Abdominal pain in infants, with the waist bent, crying without tears, sweating on the forehead, closed mouth, cold feet, and dryness of the upper lip, are the signs of this condition.
Main Formula: Xylae Radix (Wuyao), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Paeoniae Radix (Shaoyao), Evodiae Fructus (Wuzhuyu), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi), Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu), Foeniculi Fructus (Huixiang) (equal parts), add three slices of Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang), decoct in water and take orally.
If pain is severe, add Corydalis Rhizoma (Yanhusuo), Boswelliae Resina (Ruxiang), and Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang) (grind into fine powder and mix for oral administration); or use Boswelliae Resina (Ruxiang), Myrrhae Resina (Moyao), and Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang) ground into fine powder and mixed for oral administration.
Infants have tender and weak Qi and Blood, and their skin and pores (Couli) are not dense. If clothing and bedding are too thick, it generates heat in the Zang-Fu organs. The Heart is overcome by pathogenic heat, causing Jin-Ye (body fluids) to fail to be stored internally, steaming out through the body surface and manifesting as sweating. Alternatively, injury from cold or heat leads to disharmony of Yin and Yang, causing Jin-Ye to leak externally; or there is spontaneous sweating after various illnesses. It is appropriate to nourish Heart Qi and consolidate the Couli. If sweating extends from the head down to the neck, it is called "Six-Yang Deficient Sweating" and does not require treatment.
Main Formula: Huang [Note: Original text incomplete, likely Huangqi or Huangqin], Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdihuang), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Ziziphi Spinosae Semen (Suanzaoren) (stir-fried), Ostreae Concha (Muli), Poria (Fushen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (roasted), add Junci Medulla (Dengxin), decoct in water; mix with Cinnabaris (Zhusha) prepared by water-trituration, and take before sleep.
Another Formula (for treating deficient sweating): Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Huang [same as above], decoct in water and take orally.
Another Formula (for night-time generalized sweating): Gentianae Radix (Longdancao) ground into fine powder, formed into pills the size of Toona seeds using vinegar paste, take seven pills each time, dissolved and taken with rice soup.
Another Formula (for deficient sweating): Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Ostreae Concha (Muli), Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus (Beimu) (each 1 liang, ground into fine powder), half a sheng of Rice Flour (Mifen), mixed evenly, placed in a silk bag, and applied/patted onto areas where sweating occurs.
Additionally, burn a palm-leaf fan to ash and apply/pat it.
Additionally, decoct Triticum Aestivum Fructus Immaturus (Fumai) or Sojae Semen Nigrum (Heidou) and drink the liquid.
This is due to Cold in the Bladder, which fails to control water (urine). Bed-wetting indicates that both the Bladder and Kidney are Cold. Night belongs to Yin, so urine flows out spontaneously.
