Taiping Yun (Peaceful Era): The method for calculating the Taiping Yun (Era of Great Peace) is as follows: In years where the Five Movements are excessive, observe according to the aforementioned methods beside the primary position of the movement. If five-colored cloud formations resembling the wings of a rainbow with "ears" appear, and similar "ear" formations appear beside the sun, and these movements persist without dissipating for a long time after passing, their appearance indicates thirty years of peace.
Shengping Yun (Prosperous Era): The method for calculating the Shengping Yun (Era of Rising Peace) refers to the movement where the imperial house receives the support of royal qi. If it is Fire Movement, it displays Fire color; if Water Movement, it displays Water color. Each follows the color of the primary movement in years of excess, appearing beside like a rainbow. When these persist without dissipating for a long time, their appearance signifies that the people are content with their work and livelihood, and the Emperor's way prospers. Its momentum is slightly less than that of the Taiping Yun.
Tianbing Yun (Heavenly Military): The method for calculating the Tianbing Yun (Era of Heavenly War) applies to the Five Movements regardless of whether they are excessive or deficient. After the movement passes, white qi appears like white silk, followed by clouds adhering to it. The shape of these clouds resembles wild wolves or tigers. Their appearance at this time predicts major military conflicts in the following year.
Tiankang Yun (Heavenly Drought): The method for calculating the Tiankang Yun (Era of Severe Drought) occurs in years of Excessive Metal Movement, or in years where Wood is deficient and Metal overcomes it, or in years where Metal Movement meets the Heaven-Fu (Heavenly Symbol). These do not depart from Dryness transformation and Metal overcoming. They also frequently appear in years where Earth fails to overcome. After the movement passes, white qi scatters and turns red; the appearance of intermixed red and white qi predicts severe drought.
Tianze Yun (Heavenly Floods): The method for calculating the Tianze Yun (Era of Heavenly Floods) is mostly seen in years of Excessive Earth Movement, or when Water is deficient and Earth overcomes it, or when Earth Movement coincides with the Heaven-Fu year. In years of Excessive Earth Movement, yellow qi appears. In years overcoming Water, green-black qi appears amidst yellow and black. If the qi is fine like hair or horse tails, its appearance indicates disasters of water flooding.
Qiangqiang Yun (Rebellion): The method for calculating the Qiangqiang Yun (Era of Rebellion) involves taking the movement where the imperial house receives royal qi within the Five Movements. After this movement passes, distinct white qi invades the movement position. Within the white qi, there are small red spots like fire stars, followed by adhering clouds shaped like snakes or insects. This predicts acts of disloyalty or rebellion.
Mingjun Yun (Wise Ruler): The method for calculating the Mingjun Yun (Era of Wise Rulers) is observed when the primary movement of the imperial house is excessive. The movement appears large and bright, accompanied by purple qi on the sides. Alternatively, it may resemble a purple canopy, a purple human figure, or a five-colored dragon. Seeing these indicates the prosperity of the Emperor's rule.
Shengren Yun (Sage): The method for calculating the Shengren Yun (Era of Sages) states that Sages are produced by Heaven and Earth, one born every thousand years. In years of Taiyi Tianfu (Supreme One-Heaven Symbol), Tianfu (Heaven-Symbol), or when the movement harmonizes with Heaven, red qi shines across the sky, and the atmosphere becomes radiant. Consequently, Sages are born within mountain rocks and valley caves.
Xianren Yun (Virtuous Man): The method for calculating the Xianren Yun (Era of Virtuous Men) states that Virtuous Men are born every five hundred years, not directly produced by Heaven and Earth. In years of Tianfu (Heaven-Symbol) or when the Heavenly Movement smoothly descends, after the movement passes, depending on the regional division, white qi rushes up to the Milky Way. This qi is clear and pure; below such qi, many Virtuous Men are born.
Tianhuang Yun (Locust Plague): The method for calculating the Tianhuang Yun (Era of Locust Plagues) applies to movements where Heavenly Movements punish each other, not in years of mutual generation, nor simultaneously excessive and deficient. Within the movement, yellow blocks appear. If the block does not scatter, locusts appear but cause no disaster. If the block scatters like broken stars spreading everywhere, the quantity is very large, and the scattered areas correspond to specific regional divisions.
Jihuang Yun (Famine): The method for calculating the Jihuang Yun (Era of Famine) involves movements where the Five Movements punish and overcome each other. After the movement passes, clouds appear, either yellow or black, obscuring the movement. These clouds resemble spirits and ghosts, geese and ducks, or overturned boats. Their appearance all predicts crop failure and famine.
Tianyi Yun (Heavenly Epidemic): The method for calculating the Tianyi Yun (Era of Heavenly Epidemics) exists in all movements. When the qi arrives, the movement may not be visible, but the qi comes immediately. Minor disasters manifest as plague with dominant yellow qi. Major disasters show purple-red halos resembling rings within the yellow qi, varying in size. Scattered like small electric eels wriggling curiously, with purple and red intermixed in the yellow qi, seeing this results in half the population dying.
Fengdeng Yun (Abundant Harvest): The method for calculating the Fengdeng Yun (Era of Abundant Harvest) is found in deficient movements where the qi is faint yet deep, and the overcoming qi does not merge. Or in excessive movements where all five colors are interspersed with yellow qi. After the qi passes, clouds appear resembling humans, phoenixes, or cranes. Their appearance all predicts abundant harvests.
Jiaxiang Yun (Auspicious Omen): The method for calculating the Jiaxiang Yun (Era of Auspicious Omens) occurs in both excessive and deficient movements. Outside the primary movement, purple or red qi appears, resembling lingzhi mushrooms or mountains with trees. Seeing this also indicates peace, national prosperity, content people, and abundant harvests.
Zhenyung Yun (True Destiny): The method for calculating the Zhenyung Yun (Era of True Destiny) predicts the emergence of a sage and wise ruler, corresponding to the future Son of Heaven. This movement is seen in excessive movements, with uncertain colors: Wood corresponds to Wood, Fire to Fire, etc. The color seen is large, with subordinate colors on left and right being identical. Several small qi trails follow. Each trail of qi represents one Emperor, meaning the small qi represents the qi of descendants.
