葛氏，大人小儿，卒得恶疮，不可名识者。
烧竹叶，和鸡子中黄，涂，瘥。
又方，取蛇床子合黄连二两，末。粉疮上用者，猪脂和，涂，瘥。

又方，煮柳叶，若皮，洗之亦可，纳少盐，此又疗面上疮。

胡粉熬黑，黄柏，黄连，分等。下筛，粉之也。

苍耳，桃皮作屑，纳疮中，佳。

胡粉，水银，白松脂各二两。腊月猪膏四两，合松脂煎，以水银，胡粉合研，以涂上。
日再，胡洽云，疗小儿头面疮。又一方，加黄连二两，亦疗得秃疮。
恶疮雄黄膏方。
雄黄，雌黄，并末，水银各一两。松脂二两，猪脂半斤，乱发如鸡子大，以上合煎，去
滓。纳水银，敷疮，日再。
效方，恶疮食肉雄黄散。
雄黄六分， 茹，矾石各二分，末疮中，日二。
疗疮方，最去面上粉刺，方。
黄连八分，糯米，赤小豆各五分，吴茱萸一分。胡粉，水银各六分。捣黄连等。下筛，
先于掌中，研水银，使极细，和药使相入，以生麻油总稀稠得所，洗疮拭干，敷之。但是疮
即疗，神验不传。
甘家松脂膏，疗热疮，尢嗍脓。不痂无瘢方。
松脂，白胶香，薰陆香，各一两，当归，蜡各一两半。甘草一两，并切猪脂，羊肾脂各
半合许。生地黄汁亦半合，以松脂等末。纳脂膏，地黄汁中，微火煎令黄，下腊绞去滓。涂
布，贴疮，极有验，甘家秘不能传。此是半剂。
地黄膏，疗一切疮已溃者。及炙贴之无痂，生肉去脓神秘方。
地黄汁一升，松脂二两，薰陆香一两，羊肾脂及牛酥。各如鸡子大，先于地黄汁煎松脂
及香，令消。即纳羊脂酥，并更用蜡半鸡子大，一时相和。缓火煎，水尽膏成。去滓，涂帛
，贴疮，日一二易，加故绯一片，乱发一鸡子许大，疗年深者，十余日即瘥，生肉秘法。
妇人颊上疮，瘥后每年又发。甘家秘方涂之，永瘥。
黄矾石二两，烧令汁尽。胡粉一两，水银一两半。捣，筛，矾石，胡粉更筛，先以片许
猪脂，于瓷器内，熟研水银令消尽，更加猪脂，并矾石，胡粉，和使粘稠，洗面疮以涂上，
又
别熬胡粉，令黄，涂膏讫，则敷此粉，数日即瘥，甘家用大验。
疗 疮，但是腰脚已下名为 。此皆有虫食之，虫死即瘥，此方立验。
醋泔淀一碗，大麻子一盏，白沙盐末各一抄，和掩以敷疮。干更敷，先温泔净洗，拭干
，敷一二度，即瘥。孔如针穴，皆虫食，大验。
效方，恶疮三十年不愈者。
大黄，黄芩，黄连各一两，为散，洗疮净，以粉之。日三，无不瘥。又黄柏分等，亦
佳。
葛氏，疗白秃方。
杀猪即取肚，破去屎，及热以反拓头上。须臾，虫出着肚。若不尽，更作取，令无虫即
休。
又方，末藜芦，以腊月猪膏和涂之，五月漏芦草，烧作灰，膏和使涂之。皆先用盐汤洗，
乃敷。
又方，羊蹄草根，独根者，勿见风日，及妇女鸡犬，以三年醋研和如泥，生布拭疮令去

姚方，以羊肉如作脯法，炙令香及热，以榻上，不过三四日，瘥。
又方，先以皂荚汤热洗，拭干，以少油麻涂，再三，即瘥。

取蟾蜍，烧灰末，以猪脂和，敷之。
又方，治干癣，积年生痂，搔之黄水出，每逢阴雨即痒。
用斑蝥半两微炒为末，蜜调敷之。

何首乌，艾，等分，以水煎令浓。于盆内洗之，甚能解痛，生肌肉。

羊蹄根，捣，绞取汁，用调腻粉少许。如膏，涂敷癣上，三五遍，即瘥。如干，即猪脂
调和敷之。
《鬼遗方》，治疥癣。
松胶香，研细，约酌入少轻粉，滚令匀，凡疥癣上，先用油涂了，擦末，一日便干，顽
者三两度。
《圣惠方》，治癣湿痒。
用楮叶半斤，细切，捣烂，敷癣上。
杨氏《产乳》，疗疮疥。
烧竹叶为末，以鸡子白和之。涂上，不过三四次，立瘥。
《十全方》，治疥疮。
巴豆十粒，火炮过黄色，去皮膜。右顺手，研如面，入酥少许，腻粉少许。同研匀，爪
破，以竹篦子点药，不得落眼里及外肾上。如熏炙着外肾，以黄丹涂，甚妙。
《经验方》，治五般疮癣。
以韭根，炒存性，旋捣末，以猪脂油调，敷之。三度，瘥。
《千金方》，疗漆疮。
用汤溃芒硝令浓，涂之。干即易之。
谭氏，治漆疮。
汉椒汤洗之，即愈。

以桑叶好者，净洗过。熟蒸一宿后，日干为末，水调二钱匕，服。
肘后方，治卒得浸淫疮转有汁多起，心早治之，续

又方，疗大人小儿，卒得月蚀方。
于月望夕取兔屎，及纳虾蟆腹中，合烧为灰末，以敷疮上，瘥。

虎头骨二两，捣碎，同猪脂一升，熬成膏，黄，取涂疮上。
《圣惠方》，治反花疮。
用马齿苋一斤，烧作灰细研，猪脂调敷之。
又方，治诸疮 肉，如蚁出数寸。
用硫黄一两，细研， 肉上薄涂之，即便缩。
《鬼遗方》，治一切疮肉出。
以乌梅烧为灰，研末，敷上，恶肉立尽，极妙。
《简要济众》方，敷疮药。
黄药子四两为末，以冷水调敷疮上，干即旋敷之。
《兵部手集》，治服丹石人，有热疮，疼不可忍方，用纸环围肿处，中心填硝石令满匙

唐人记其事云，江左尝有商人，左膊上有疮如人面，亦无它苦。商人戏滴酒口中，其面
亦赤色，以物食之。亦能食，食多则宽。膊内肉胀起，或不食之。则一臂痹，有善医者。教
其历试诸药，金石草木之类。悉试之无苦，至贝母，其疮乃聚眉闭口，商人喜曰，此药可治
也。因以小笔筒毁其口，灌之，数日成痂，遂愈。然不知何疾也，谨按本经主金疮，此岂金
疮之类欤。

又一方：煮柳叶或柳皮来清洗患处也可以，加入少许盐，此法也可治疗面部的疮疡。
又一方：腊月猪油一升，头发如鸡蛋大小一团，活鲫鱼一条。一起煎煮，直到完全消尽，再加入雄黄、苦参粉末各二两，大附子一枚，研末。搅拌使其凝固，用来敷治各种疮疡，没有不愈的。胡洽方的此方，治疗疽疥，效果极佳。
疮口中突出坏肉的情况。
将乌梅屑研成粉末，敷在患处。又将硫黄研末敷在上面，干燥时用唾液调和涂抹。
恶疮结痂且瘙痒疼痛。
捣碎扁豆，封贴于患处，痂皮脱落即痊愈，这是近世的方子。

水银、黄连、胡粉，熬至黄色，各二两。过筛后，将药粉撒在疮上。若疮口无渗出液，用唾液调和涂抹。
小儿身上的恶疮。
取笋汁洗澡清洗，用笋壳研成散剂敷之，有效。
人体生恶疮，似火烧般自行溃烂。
胡粉炒黑，黄柏、黄连等分。过筛后，将药粉敷于患处。
头部恶疮。
胡粉、水银、白松脂各二两。腊月猪油四两，与松脂一起煎煮，将水银、胡粉混合研磨，涂于患处。
每日两次。胡洽说，治疗小儿头面疮。又一方，加黄连二两，也能治疗秃疮。
恶疮雄黄膏方。
雄黄、雌黄，均研末，水银各一两。松脂二两，猪脂半斤，头发如鸡蛋大小，以上药物一起煎煮，去渣。加入水银，敷于疮口，每日两次。
效方，恶疮食肉雄黄散。
雄黄六分，茹草、矾石各二分，研末敷于疮中，每日两次。
治疗疮疡的方子，最能去除面部粉刺。
黄连八分，糯米、赤小豆各五分，吴茱萸一分。胡粉、水银各六分。捣碎黄连等药，过筛。先在掌心中研磨水银至极细，与药粉混合，用生麻油调至稀稠适宜。洗净疮口擦干后敷上。凡是疮疡均可治疗，神效不传。
甘家松脂膏，治疗热疮，特别是脓疱疮。不留疤痕的方子。
松脂、白胶香、乳香各一两，当归、蜂蜡各一两半。甘草一两，并切成小块。猪脂、羊肾脂各半合左右。生地黄汁亦半合。将松脂等药研末，放入脂膏和地黄汁中，用微火煎至黄色，过滤去渣。涂在布上，贴敷疮口，极有验方，甘家秘而不传。此为半剂。
地黄膏，治疗一切已溃破的疮疡。以及灸贴后无痂、生肌去脓的神秘方。
地黄汁一升，松脂二两，乳香一两，羊肾脂及牛酥。各如鸡蛋大小。先在地黄汁中煎松脂及香，使其融化。随即加入羊脂酥，并再加半个鸡蛋大小的蜂蜡，一时混合。用慢火煎，水分尽干而成膏。去渣，涂在帛上，贴敷疮口，每日更换一至二次。若加旧红布一片、乱发如鸡蛋大小，治疗多年的疮疡，十余日即愈，这是生肌的秘法。
妇人脸颊上的疮，痊愈后每年复发。用甘家秘方涂抹，永不再发。
黄矾石二两，烧至汁液流尽。胡粉一两，水银一两半。捣碎过筛，将矾石、胡粉再次过筛。先用少许猪脂，在瓷器内将水银熟研至完全融化，再加猪脂，以及矾石、胡粉，调和至粘稠状。洗脸部疮口涂上，另外再熬胡粉至黄色，涂完膏后，再敷此粉，数日即愈，甘家使用非常有效。
治疗“疳”疮，凡是腰脚以下都称为“疳”。这都有虫子吃它，虫死即愈，此方立竿见影。
醋泔水一碗，大麻子一盏，白沙盐末各一撮，混合掩敷于疮上。干了再敷，先用温泔水洗净，擦干，敷上一二次，即愈。孔洞如针眼，都是虫子吃的，效果极大。
效方，恶疮三十年不愈者。
大黄、黄芩、黄连各一两，研为散剂，洗净疮口，撒上药粉。每日三次，无不痊愈。又黄柏等分，也很好。
葛氏，治疗白秃疮的方子。
杀猪时取猪肚，剖开去屎，趁热反拓于头上。一会儿，虫子爬出粘在肚子上。如果没除尽，再做一次，直到无虫为止。
又一方：将藜芦研末，用腊月猪油调和涂抹。五月漏芦草，烧成灰，用膏调和涂抹。都要先用盐水洗，然后敷药。
又一方：羊蹄草根，独根的，不要见风日，也不要让妇女、鸡犬看见，用三年陈醋研磨成泥状，用生布擦拭疮口使其干净，然后敷药。
姚氏方：将羊肉像做肉脯的方法一样，烤至香热，贴敷其上，不过三四天，即愈。
又一方：先用皂荚汤热洗，擦干，用少量芝麻油涂抹，反复多次，即愈。

Formula 38 for Treating Sudden Onset of Erysipelas, Fire Toxins, and Malignant Ulcers (Commentary: This section has text but no title; added according to the table of contents)
Ge's Formula: For adults and children who suddenly develop malignant ulcers of an unnamed nature.
Burn bamboo leaves, mix with egg yolk, apply topically. The condition will heal.
Another formula: Take two liang of Cnidii Fructus (Shechuangzi) and two liang of Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), grind into powder. Sprinkle the powder on the ulcer surface, mix with Pig Fat (Zhuzhi), apply topically. The condition will heal.
Another formula: Burn snake skin, grind into powder, mix with Lard (Zhugao), apply topically.
Another formula: Boil Willow Leaf (Liuye) or Willow Bark (Lipi) to wash the affected area. Adding a small amount of Salt is also effective; this method can also treat facial ulcers.
Another formula: One sheng of Lard (Zhugao) from the twelfth lunar month, a clump of hair the size of an egg, and one live Crucian Carp. Decoct together until completely dissolved. Then add two liang each of powdered Realgar (Xionghuang) and Sophorae Flavescentis Radix (Kushen), and one large Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi), ground into powder. Stir until it solidifies. Apply to various ulcers; none will fail to heal. Hu Qia's version of this formula is highly effective for treating carbuncles and scabies.
For cases where malignant flesh protrudes from the ulcer.
Grind dried plum (Wumei) into fine particles and apply. Alternatively, apply sulfur powder; if dry, mix with saliva and apply.
For malignant ulcers that are crusted, itchy, and painful.
Crush Lablab Seed (Biandou), apply as a poultice. When the crust falls off, the condition heals. This is a recent formula.

From "Duan Ju", formulas for treating tinea, scabies, and malignant ulcers.
Two liang each of Mercury (Shuiyin), Alum (Fanshi), Cnidii Fructus (Shechuangzi), and Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian). Pound the four substances and sieve. Mix with seven he of Lard (Zhugao) from the twelfth lunar month. Add Mercury and stir ten thousand times.
Until the Mercury disappears and the ointment is formed, apply to ulcers and infantile head sores. It is effective. Xi Qing Xuan adds one liang of Rubiae Cordifoliae Herba (Ruru); treating various ulcers with this is incredibly divine and effective.
Yao's Formula for treating scabies.
One liang of Realgar (Xionghuang), two liang of Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), two liang of Pine Resin (Songzhi), and hair ash the size of a pellet. Melt the four substances in Lard (Zhugao) and Pine Resin (Songzhi), heat, pound well, and apply to the ulcer. It is very effective.
Another formula, powder for treating malignant ulcers.
Mercury (Shuiyin), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), and Lead White (Hufen), roasted until yellow, two liang each. Sieve and sprinkle powder on the ulcer. If the ulcer has no exudate, mix with saliva and apply.
Malignant ulcers on children's bodies.
Take bamboo shoot juice to bathe and wash. Grind bamboo husks into a powder and apply; it is effective.
When the human body develops malignant ulcers that seem to rot spontaneously like fire.
Roast Lead White (Hufen) until black. Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai) and Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) in equal parts. Sieve and sprinkle powder on the lesion.

Cut Xanthium Fruit (Canger) and Peach Bark (Taopi) into pieces, insert into the ulcer; it is good.
Malignant ulcers on the head.
Lead White (Hufen), Mercury (Shuiyin), and White Pine Resin (Baisongzhi), two liang each. Four liang of Lard (Zhugao) from the twelfth lunar month. Decoct with Pine Resin. Grind Mercury and Lead White together and apply.
Apply twice daily. Hu Qia states this treats infantile head and face ulcers. Another formula adds two liang of Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) and also treats tinea capitis (baldness).
Realgar Ointment for Malignant Ulcers.
Realgar (Xionghuang) and Orpiment (Cihuang), both ground into powder, and Mercury (Shuiyin), one liang each. Two liang of Pine Resin (Songzhi), half jin of Lard (Zhuzhi), and a clump of hair the size of an egg. Decoct the above ingredients together, strain. Add Mercury and apply to the ulcer twice daily.
Effective Formula: Realgar Powder for Ulcers Eating Flesh.
Realgar (Xionghuang) six fen, Rubiae Cordifoliae Herba (Ruru) and Alum (Fanshi) two fen each. Grind into powder and apply inside the ulcer twice daily.
A formula for treating ulcers, most effective for removing facial acne.
Eight fen of Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), five fen each of Glutinous Rice (Nuomi) and Adzuki Bean (Chixiaodou), one fen of Evodiae Fructus (Wuzhuyu). Six fen each of Lead White (Hufen) and Mercury (Shuiyin). Pound Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) and other herbs, sieve. First, grind Mercury (Shuiyin) in the palm until extremely fine. Mix with the herbal powder. Use raw Sesame Oil (Shengmayou) to adjust the consistency. Wash the ulcer, dry it, and apply. It treats all types of ulcers with divine efficacy, a secret not passed down.
Gan Family's Pine Resin Ointment, for treating heat sores, especially pustular impetigo, leaving no scars.
Pine Resin (Songzhi), Liquidambar Resin (Baijiaoxiang), and Frankincense (Xunluxiang), one liang each. Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) and Beeswax (La), one and a half liang each. Licorice Root (Gancao), one liang, cut into pieces. Lard (Zhuzhi) and Sheep Kidney Fat (Yangshenzhi), about half he each. Fresh Rehmanniae Radix Juice (Shengdihuangzhi), half he. Grind Pine Resin (Songzhi) and other ingredients into powder. Add to the fats and Rehmanniae Radix Juice (Shengdihuangzhi). Decoct over low heat until yellow. Strain. Apply on cloth and patch onto the ulcer. Highly effective, a secret of the Gan family not passed down. This is a half dose.
Rehmannia Ointment, for treating all types of ulcerated wounds. Also a mysterious formula for post-cauterization care to prevent scarring, promote tissue regeneration, and remove pus.
One sheng of Rehmanniae Radix Juice (Dihuangzhi), two liang of Pine Resin (Songzhi), one liang of Frankincense (Xunluxiang), Sheep Kidney Fat (Yangshenzhi) and Beef Tallow/Suet (Niusu), each the size of an egg. First, decoct Pine Resin (Songzhi) and Frankincense (Xunluxiang) in Rehmanniae Radix Juice (Dihuangzhi) until melted. Then add Sheep Fat (Yangzhi) and Suet (Su), along with half an egg-sized piece of Beeswax (La). Mix together. Decoct over slow heat until the water evaporates and the ointment forms. Strain. Apply on silk and patch onto the ulcer. Change once or twice daily. For chronic cases lasting years, add a piece of old red cloth and a clump of hair the size of an egg. It heals in about ten days. This is a secret method for tissue regeneration.
For ulcers on a woman's cheek that recur annually after healing. Apply the Gan Family Secret Formula; it will never recur.
Two liang of Yellow Alum (Huangfanshi), roasted until liquid runs out. One liang of Lead White (Hufen), one and a half liang of Mercury (Shuiyin). Pound and sieve. Roast the Alum and Lead White again and sieve. First, use a small amount of Lard (Zhuzhi) in a porcelain vessel to grind Mercury (Shuiyin) until fully dissolved. Add more Lard (Zhuzhi), Alum (Fanshi), and Lead White (Hufen). Mix until viscous. Apply to facial ulcers after washing. Separately, roast Lead White (Hufen) until yellow. After applying the ointment, sprinkle this powder. It heals in a few days. The Gan family finds this very effective.
Treating "Gan" sores: Any sore below the waist and legs is called "Gan". These are caused by worms eating the tissue; when the worms die, it heals. This formula works immediately.
One bowl of vinegar rice water sediment, one zhan of hemp seeds, and one scoop of white sand salt powder. Mix and apply as a compress. Reapply when dry. First wash with warm rice water, dry, then apply once or twice. It heals. The holes look like needle pricks, caused by worms. Highly effective.
Effective Formula: For malignant ulcers unhealed for thirty years.
One liang each of Rheum Palmatum Radix (Dahuang), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), and Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian). Grind into powder. Clean the ulcer and sprinkle powder. Three times daily; all will heal. Equal parts of Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai) is also good.
Ge's Formula for treating white tinea capitis.
After slaughtering a pig, take the stomach, open it, remove feces, and while hot, press it against the head. Soon, worms will emerge and stick to the stomach. If not all are removed, repeat until no worms remain.
Another formula: Grind Veratrum Nigrum (Lilu) into powder, mix with Lard (Zhugao) from the twelfth lunar month and apply. In May, burn Descurainia Sophia (Loulucao) to ash, mix with ointment and apply. Always wash with salt water first before application.
Another formula: Use the root of Rumex acetosella (Yangti), specifically single-rooted ones. Do not expose to wind or sun, and keep away from women, chickens, and dogs. Grind with three-year-old vinegar into a paste. Wipe the ulcer clean with raw cloth, then apply.
Yao's Formula: Prepare mutton like jerky, roast until fragrant and hot, and apply to the affected area. It heals in three to four days.
Another formula: First wash thoroughly with soap pod (Zaoguan) soup, dry, then apply sesame oil repeatedly. It heals.
Supplementary Formulas
"Qianjin Fang": Treats generalized itching with sores and scabies.
Boil Tribulus Terrestris seedlings (Jili) in water to make a wash. Heals immediately. Same as "Qianjin Yifang".
Another formula: Boil Artemisia Capillaris (Yinchenhao) in sufficient quantity to make a concentrated juice for washing. Heals immediately.
"Qianjin Yifang": For early-stage tinea or initial pain/itching.
Apply Curcuma Longa Rhizome (Jianghuang). Excellent.
Another formula: Chew salt and apply. Excellent.
Another formula: For weeping wet tinea and itching infiltration, unbearable daily itching, scratching yields yellow fluid, recurring after healing.
Take Rumex acetosella root (Yangti), remove soil, cut finely, pound with strong vinegar. Wash clean and apply. Rinse with cold water after a period. Apply once daily. Heals. Grinding into powder for application is even better.
"Waitai Miyao": Formula for treating tinea ulcers.
Take Bufo bufo gargarizans (Chanchu), burn to ash, mix with Lard (Zhuzhi), and apply.
Another formula: Treats dry tinea with accumulated crusts over years, scratching yields yellow fluid, itches during rainy weather.
Use half a liang of Mylabris (Banmao), lightly roasted and ground into powder. Mix with honey and apply.
Another formula for scabies.
Pound Rumex acetosella root (Yangti), mix with Lard (Zhuzhi) and apply. Adding a little salt is good.
"Doumen Fang": Treats scabies and tinea.
Use Veratrum Nigrum (Lilu), finely ground into powder. Mix with raw oil and apply.
Wang Shi's "Boji": Treats severe scabies and tinea covering the whole body, considered incurable.
Polygonum multiflorum (Heshouwu) and Mugwort (Ai) in equal parts. Decoct in water until concentrated. Wash in a basin. Very effective for relieving pain and promoting tissue growth.
"Jianyao Jizhong": Treats tinea ulcers unhealed for a long time.
Rumex acetosella root (Yangti), pounded and juiced. Mix with a small amount of Calomel (Nifen) to form a paste. Apply to tinea three to five times. Heals. If dry, mix with Lard (Zhuzhi) and apply.
"Guiyi Fang": Treats scabies and tinea.
Colophony (Songjiaoxiang), finely ground. Add a measured amount of Calomel (Qingfen). Mix evenly. For scabies and tinea, first apply oil, then rub on the powder. Dries in one day. For stubborn cases, apply two or three times.
"Shenghui Fang": Treats wet tinea with itching.
Use half a jin of Celtis Sinensis leaf (Chuye). Cut finely, pound until soft, and apply to tinea.
Yang Shi's "Chanru": Treats sores and scabies.
Burn bamboo leaves to powder, mix with egg white. Apply. Within three to four applications, it heals immediately.
"Shiquan Fang": Treats scabies sores.
Ten seeds of Croton Tiglium (Badou), fire-roasted until yellow, peel and remove membranes. Grind right-hand side until powdery. Add a little butter and Calomel (Nifen). Grind together evenly. Break the skin, apply medicine with a bamboo splinter. Avoid eyes and external genitalia. If applied to external genitalia causing burning, apply Minium (Huandan); this is excellent.
"Jingyan Fang": Treats five types of sores and tinea.
Take Chinese chive root (Jiu gen), stir-fry until carbonized but retaining properties. Grind into powder. Mix with Lard oil and apply. Three applications heal it.
"Qianjin Fang": Treats lacquer dermatitis.
Dissolve Mirabilite (Mangxiao) in hot water to make a concentrated solution. Apply. Change when dry.
Tan Shi: Treats lacquer dermatitis.
Wash with Sichuan Pepper (Han jiao) soup. Heals immediately.
"Qianjin Yi": Treats lacquer dermatitis.
Apply sheep milk.
"Jiyan Fang": Treats lacquer dermatitis.
Take one jin of dried lotus leaves, boil in one dou of water until reduced to five sheng. Wash the affected area twice daily. Heals.
"Doumen Fang": Treats lacquer bite.
Grind Chinese chive leaves and apply. Same as "Shiyi Xinjing".
"Qianjin Fang": Mainly for adults and children with wind-induced urticaria, heart confusion, and oppression.
Break two liang of Croton Tiglium (Badou). Boil in seven sheng of water until reduced to three sheng. Soak a cloth in the liquid and wipe the affected area.
"Waitai Miyao": Apply for wind rash.
Take Immature Bitter Orange (Zhishi), soak in vinegar until wet, roast over fire until hot. Apply at a comfortable temperature. It dissipates immediately.
"Doumen Fang": Treats urticaria.
Decoct Melia toosendan bark (Lianpi) strongly and bathe.
"Meishi Fang": Treats all types of rashes.
Boil Aurantium Imperiale Pericarpium (Zhike) to make a decoction. Apply. Reapply when dry.
Another formula: Boil Mirabilite (Mangxiao) and apply.
Another formula for wind-induced urticaria.
Boose honeycomb (Fengfang) to obtain two sheng of liquid. Add Mirabilite (Mangxiao) and apply. Five times daily. Heals.
"Shenghui Fang": Treats wind-induced urticaria. Generalized itching turning into sores.
Decoct one sheng of Silkworm Feces (Can sha) in two dou of water until reduced to one dou and two sheng. Strain. Wash with the liquid at a warm temperature. Avoid wind.
"Qianjin Yi": Formula for erysipelas and urticaria.
Boil cheese curds and salt. Rub on the affected area; it subsides under the hand.
Also mainly for adult and child wind rash.
Decoct one sheng of Cornus Officinalis Fruit (Zhuyu) in five sheng of wine until reduced to one sheng. Soak a cloth and wipe.
Chu Yushi: Treats skin wind-heat with generalized urticaria.
Equal parts of Arctii Fructus (Niubangzi) and Lemna Minoris Herba (Fuping). Take two qian mixed with mint tea. Twice daily.
"Jingyan Houfang": Treats lung-toxin ulcers resembling leprosy, using Lüyun San.
Select good mulberry leaves (Sangye), wash clean. Steam thoroughly overnight, then dry in the sun and grind into powder. Take two qian bish with water orally.
Zhouhou Fang: Treats sudden impetigo spreading with excessive exudate. If not treated early, spreading around the body can be fatal.
Apply rooster comb blood. Heals.
Another formula: Treats sudden moon-erosion ulcers in adults and children.
On the night of the full moon, collect rabbit feces and place them inside a toad's abdomen. Burn together to ash and powder. Apply to the ulcer. Heals.
"Jiyan Fang": Treats moon-erosion ulcers.
Two liang of Tiger Head Bone, crushed. Decoct with one sheng of Lard (Zhuzhi) until forming a yellow ointment. Apply to the ulcer.
"Shenghui Fang": Treats reverse-flow ulcers.
Use one jin of Portulaca Oleracea (Machixian). Burn to ash, grind finely, mix with Lard (Zhuzhi) and apply.
Another formula: Treats various ulcers with polyps growing inches long like ants.
Use one liang of Sulfur (Huang), finely ground. Thinly apply to the polyp; it shrinks immediately.
"Guiyi Fang": Treats prolapse of flesh from all ulcers.
Burn dried plums (Wumei) to ash, grind into powder, and apply. Evil flesh disappears immediately. Extremely effective.
"Jianyao Jizhong" Formula: Poultice for ulcers.
Four liang of Dioscorea Hypoglauca Rhizome (Huangyaozi), ground into powder. Mix with cold water and apply to the ulcer. Reapply as it dries.
"Bingbu Shouji": Formula for those taking mineral pills who develop painful heat sores.
Make a paper ring to surround the swelling. Fill the center with Saltpeter (Xiaoshi) to fill a spoon. Pour water over it. When the heat sensation stops, the pain ceases.
Treating head sores and various heat sores.
First, wash with a little vinegar and water to remove crusts. Then wash with warm water and dry. Grind Suotuo (Baicaoshuang) finely, add a little Calomel (Nifen), mix with raw oil, and apply. Heals immediately.
Treating malignant ulcers.
A Tang dynasty record states: There was once a merchant in Jiangzuo with a sore on his left arm shaped like a human face, causing no other discomfort. The merchant jokingly dripped wine into its mouth, and the face turned red. Feeding it food, it could eat; eating more made the flesh under the arm swell. Not feeding it caused numbness in the arm. A skilled physician taught him to test various minerals, stones, and herbs. None caused harm. When tested with Fritillariae Bulbus (Beimu), the sore closed its eyebrows and mouth. The merchant rejoiced, saying, "This medicine can cure it." He used a small brush handle to pry open the mouth and灌 (pour) the medicine in. After several days, a scab formed, and it healed. However, the nature of the disease is unknown. According to the Ben Jing, Beimu treats metal wounds. Could this be a type of metal wound?
