上各洗净锉碎，入井水于铜器内浸三宿，慢火煎熬浓汁，滤去滓，以滓再煎再滤，慢
火煎熬，槐、柳、桑枝搅，熬如饴糖，入蜜和匀，更人羯羊胆、雄猪胆各二枚和匀，瓷
碗顿放汤瓶口上，蒸成膏，复滤净，滴沉水中成珠可丸为度，待数日出火毒，再熔化，入
诸药末和匀，杵为丸锭，阴干，用金银箔为衣。每以少许，井水化开，鸭毛蘸点眼，又
以热汤泡化洗眼，大有神效。
碧玉散 治眼睛肿胀，红赤昏暗，羞明怕日，隐涩难开，疼痛风痒，头重鼻塞，脑
鼻酸疼，翳膜 肉，眵泪稠粘，拳毛倒睫，一切眼证。

《宝鉴》春雪膏 治风热上攻眼目，昏暗痒痛，隐涩难开，多眵泪，羞明疼痛，或生翳膜。

点眼金丝膏 治男妇目疾，远年近日，翳膜遮睛，拳毛倒睫，黑花烂弦，迎风冷泪，及
赤眼肿痛， 肉攀睛。

炉甘石（不以多少，拣粉红梅花色佳，用甘锅子盛 七次，入黄连水淬七次） 黄连（不以多少，捶碎，
水浸一宿去滓，将 红炉甘石淬七次，同黄连水细研飞过，候澄下，去上面水，曝干，再用乳钵研极细，
罗过用，三钱） 龙胆草（不以多少，洗净日干，不见火，研末，一钱） 桑柴皮（罗过，二钱） 黄丹（罗过，半钱）
上同白蜜四两，一处入黑瓷器内，文武火慢熬，以竹篦子搅如漆色不粘手为度，切
勿犯生水，仍不用铁器熬药，药成，依旧以瓷器盛炖。每用如皂子大，新冷水半盏化开，
先三日不用，每日洗数次无妨。药盏须用纸盖，不可犯尘灰，截赤眼极效。
散血膏 治赤肿不能开，睛痛，热泪如雨。
紫金皮 白芷 大黄 姜黄 南星 大柏皮 赤小豆 寒水石
上为细末，生地黄汁调成膏，敷眼四围。
又方 用生田螺肉、生地黄同真黄土研烂，贴太阳穴。
又方，用黄丹，蜂蜜调贴太阳穴，立效。
又方用∶南星 地黄 赤小豆
上研烂，贴太阳穴。
清凉膏
生南星 薄荷叶（各半两） 荆芥 百药煎（各三钱）
上为末，井水调成膏。贴眼角上，自然清凉。
洗眼方 治昏膜，止疼去风。
秦皮 杏仁 黄连 甘草 防风 当归须（各等分） 滑石（少许）
上为末，水一盏，煎至半盏，去滓，时时带温洗。
又方
铜绿（半斤） 炉甘石（一斤） 黄连 黄芩 黄柏（三味各等分）
上将前二味，同碾细罗过，将后三味浓煎，调末为丸，临时用将冷水浸开洗之。
【鸡柏根方】
鸡柏根（一斤），黄连（半斤），龙胆草、黄柏、生地黄、苦参（各二两），大黄、黄芩、栀子、赤芍药、防风、菊花、玄参、当归（各一两），羌活、木贼、蒺藜、连翘、蔓荆子、细辛、川芎、白芷（各五钱），夜明砂、蛇蜕、蝉蜕（各二钱半）。另有方剂，福建地区有后十一味草药在内，使用见效迅速；其他地区若无此草药，不用亦有效。
苦花子、地薄荷、地西瓜、田茶菊、七层楼、千里光、铁梗子、地园荽、地胡椒、蛇不见、水杨梅根皮（以上各取新鲜采摘的一握，捣烂，另外煎煮脓汁，加入前面的药物共同煎制成膏）。冬蜜（半斤）。
将上述药物分别洗净锉碎，放入井水中，在铜器内浸泡三个夜晚，用慢火煎熬浓缩药汁，过滤去除药渣，再用药渣重新煎煮并过滤，用慢火继续煎熬，用槐枝、柳枝、桑枝搅拌，熬至像饴糖一样粘稠，加入蜂蜜调和均匀，再加入羯羊胆、雄猪胆各两个调和均匀，放在瓷碗中置于汤瓶口上蒸制成膏，再次过滤干净，滴入水中能成珠状即可制成丸剂，待数日除去火毒，再熔化，加入各种药末调和均匀，杵捣成丸锭，阴干，用金银箔作为外衣。每次取少许，用井水化开，用鸭毛蘸取点眼，又用热汤泡化洗眼，大有神效。
【碧玉散】
治疗眼睛肿胀，红赤昏暗，羞明怕日，隐涩难开，疼痛风痒，头重鼻塞，脑鼻酸疼，翳膜遮睛，胬肉攀睛，眵泪稠粘，拳毛倒睫，一切眼证。
踯躅花、脑荷、羌活、川芎、细辛、防风、荆芥、蔓荆子、白芷（各一钱），风化硝、石膏（各三钱），青黛、黄连（各三钱），鹅不食草（三两）。
将上述药物研为细末，吹入鼻中，一日吹两次。
【乳香散】
治疗内外障眼，胬肉攀睛，倒睫拳毛，翳膜遮睛，一切目疾。
防风、荆芥、川芎、白芷、细辛、本（藁本）、羌活、白菊花、石菖蒲、天麻、蔓荆子、瓜蒂、赤小豆、汉防己、菟丝子、谷精草、自然铜（制）、郁金、当归、石膏（三钱），乳香、没药、雄黄、蛇蜕（炒焦）、蝉蜕（炒焦）、穿山甲（烧）、鸡子蜕（烧）、脑荷（各五分），麝香、片脑（各半分）。
将上述药物研为细末，每次取少许，吹入鼻中。

[Chicken Cypress Root Formula]
Jibai Gen (Radix Jibai, 1 jin), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, 0.5 jin), Longdancao (Radix Gentianae), Huangbai (Cortex Phellodendri), Shengdihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Recens), Kushen (Radix Sophorae Flavescentis) (each 2 liang), Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae), Zhizi (Fructus Gardeniae), Chishaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae), Juhua (Flos Chrysanthemi), Xuanshen (Radix Scrophulariae), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) (each 1 liang), Qianghuo (Rhizoma Notopterygii), Mouzei (Herba Equiseti Hiemalis), Jili (Fructus Tribuli), Lianqiao (Fructus Forsythiae), Manjingzi (Fructus Viticis), Xixin (Herba Asari), Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong), Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae) (each 5 qian), Yemingsha (Feces Phalacrocoracis), Shehui (Exuvias Bombycis), Chanui (Exuvias Cicadae) (each 2.5 qian). Another formula includes eleven herbal medicines from the latter part, which are effective when used in Fujian; if these herbs are unavailable elsewhere, the formula remains effective without them.
Kuhua Zi (Semen Broussonetiae), Dimobohe (Mentha Haplocalyx var. Bracteata), DiXigua (Citrullus Lanatus var. Citroides), Tianchaju (Chrysanthemum Indicum), Qicenglou (Paris Polyphylla), Qianliguang (Senecio Scandens), Tiegengzi (Euphorbia Humifusa), Diyuan sui (Coriandrum Sativum), Dihujiao (Zanthoxylum Bungeanum), Shebujian (Lycium Chinense), Shuiyangmeigenpi (Rhamnus Alaternus Bark) (above each take a handful of fresh picked, pound into paste, separately decoct pus juice, add to previous medicines and decoct into ointment). Dongmi (Winter Honey, 0.5 jin).
Wash each ingredient clean and cut into pieces, soak in well water in a copper vessel for three nights, slowly boil to concentrate the juice, filter out dregs, re-decoct dregs and filter again, slowly boil, stir with branches of Huai (Locust), Liu (Willow), and Sang (Mulberry), boil until like maltose, add honey and mix evenly, add two gallbladders of male sheep and male pig, mix evenly, place in a porcelain bowl on top of a soup pot, steam into ointment, filter cleanly again, drip into water until pearls form, ready for pill making. Wait several days to remove fire toxicity, remelt, add various powdered medicines, mix evenly, pound into pills or ingots, dry in shade, coat with gold and silver foil. Take a small amount each time, dissolve in well water, dip duck feather to apply to eyes, also wash eyes with hot water decoction, with great efficacy.
[Biyu San]
Treats eye swelling, redness and dimness, photophobia, difficulty opening due to stickiness, pain and wind-itch, heavy head and nasal congestion, soreness and pain in brain and nose, pterygium covering the pupil, fleshy growth overgrowing the cornea, thick sticky discharge and tears, inverted eyelashes, and all eye conditions.
Zhizhu Hua (Flos Daphnes Gnidii), Naohé (Borneolum Syntheticum), Qianghuo (Rhizoma Notopterygii), Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong), Xixin (Herba Asari), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae), Jingjie (Herba Schizonepetae), Manjingzi (Fructus Viticis), Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae) (each 1 qian), Fenghua Xiao (Natrii Sulfas Efflorescens), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) (each 3 qian), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis) (each 3 qian), Ebusicao (Herba Centipedae) (3 liang).
Grind into fine powder, insufflate into nose, twice a day.
[Ruxiang San]
Treats internal and external cataracts, pterygium, inverted eyelashes, cataract covering the pupil, and all eye diseases.
Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae), Jingjie (Herba Schizonepetae), Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong), Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae), Xixin (Herba Asari), Ben (Rhizoma Ligustici), Qianghuo (Rhizoma Notopterygii), Baijuhua (Flos Chrysanthemi Indicum), Shichangpu (Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii), Tianma (Rhizoma Gastrodiae), Manjingzi (Fructus Viticis), Gudi (Fructus Trichosanthis), Chi Xiaodou (Semen Phaseoli Uradis), Hanfangji (Radix Stephaniae Tetrandrae), Tusizi (Semen Cuscutae), Gujingcao (Flores Evodiae), Ziran Tong (Pyritum, processed), Yujin (Radix Curcumae Longae), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) (3 qian), Ruxiang (Resina Olibani), Moyao (Resina Myrrhae), Xionghuang (Realgar), Shehui (Exuvias Bombycisc, fried until charred), Chanui (Exuvias Cicadae, fried until charred), Chuanshanjia (Squama Manis, burnt), Jizitui (Ovum Gallus domesticum, burnt), Naohé (Borneolum Syntheticum) (each 5 fen), Shexiang (Moschus), Pian Nao (Camphora) (each 0.5 fen).
Grind into fine powder, take a small amount each time, insufflate into nose.
[Chuiyun Gao]
Treats weak vision, difficulty opening eyes due to stickiness, excessive discharge after sleep, tearing, tearing upon exposure to cold wind, photophobia, desire to keep eyes closed, preference for dark rooms with windows covered, cataract covering the pupil. Applying this medicine frequently yields miraculous results.
Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, 3 qian), Ruiren (Semen Pruni Armeniacae), Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae) (each 3 fen), Qingpi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae), Lianqiao (Fructus Forsythiae), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae) (each 4 fen), Shengdihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Recens, 1.5 qian), Xixin (Herba Asari, 1 fen), Chaihu (Radix Bupleuri, 5 fen), Danggui Shen (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, root body), Sheng Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) (each 6 fen), Jingjie Sui (Herba Schizonepetae Spike, 1 qian, extract strong juice).
Cut into pieces, except for Lianqiao, use two bowls of clean water, first decoct other medicines until half a bowl remains, add Lianqiao and decoct until one large cup remains, filter out dregs, put in silver cup, boil with moderate heat until drops form pearls in water, add cooked honey, mix evenly and apply.
[Jinlu Gao]
Eliminates dimness, removes nebula, stops redness, relieves pain.
Ruiren (Semen Pruni Armeniacae, crushed), Huangdan (Lithargyrum) (each 1 liang), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, 0.5 liang), Mi (Honey, 6 liang).
First stir-fry Huangdan until purple, add honey and mix evenly, pour in four sheng of running water, hold five or seven young willow branches firmly and stir, then add Ruiren, wait for ten boils, then add Huanglian, stir constantly with willow branch, boil until reduced to seven or eight he, pour medicine onto paper using a colander, drip slowly, avoid dust contamination. If there is fleshy growth, add 1 qian of Naosha powder, melt slowly over fire, add to previous ointment.
According to "Longmu Lun": After suffering from typhoid fever or heat disease, do not apply, as it may damage the eyes. This statement can be considered a contraindication for this medicine.
["Baojian" Chunxue Gao]
Treats wind-heat attacking eyes, causing dimness, itching, pain, difficulty opening, excessive discharge, photophobia, pain, or formation of nebula.
Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, 4 liang, cut, soak in two sheng of child's urine overnight, remove Huanglian, quench Ganshi with the juice), Nan Luganshi (Calamina, 12 liang, calcined, quenched with Huanglian juice), Naosha (Realgar, 1 qian, finely ground, mixed with water, stewed in a cup until dry), Hao Huangdan (Lithargyrum, 6 liang, water-ground), Ruxiang (Resina Olibani), Wuzhougu (Os Sepiae, burnt to retain properties), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) (each 3 qian), Baixingding (Stercus Columbae, 0.5 qian), Shexiang (Moschus), Qingfen (Calomelas) (small amounts each).
Grind each separately and store. First use 1 jin 4 liang of good honey, refine to remove wax, add Ganshi powder, stir constantly, then add Huangdan, then add various powders, stir constantly until purple-gold color and non-sticky, roll into sticks. Use one grain each time, grind with new water, apply occasionally. Avoid alcohol, wet noodles, and buckwheat.
[Dianyansijin Gao]
Treats eye diseases in men and women, long-standing or recent, cataract covering the pupil, inverted eyelashes, black flowers and rotten margins, cold tears upon exposure to wind, red swollen painful eyes, and pterygium overgrowing the cornea.
Naosha (Realgar, ground), Jin Fan (Alumen, ground), Qingyan (Halitum, ground) (each 1 qian), Ruxiang (Resina Olibani, good quality, finely ground), Pian Nao (Camphora, ground) (each 2 qian), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, cut, washed clean), Huangdan (Lithargyrum, ground) (each 0.5 liang), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, 1 liang).
Use 4 liang of good honey, except Pian Nao, mix with seven ingredients, put in green bamboo tube, wrap mouth with oil paper five or seven layers, tie tightly, put in soup pot, boil with moderate heat for one hour, take out, break open, filter dregs with new cotton, then add Pian Nao and mix evenly, store in porcelain bottle, seal mouth with oil paper five or seven layers, bury in open ground to remove fire toxicity, wait half a month to take out, apply size of millet grain to eyes each time.
[Longnao Gao]

Luganshi (Calamina, any amount, select pink plum-blossom color best, calcine in clay pot seven times, quench in Huanglian water seven times), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, any amount, crush, soak in water overnight, remove dregs, quench calcined red Luganshi seven times, grind finely with Huanglian water, pass through sieve, let settle, remove upper water, dry in sun, grind extremely fine in mortar, sieve, 3 qian), Longdancao (Radix Gentianae, any amount, wash clean, dry in sun, avoid fire, grind to powder, 1 qian), Sangchai Pi (Cortex Mori Radicis, sieved, 2 qian), Huangdan (Lithargyrum, sieved, 0.5 qian).
Mix with 4 liang white honey, put in black porcelain vessel, slowly boil with moderate heat, stir with bamboo spatula until lacquer-like color and non-sticky, strictly avoid raw water, do not use iron vessels for boiling medicine. When finished, store in porcelain vessel. Use size of soap bean each time, dissolve in half cup of new cold water, do not use for first three days, wash several times daily is acceptable. Cover medicine cup with paper, avoid dust, very effective for stopping redness.

Treats red swelling unable to open, eye pain, hot tears like rain.
Zijinpi (Cortex Eucommiae Ulmoidis? Or specific bark), Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae), Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Jianghuang (Rhizoma Curcumae Longae), Nanxing (Rhizoma Arisaematis), Dabaipi (Cortex Phellodendri Amurensis?), Chi Xiaodou (Semen Phaseoli Uradis), Hanshuishi (Aqua Calcitae).
Grind into fine powder, mix with juice of Shengdihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Recens) to form paste, apply around eyes.
Another formula: Use raw field snail meat, Shengdihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Recens), and real yellow earth, pound into paste, apply to Taiyang acupoint.
Another formula: Use Huangdan (Lithargyrum), mix with honey, apply to Taiyang acupoint, immediate effect.
Another formula uses: Nanxing (Rhizoma Arisaematis), Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae), Chi Xiaodou (Semen Phaseoli Uradis).
Pound into paste, apply to Taiyang acupoint.

Sheng Nanxing (Rhizoma Arisaematis Recens), Bohe Ye (Folium Menthae Haplocalycis) (each 0.5 liang), Jingjie (Herba Schizonepetae), Baiyao Jian (Pilula Fermentata Medicinalis) (each 3 qian).
Grind into powder, mix with well water to form paste. Apply to corner of eye, naturally cooling.

Treats nebula, stops pain, dispels wind.
Qinpi (Cortex Fraxini), Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae), Danggui Xu (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, root hairs) (equal parts), Huashi (Talcum) (small amount).
Grind into powder, use one cup of water, decoct until half cup remains, filter out dregs, wash with warm liquid occasionally.
Another formula
Tonglv (Vermiparis), Luganshi (Calamina, 1 jin), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis), Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae), Huangbai (Cortex Phellodendri) (three ingredients equal parts).
Grind first two ingredients finely and sieve, decoct last three ingredients strongly, mix powder into pills, use by dissolving in cold water to wash.
