中毒
觉腹中不快，即以生豆腐试之，入口不闻腥气，此中毒也。急以升麻煎浓连饮，以手抠
吐即愈。（各部俱载）
蛊毒
先取炙甘草一寸，嚼之咽沫，若中毒即吐出，仍以炙甘草三两，生姜四两，水六升煮二
升，日三服。若含甘草而不吐者，非毒也。（《微今铎）
蛊毒
昔李熹为雷州推官，得治蛊方。毒在上，用升麻吐之；毒在腹，用郁金下之。或合二味
服之，不吐则泻，活人甚多。（《范石湖文集》）
解相反药毒
蚕退纸（即出过蚕之纸） 烧灰细研一钱，冷水调下，频服，效。
解百药毒（服药过多生出毒病，头肿如斗，唇流血，或心口饱闷，或脐腹撮痛者）
黑小豆（即马料豆）、绿豆各半升，煮汁服，并食豆宽，愈。 附子、川乌、天雄、斑
蝥毒，单以马料豆煎汁服；皂矾毒，急取面糊一钵服之。《单方总集》
砒霜毒
绿豆粉（细筛）四两，黄泥（筛）四两，生鸡清九个，共一处以浸豆水和服即解。若有
黑羊血再吞更妙。凡服砒人，不可仰卧，恐毒流四肢难治。愈后，烟、酒、姜、椒、煎、炒
须忌百日。（《愿体集》）
解信毒
速取梁上燕子窠，用井水三、四大碗放水桶内，将手多搅调之，用夏布手巾如柞腐法，
筛去泥叶，取所搅之水连灌二、三碗，自吐。不吐再灌，吐尽方醒。（单方）
断肠草毒
鸡抱卵劈开，以清油调匀灌之；或服生鸡蛋三、四枚；或服热羊血碗许，总宜吐尽方醒。

犬马肉毒
杏仁去皮粒四两，碎，以百沸汤和仁绞汁，作二、三服吃。或急吃冷粥一碗，顷刻毒解

菌子并河豚毒
多服金汁即解；如难得，于地上挖一潭，用水和泥，稍定，服水一、二碗即解。或服紫
金锭更妙。（《钱氏抄方》）
烧酒毒（火烧闷绝或受烟煤毒）
用白萝卜汁或热尿灌俱效。（《愿体集》）
误食蚂蝗
嗜芹菜者多此疾，空心食地浆水少许即下。（同上）

羊胫灰煮粥食之，神效。（《本草》）
吞针
虾蟆眼一只，木通汤吞下，其针即穿于眼内从大便而出。
小儿吞针
将半生半熟出芽蚕豆捣烂，用韭汁为丸吞下。（秘方）

中毒

先取一尺长的炙甘草，咀嚼后咽下其唾液，如果中毒就会吐出，仍用炙甘草三两、生姜四两，加水六升煮至二升，每日分三次服用。如果含着甘草而不吐出的，就不是中毒。（《微今铎》）

解相反药毒
蚕退纸（即蚕吐丝结茧后留下的纸），烧成灰并细细研磨成一钱，用冷水调服，频繁服用，有效。
解百药毒（服药过多产生毒病，头部肿胀如斗大，嘴唇流血，或者心口饱闷，或者肚脐腹部拘急疼痛者）
黑小豆（即马料豆）、绿豆各半升，煮汁服用，并吃些豆子以宽中，即可痊愈。附子、川乌、天雄、斑蝥中毒，单用马料豆煎汁服用；皂矾中毒，紧急取面糊一钵服用。《单方总集》
砒霜毒
绿豆粉（细筛过）四两，黄泥（筛过）四两，生鸡蛋清九个，混合在一起，用浸豆水调和服用即可解毒。如果有黑羊血再吞下更妙。凡是服用砒霜的人，不可仰卧，恐怕毒气流窜到四肢难以治疗。痊愈后，烟、酒、姜、花椒、煎炸、炒制的食物必须忌口一百天。（《愿体集》）
解信毒（指含砷毒药）
迅速取屋檐下的燕子窝，用三到四大碗井水放入水桶内，用手多搅拌调和，用夏布手巾像榨腐乳那样过滤掉泥土和叶子，取搅拌后的水连续灌服二到三碗，自然会呕吐。如果不吐再灌，吐尽后才会苏醒。（单方）
断肠草毒
将正在孵蛋的鸡劈开，用香油调匀灌服；或者服用生鸡蛋三到四个；或者服用约一碗热羊血，总之要吐尽后才苏醒。
铅粉毒
妇女堕胎，服用铅粉不仅无效，往往导致想死不能、求生不得，而且生下的孩子多痴呆，身体发疮毒。有人误服的，紧急捣烂萝卜汁饮用即可解毒。（《秘方集验》）
开口椒毒（指食用过量辣椒或刺激性强的椒类）
呕吐白沫、身体冰冷几乎断气的，饮用地浆水即可解毒。（金匮方）
野蕈毒（野生蘑菇中毒）
饮用地浆水三到四碗。地浆能解百毒，真是神方。（《单方全集》）
牛肉毒
乌桕树根皮用酒煎煮，配合热酒服用。或者将菊花连根捣汁，用酒送服。（同上）
犬马肉毒
杏仁去皮取仁四两，捣碎，用滚开水调和杏仁绞取汁液，分两到三次服用。或者紧急吃一碗冷粥，片刻间毒解思食。（《单方全集》）
菌子并河豚毒

Poisoning
If one feels discomfort in the abdomen, immediately test with raw tofu. If there is no fishy smell upon entering the mouth, this indicates poisoning. Immediately decoct Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae) into a thick liquid and drink it continuously. Inducing vomiting by stimulating the throat with fingers will lead to recovery. Gu Poison (Guzhong)
First, take one chi of length of Zhi Gancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root), chew it and swallow the saliva. If poisoned, one will vomit. Then, use three liang of Zhi Gancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root) and four liang of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger), add six sheng of water, and boil down to two sheng. Take orally three times a day. If holding the Gancao does not induce vomiting, it is not poison. (*Wei Jin Duo*)
Gu Poison (Guzhong)
In the past, Li Xi, while serving as the Tui Guan (Judicial Officer) of Leizhou, obtained a prescription for treating Gu poison. If the toxin is located in the upper body, use Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae) to induce vomiting; if the toxin is in the abdomen, use Yujin (Radix Curcumae) to promote purgation. Alternatively, taking both herbs together will result in either vomiting or diarrhea, saving many lives. (*Fan Shihu Wenji*)
Resolving Toxicity from Incompatible Herbs
Can tui zhi (Paper left after silkworms spin cocoons), burn to ash, grind finely to one qian, mix with cold water and take. Frequent administration is effective.
Resolving Polypharmacy Toxicity (Toxic illness caused by excessive medication, characterized by head swelling like a dou, bleeding lips, chest fullness/stuffiness, or cramping pain around the umbilicus and abdomen)
Hei Xiaodou (Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis, also known as Ma Liaodou) and Lv Dou (Vigna radiata), each half sheng. Decoct and take the juice, and consume the beans to soothe the middle jiao. Recovery ensues. For Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata), Chuanwu (Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii), Tianxiong (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata), and Banmao (Mylabris) toxicity, decoct Ma Liaodou alone and take the juice. For Zaofan (Melanterite) toxicity, urgently take one bowl of flour paste. (*Danfang Zongji*)
Arsenic Trioxide (Pishuang) Toxicity
Lv Dou Fen (Green Bean Powder, sifted finely) four liang, Huangni (Yellow Mud, sifted) four liang, and nine fresh egg whites. Mix together, dilute with bean-soaking water, and take orally to resolve toxicity. If Black Sheep Blood is swallowed additionally, it is even better. Anyone who has taken arsenic must not lie supine, lest the toxin spread to the four limbs and become difficult to treat. After recovery, tobacco, alcohol, ginger, Sichuan pepper, fried, and stir-fried foods must be avoided for one hundred days. (*Yuan Ti Ji*)
Resolving Arsenic Poisoning
Quickly collect swallows' nests from the eaves. Place three or four large bowls of well water in a bucket. Stir vigorously with hands. Filter the mixture through a linen cloth using a method similar to pressing fermented bean curd, removing mud and leaves. Take the stirred water and force-feed two or three bowls. Vomiting will occur naturally. If vomiting does not occur, continue feeding. Once vomiting is complete, consciousness will return. (Single Prescription)
Duan Chang Cao (Strychnos nux-vomica or similar toxic vine) Toxicity
Split open a hen that is brooding eggs. Mix with refined sesame oil and administer orally. Alternatively, take three or four raw eggs. Or drink about one bowl of hot sheep blood. The key is to ensure complete vomiting before regaining consciousness.
Lead White (Qianfen) Toxicity
When used by women for abortion, it is ineffective and often leads to a state of wanting to die but unable to, or wanting to live but unable to. Moreover, children born may suffer from dementia and skin sores/toxins. In cases of accidental ingestion, urgently crush fresh radish and drink the juice to resolve toxicity. (*Mifang Jiyuan*)
Kaikou Jiao (Excessive consumption of pungent peppers) Toxicity
For symptoms of vomiting white foam, cold body, and near-death state, drinking Di Jiang Shui (Earth Slurry Water) resolves the toxicity. (*Jingui Fang*)
Wild Mushroom Toxicity
Drink three to four bowls of Di Jiang Shui (Earth Slurry Water). Di Jiang can resolve all toxins; it is truly a miraculous prescription. (*Danfang Quanji*)
Beef Toxicity
Decoct the bark of Wubai Tree (Phoebe zhennan) root in wine, and take with hot wine. Alternatively, crush chrysanthemum including roots, extract juice, and take with wine. (Ibid.)
Dog or Horse Meat Toxicity
Take four liang of Xing Ren (Apricot Seed), remove skins, crush them. Mix with boiling water, squeeze out the juice, and divide into two or three doses. Or urgently eat one bowl of cold porridge; within moments, the toxin dissipates and appetite returns. (*Danfang Quanji*)
Mushroom and Pufferfish Toxicity
Taking Jin Zhi (Golden Juice - fermented human feces supernatant) in large amounts resolves toxicity. If unavailable, dig a pit on the ground, mix soil with water, allow to settle slightly, and drink one or two bowls of the clarified water to resolve toxicity. Taking Zijin Ding (Purple Gold Pill) is even better. (*Qianshi Chaofang*)
Baijiu (Distilled Spirits) Toxicity (Suffocation due to fire/smoke or coal gas poisoning)
Administering fresh radish juice or hot urine is effective. (*Yuan Ti Ji*)
Accidental Ingestion of Leeches
Those who crave celery are prone to this condition. Eating a small amount of Di Jiang Shui (Earth Slurry Water) on an empty stomach expels the leech. (Ibid.)
Crab Toxicity
She Zhi (Oyster Juice), Suan Zhi (Garlic Juice), Donggua Zhi (Winter Melon Juice), Heidou Zhi (Black Soybean Juice), and Zisu Zhi (Perilla Juice) can all resolve toxicity. (Ibid.)
Poisonous Soft-shell Turtle
Drink several bowls of Lan Zhi (Indigo Juice) or clear water mixed with Landing (Indigo Pill).
Toxicity from Six Domestic Animals Dying Naturally
Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark) crushed into powder, mixed with water, take one qian. Or take two qian of Yellowtu (Yellow Earth from walls), mixed with water and taken orally. Or drink one bowl of human milk. (*Danfang Quanji*)
Eel Toxicity
Consuming eel while having ingested Jingjie (Schizonepeta) harms the person. Resolve with Di Jiang Shui (Earth Slurry Water). (*Jijian Fang*)
Baiguo (Ginkgo Nut) Toxicity
Shexiang (Musk), one fen, decoct in water and take.
Tofu Toxicity
Drinking Radish Soup resolves toxicity. (*Bencao*)
Coal Toxicity
Sudden fainting, which is fatal if not treated urgently. Immediately irrigate with freshly drawn clear water. (Yan Yao Fang)
Salt Brine Toxicity
Pour in raw tofu slurry. Then stimulate the throat several times with a goose feather to induce vomiting, leading to survival. (Ancient Prescription)
Toxicity from Dog, Horse, Pufferfish, Fish, and Crab (Symptoms: hardness under the heart or abdominal distension, thirst, sudden fever, delirious speech)
Decoct Lu Gen (Reed Rhizome) and take the juice. (Meishi Fang)
Accidental Ingestion of Tung Oil (Causes incessant vomiting)
Urgently drink hot wine to resolve toxicity. (*Mifang Jiyuan*)
Swallowing Copper Coins
Cook sheep shin bone ash into porridge and eat. Miraculous effect. (*Bencao*)
Swallowing Needles
One Toad eye, swallow with Mutong (Akebia Decoction). The needle will penetrate the eye and exit via the large intestine.
Child Swallowing Needles
Crush partially raw, partially cooked, sprouted broad beans. Form pills using Chinese Chive Juice and swallow. (Secret Recipe)
