毒、下疳 、杨梅毒、大小便闭、湿热为甚。

简便方 官粉（二钱） 豆腐（八两） 以官粉掺入腐，重汤煮食。

灸法 杨梅疮初发数个，逐个灸三、五壮，愈。隔蒜灸亦可。

主方（治疗一切丹毒）：薄荷、连翘、郁金、黄芩、黄连、栀子、大黄、甘草、糯米（各等分），研为细末，每次服用三钱，用蜜水调服。
敷方（丹毒疼痛剧烈时）：车前草、益母草、地胆草，共同捣烂，涂于患处。
又一方：赤小豆（研末）、羊角（烧成灰），两者研匀，用鸡蛋清调和敷贴。
又一方：治疗丹毒。大蒜捣成泥状，浓涂于患处，干了就更换。
又单方：水苔、慎火草、浮萍、豆叶、生地黄，任选一味，捣烂敷于患处。
灶心土、靛青、大黄、蚯蚓泥，任选一味研末，用鸡蛋清调和涂抹。
这种疮是由湿热邪毒所形成。或者与患者共处而被传染；或者共同饮食、共用厕所、便桶；或者在淫乱之室熏染秽气；或者患下疳、便毒而引发。治疗应当观察其表里虚实，首先必须发散表邪，如防风通圣散、加减败毒散。若有湿热，用羌活苍术汤；其次清除里热，用内疏黄连汤之类，随证连续服用数帖。大势稍微缓和后，接着服用主方解毒，然后调和气血。最不应该妄求速效，误服轻粉、粉霜等药物，反而收敛热毒，沉凝于骨髓，日久毒发，头面周身溃烂不止，痛苦万分，后悔莫及，导致成为终身顽疾。初患杨梅疮者，之后可用羊酒方。
主方：当归尾、川芎、赤芍、生地、升麻、葛根、黄芩（各一钱），黄连、金银花、黄柏、连翘（各八分），防风（八分），羌活、甘草（各五分），蝉蜕（二个），大黄（二钱）。以上药剂煎成，加入芒硝一钱服用。大便已通，减去芒硝、大黄。
又一方：防风、荆芥、连翘、白芷梢、地骨皮、当归尾、川芎（上部加倍使用）、木通（下部加倍使用）、黄芩、赤芍药、五加皮、黄芩、栀子、白鲜皮、金银花、木瓜、薏苡仁（下体多用）、苦参、皂角刺、蝉蜕、僵蚕、黄柏、白蒺藜、甘草（各四两），土茯苓（三斤）。痛甚加羌活、独活。虚证加人参、茯苓，去掉栀子。
以上切碎，制成五十帖，每日两帖，水煎服。忌食牛肉、烧酒、盐、煎炒食物，吃了会生癣。
又一方（治疗一切杨梅疮，不论始终虚实）：金银花、黄连、连翘（各一钱），当归、生地、防风、木通、薏苡仁（各八分），白鲜皮、白术、皂角刺（各七分），甘草（四分）。
以上药剂加灯心草二十枚，用仙遗粮（二两，即土茯苓），石头捶碎，煎汁两碗，加入众药煎服。土茯苓煎出的汁液，再用来煎煮众药的药渣服用。
茯苓饼（治疗远近顽癣，搔抓溃烂不愈，一并治疗）：防风、人参、五加皮、白鲜皮、当归、丁皮（长久没有真品，用丁香代替）、木瓜、皂角刺、海桐皮、川芎、金银花、甘草、乳香（出汗后研细）、没药（出汗后研细，各一钱）。
以上研为细末，和面做成饼，蒸熟拌入乳香、没药末，嚼食，用白开水送下。
西圣复煎丸：治疗疮后肿块，经年破烂，诸药不愈。
乳香、孩儿茶、没药、丁香（各一两），阿魏、白花蛇、血竭（各四钱，各为细末），白面（一斤，炒熟），蜂蜜（六两，炼熟），香油（四两，煎熟），枣（水煮干，去皮核）。
以上混合一处，捣千余下，制成如弹丸大小的丸子。每次服用两丸，用土茯苓煎汁化开服用，一日三次。
拔毒糕：土茯苓（去皮为末，一斤），白蜜（一斤），糯米粉（一升）。
以上混合均匀，蒸成糕，吃时用土茯苓汁送下，忌饮茶汤。
羊酒方：治疗杨梅疮，初觉症状即宜服用此方。
大黄、麻黄（天热减半量）、蝉蜕（各一两），羊肉（约一斤，煮汁，三饭碗备用）。
同好酒三碗，煎药至三碗，先以羊肉同饭吃完，接着服药汁完，严密覆盖卧床，从头到脚出大汗，想要排便就去空地，边解边移，不要让气重新进入肛门，内外毒素尽出，无后患。
玉脂膏：治疗杨梅疮。痊愈后发鹅掌风，手上白皮层层起。
牛油、香油、油、黄蜡（各五钱，一同熬化，待冷），银朱（五钱），官粉（一钱），麝香（二分，一同研细）。将油药混合均匀，用火烤手掌热擦，再烘烤频繁擦拭。
又一方：治疗杨梅疮，不论久近，以及痈毒、鹅掌风，也必须内服解毒方。
灶心土（二钱），水银（一钱），枯矾（三分），百草霜（一分），白鲜皮末（七分），香油（少许）。
以上四味研至不见星点，加入白鲜皮，用油调和，在无风处擦拭手足心。药用完吃葱汤二碗，严密覆盖卧床出汗，三日擦一次，三次痊愈。
点药：银朱、轻粉、杏仁、雄黄（各等分）。
以上研细末，用猪胆调搽，或掺入膏药上贴，加冰片尤其妙。
导水丸：治疗便毒、下疳、杨梅毒、大小便闭、湿热严重。
大黄（二两），黄芩（二两），黑丑（炒），滑石（研，各四两）。以上研为细末，用水泛丸或糊丸，每次服用二钱，临睡前汤药送下。
简便方：官粉（二钱），豆腐（八两）。将官粉掺入豆腐中，隔水煮熟食用。
又一方：土茯苓（新鲜白色者佳），石头捶碎煎汤，代替茶汤任意饮用。
灸法：杨梅疮初发数个，逐个灸三、五壮，可愈。隔蒜灸也可以。
It mostly occurs above the knees or in the arms, resembling a human face with complete eyes, nose, and mouth; this is caused by karmic retribution (karma). Internally administer Shiliuwei Liqi Yin (Sixteen-Ingredient Qi-Circulating Decoction) and Kushen Wan (Sophora Root Pill); externally apply Beimu powder (Fritillaria Powder) followed by Shengji San (Tissue-Regenerating Powder).
When the sore ulcerates and everts from the center, the flesh resembles a snake's head of varying sizes; this syndrome is caused by Liver meridian blood dryness. It is suitable to internally administer herbs that clear the Liver and nourish blood, followed by Bazhen Tang (Eight-Treasure Decoction) or Shiquan Dabu Tang (Ten Complete Great Tonifying Decoction) added with Maidong (Ophiopogon Tuber) and Wuweizi (Schisandra Fruit).
The body suddenly turns red like cinnabar due to blood heat and deficient muscle tissue, resulting from the combat of Wind pathogen. It should be treated with Fangfeng Tongsheng San (Saposhnikovia-Peppermint Detoxifying Powder) or similar formulas.
Main Formula (for all types of Erysipelas): Bohe (Mentha Haplocalyx), Lianqiao (Forsythia Fruit), Yujin (Curcuma Aromatica Rhizome), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Zhizi (Gardenia Fruit), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root), Gancao (Licorice Root), Nuomi (Glutinous Rice) (equal parts). Grind into fine powder, take 3 qian per dose, mixed with honey water.
External Application Formula (for severe pain in Erysipelas): Cheqiancao (Plantago Leaf), Yimumao (Motherwort Herb), Dizhancang (Ageratum Herb). Mash together and apply to the affected area.
Another Formula: Chixiaodou (Adzuki Bean, ground), Yangjiao (Sheep Horn, burnt to ash). Grind evenly, mix with egg white for application.
Another Formula: For Erysipelas. Crush garlic into paste, apply thickly to the affected area, replace when dry.
Another Single Herb Formula: Shuitai (Aquatic Moss), Shenhuocao (Houttuynia Cordata), Fuping (Duckweed), Douye (Bean Leaf), Shengdihuang (Rehmannia Root). Select any one herb, mash and apply to the affected area.
Zaoxintu (Calcined Stove Heart Earth), Dianqing (Indigo Naturalis), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root), Qiuyanni (Earthworm Mucus/Soil). Select any one, grind into powder, mix with egg white for application.
This sore is formed by damp-heat evil toxins. It may be transmitted through cohabitation; or through shared diet, toilets, or chamber pots; or by inhaling foul air in promiscuous chambers; or arising from Chancre (Chancre) or Biandu (Groin Abscess). Treatment must observe the exterior-interior and deficiency-excess patterns. First, disperse exterior pathogens, such as with Fangfeng Tongsheng San or Jiajian Baidu San (Modified Detoxifying Powder). If damp-heat is present, use Qianghuo Cangzhu Tang (Notopterygium and Atractylodes Decoction); next, clear interior heat, using Neishu Huanglian Tang (Internal-Draining Coptis Decoction) or similar, taken continuously for several doses according to the syndrome. When the major symptoms slightly subside, subsequently administer the Main Formula to detoxify, then harmonize Qi and Blood. It is most inadvisable to seek rapid effects and mistakenly ingest drugs containing Qingfen (Calomel) or Fenshuang (Sublimated Arsenic), which trap heat toxins deep in the bone marrow. Over time, toxins erupt, causing continuous ulceration of the head, face, and whole body, leading to extreme suffering and lifelong chronic disease. For initial cases of Meiyangchuang (Syphilis), the Yangjiu Fang (Mutton-Wine Prescription) can be used later.
Main Formula: Dangguiwei (Angelica Sinensis Tail), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome), Chishao (Red Peony Root), Shengdi (Rehmannia Root), Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome), Gegen (Pueraria Root), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root) (each 1 qian); Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Jinyinhua (Honeysuckle Flower), Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark), Lianqiao (Forsythia Fruit) (each 8 fen); Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root) (8 fen); Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome), Gancao (Licorice Root) (each 5 fen); Chantui (Cicada Slough) (2 pieces); Dahuang (Rhubarb Root) (2 qian). Decoct these ingredients, add Mangxiao (Mirabilite, 1 qian), and take. Once bowel movement is achieved, reduce or remove Mangxiao and Dahuang.
Another Formula: Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Jingjie (Schizonepeta Spike), Lianqiao (Forsythia Fruit), Baizhishao (Angelica Dahurica Tip), Digupi (Wolfberry Bark), Dangguiwei (Angelica Sinensis Tail), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) (double dose for upper body), Mutong (Akebia Stem) (double dose for lower body), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root), Chishao (Red Peony Root), Wujiaopi (Acanthopanacis Cortex), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root), Zhizi (Gardenia Fruit), Baixianpi (Dictamnus Bark), Jinyinhua (Honeysuckle Flower), Mugua (Chaenomeles Fruit), Yiyiren (Coix Seed) (more for lower body), Kushen (Sophora Root), Zaojiaoci (Gleditsia Spine), Chantui (Cicada Slough), Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark), Baijili (Tribulus Fruit), Gancao (Licorice Root) (each 4 liang), Tubaling (Smilax Glabra Rhizome) (3 jin). Add Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome) and Duhuo (Angelica Pubescens Root) for pain; add Renshen (Ginseng Root) and Fuling (Poria) for deficiency, remove Zhizi.
Process into decoction packets, make 50 doses, take 2 doses daily, decoct in water. Avoid beef, distilled liquor, salt, and fried foods, as they cause tinea.
Another Formula (for all Meiyangchuang, regardless of early/late or deficiency/excess): Jinyinhua (Honeysuckle Flower), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Lianqiao (Forsythia Fruit) (each 1 qian); Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Shengdi (Rehmannia Root), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Mutong (Akebia Stem), Yiyiren (Coix Seed) (each 8 fen); Baixianpi (Dictamnus Bark), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome), Zaojiaoci (Gleditsia Spine) (each 7 fen); Gancao (Licorice Root) (4 fen).
Add Dengxincao (Juncus Pith, 20 pieces) to the above. Use Xianyiliang (2 liang, i.e., Tubaling/Smilax Glabra Rhizome), crush with stone, decoct in two bowls of water, add other herbs and decoct. Take the Tubaling juice, then decoct the dregs of the other herbs again and take.
Fuling Bing (Poria Cake): For stubborn tinea anywhere on the body, scratching until ulcerated and unhealed. Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Wujiaopi (Acanthopanacis Cortex), Baixianpi (Dictamnus Bark), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Dingpi (Cloves, substitute for missing true Dingpi), Mugua (Chaenomeles Fruit), Zaojiaoci (Gleditsia Spine), Haitongpi (Erythrina Cortex), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome), Jinyinhua (Honeysuckle Flower), Gancao (Licorice Root), Ruxiang (Frankincense, sweat-dried and ground), Moyao (Myrrh, sweat-dried and ground) (each 1 qian).
Grind into powder, mix with flour to make cakes, steam until cooked, mix with Ruxiang and Moyao powder, chew and swallow with warm water.
Xisheng Fujian Wan (Western Sage Re-decocted Pill): For post-sore lumps, ulcerated for years, unresponsive to other medicines. Ruxiang (Frankincense), Haiercha (Child's Tea), Moyao (Myrrh), Dingxiang (Cloves) (each 1 liang); Awei (Asafoetida), Baihuashe (Bungarus Parvus), Xuexie (Dragon's Blood) (each 4 liang, ground separately); Baomian (Wheat Flour, stir-fried, 1 jin); Fengmi (Honey, refined, 6 liang); Xiangyou (Sesame Oil, boiled, 4 liang); Zao (Jujube, boiled dry, peeled and pitted).
Mix all, pound over a thousand times, form pills the size of marbles. Take 2 pills per dose, dissolve in Tubaling decoction, three times daily.
Badu Gao (Toxin-Extracting Cake): Tubaling (Smilax Glabra Rhizome, peeled and powdered, 1 jin), Baimit (White Honey, 1 jin), Nuomifen (Glutinous Rice Flour, 1 sheng).
Mix evenly, steam into cake, eat with Tubaling juice. Avoid tea and soup drinks.
Yangjiu Fang (Mutton-Wine Prescription): For Meiyangchuang, take immediately upon first sensation. Dahuang (Rhubarb Root), Mahuang (Ephedra Herb, half dose in hot weather), Chantui (Cicada Slough) (each 1 liang), Yangrou (Mutton, approx. 1 jin, boiled for broth, reserve 3 rice bowls).
With good wine (3 bowls), decoct medicine to 3 bowls. Finish eating mutton and rice first, then finish the medicine liquid. Cover tightly and lie down, sweating profusely from head to toe. Defecate in an open space, moving continuously, do not let Qi re-enter the anus. Internal and external toxins will be fully expelled without sequelae.
Yuzhi Gao (Jade Fat Ointment): For Meiyangchuang. After healing, if Eczema Manuum (Hand Eczema) develops with peeling white skin on hands. Niuyou (Beef Tallow), Xiangyou (Sesame Oil), You (Oil), Huangla (Yellow Beeswax) (each 5 qian, melt together, cool), Yinzhu (Silver Cinnabar, 5 qian), Guanfen (Lead White, 1 qian), Shexiang (Musk, 2 fen, grind together). Mix oil and medicine evenly, heat palm over fire and rub, re-heat and rub frequently.
Another Formula: For Meiyangchuang, regardless of duration, as well as carbuncles and Hand Eczema, internal detoxification formula is also required. Zaoxintu (Calcined Stove Heart Earth, 2 qian), Shuiyin (Mercury, 1 qian), Kufan (Alum, 3 fen), Baicaoshuang (Soot from Chimney, 1 fen), Baixianpi powder (Dictamnus Bark, 7 fen), Xiangyou (Sesame Oil, a little).
Grind the first four ingredients until no star-like particles are visible, add Baixianpi, mix with oil. Rub on palms and soles in a windless place. After finishing the medicine, drink two bowls of Scallion Soup, cover tightly to sweat. Rub once every three days, cure after three times.
Dian Yao (Pointing Medicine): Yinzhu (Silver Cinnabar), Qingfen (Calomel), Xingren (Apricot Seed), Xionghuang (Realgar) (equal parts).
Grind into fine powder, mix with Pig Gallbladder juice for application, or sprinkle onto plaster patches. Adding Bingpian (Borneol) is especially excellent.
Daoshui Wan (Water-Guiding Pill): For Biandu (Groin Abscess), Chancre, Syphilis toxin, constipation/dysuria, severe damp-heat. Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, 2 liang), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root, 2 liang), Heichou (Morning Glory Seed, stir-fried), Huashi (Talcum, ground) (each 4 liang). Grind into powder, make water pills or paste pills. Take 2 qian per dose, with warm water before bed.
Simple Prescription: Guanfen (Lead White, 2 qian), Tofu (Tofu, 8 liang). Sprinkle Guanfen into Tofu, boil in double boiler and eat.
Another Formula: Tubaling (Fresh and white is best), crush with stone, decoct in water, drink freely as tea substitute.
Moxibustion Method: For initial few outbreaks of Meiyangchuang, moxa each spot individually for 3-5 Zhu (cones), cured. Garlic-separated moxibustion is also acceptable.
