地黄丸
白茯苓（去皮） 人参 山芋（各四两） 枸杞根（三两） 生地黄（五斤，取汁） 白蜜（一斤） 酥（少
许）
上将前四味为末，以好酒一斗，煎至三升，去滓，入地黄汁、白蜜、酥，同煎至可
丸，即丸如小豆大。每服二十丸，用温酒送下，一日三服，渐加至五服。
甘露饮（《和剂》） 治丈夫妇人小儿胃中客热，牙宣口气，齿龈肿烂，时出脓血，目睑
垂重，常欲合闭，或即饥烦，不欲饮食，及赤目肿痛，不任凉药，口舌生疮，咽喉肿痛，
疮疹已发未发，皆可服之。又疗脾胃受湿，瘀热在里，或醉饱房劳，湿热相搏，致生疸病，
身面皆黄，肢体微肿，胸满气短，大便不调，小便黄涩，或时身热，并皆治之。
枇杷叶（刷去毛） 干熟地黄（去土） 天门冬（去心，焙） 枳壳（去穣，麸炒） 山茵陈（去梗） 生干
地黄 麦门冬（去心，焙） 石斛（去芦） 炙甘草 黄芩
上等分，为末，每服二钱，水一盏，煎至七分，去滓温服，食后临卧。小儿一服分
两服，仍量岁数加减与之。
五灵膏 治牙齿动摇。
五灵脂（半两） 松脂 黄蜡（各一两） 黄丹（二钱半） 蟾酥（半字）
上于瓷器中，以慢火熬成膏，用白熟绢上摊，候冷剪作片子。每夜贴于龈上，有津
即吐，误咽不妨。此药临卧时用一次，于恶硬物底一个牙根儿下里外贴之，亦不甚闷。若
是牙儿坚固，自然得力，不恶硬物也。
治牙动摇疼痛
五倍子 白茯苓 细辛（各五钱） 青盐（三钱）
上为细末，早晚刷牙 久有大效。
宣牙膏 治牙齿动摇不牢，疼痛不止。
定粉 龙骨（各二钱半） 麝香（一字） 黄蜡（一两）
上为细末，研匀，将黄蜡熔化和药，放冷取出，熨斗烧热，铺纸，用药摊之匀薄，每
用剪作纸条儿，临卧于齿患处齿龈间封贴一宿，至次日早晨取出药，每夜用之，如此半
月，消牙齿肿闷，坐生龈肉，治疳蚀，去风邪，牢牙齿，大有神效。
五倍子散 治牙齿摇，及外物所伤，诸药不效，欲落者。
川五倍子 干地龙（去土微炒。各半两）
上为细末，先用生姜揩牙根，后以药末敷之，五日内不得咬硬物。如齿初折落时热
贴齿槽中，贴药齿上即牢如故。
治牙齿动摇，髭发赤黄，一服髭黑牙牢。
生姜（半斤，取汁） 地黄（一斤，洗净研细，取自然汁，仍留滓）
上以不蛀皂角十茎，刮去黑皮弦，将前药汁蘸皂角，慢火炙干，再蘸再炙，用药尽
为度，并前药滓同入瓷瓶内，用火 存性为末。牙齿动摇，用药擦牙龈上。如髭黄，以
铁器盛药末三钱，汤调过，三日后将药汁蘸擦髭发，临卧时用，次早已黑色，三夜三次
用，其黑如漆甚妙。
治齿根动欲脱落
上用生地黄，绵裹着齿上咂之。又 咀，以汁渍齿根，日四五，夜着之并咽汁，十日
大佳，如齿挺出，嚼之亦可。
土蒺藜散 治牙齿疼痛，龈肿摇动，及打动牙齿。
上用土蒺藜去角生用，不以多少，为粗末，每服五钱，以淡浆水半碗，煎七八沸，去
滓，入盐末一捻，带热时时漱之，别无所忌。或用根烧灰，贴动牙即牢。治牙齿动摇
上用黑铅半斤，大锅内熔成汁，旋入桑条灰，柳木捶研令沙，以熟绢罗为末。每日
早晨如常揩牙，后用温水漱在盂内，以水洗眼。能明目乌髭发，及治诸般眼疾。
麝香矾雄散 治大人小儿牙齿动摇，龈 宣露骨槽风毒，宣蚀渍烂，不能下食。
麝香 龙骨 胆矾 雄黄
上为细末，每用一字，鹅毛蘸药扫患处。又用三钱，以水七分 煎至五分，热呷满口，
候冷吐去；或每日揩牙，温水漱之。
熟铜末散 治牙齿非时脱落，令牢定。
熟铜末（一两） 当归 细辛 地骨皮 防风（各二钱半）
上为细末，研如粉。每用涂药在患处，以蜡纸封之，日夜二三度，三五日牢定。一日
忌嚼硬物。
露蜂房散 治牙齿不生，及齿风痛。
露蜂房（炙） 荆芥 川椒（去目及合口者，炒出汗） 地骨皮 松节 青盐 白矾（枯。各一两）
上为细末，每用半钱，绵裹，于患处咬之，有涎吐之。
川升麻散 治牙齿不生，齿风宣露。
川升麻 白附子（炮。各一两）
上为细末，研匀，于八月内取生地黄四斤，洗去土，绞取汁二大盏，即下药搅令匀，
放瓷器中。每用以柳枝绵裹一头，点药炙令热，烙齿根下缝中，更涂膏少许即验。
地黄丸
白茯苓（去皮） 人参 山芋（各四两） 枸杞根（三两） 生地黄（五斤，取汁液） 白蜜（一斤） 酥（少许）
以上前四味药研成粉末，用一斗好酒，煎煮至三升，滤去药渣，加入地黄汁、白蜜、酥，共同煎煮至可制成丸剂的程度，即制成如小豆大小的丸药。每次服用二十丸，用温酒送服，每日三次，逐渐增加至每日五次。
甘露饮（出自《和剂局方》） 治疗男子、女子及小儿胃中有客热，牙龈出血口臭，齿龈肿胀溃烂，时常流出脓血，眼睑沉重下垂，常想闭合，或感到饥饿烦闷，不想饮食，以及眼睛红肿疼痛，不耐受寒凉药物，口舌生疮，咽喉肿痛，疮疹已发或未发，皆可服用。又治疗脾胃受湿邪困扰，瘀热在体内，或因醉酒饱食、房劳过度，湿热相互搏结，导致产生黄疸病，身体面目皆黄，肢体轻微浮肿，胸中胀满气短，大便不调，小便黄而涩滞，或有时身体发热，均能治疗。
枇杷叶（刷去毛） 干熟地黄（去土） 天门冬（去心，焙干） 枳壳（去瓤，麸炒） 山茵陈（去梗） 生干地黄 麦门冬（去心，焙干） 石斛（去芦头） 炙甘草 黄芩
以上药物等分，研成粉末，每次服用二钱，用水一盏，煎煮至七分，滤去药渣温服，饭后临睡前服用。小儿每次服量分两次服，仍根据年龄大小加减给予。
五灵膏 治疗牙齿动摇。
五灵脂（半两） 松脂 黄蜡（各一两） 黄丹（二钱半） 蟾酥（半字）
以上在瓷器中，用慢火熬制成膏，摊在白熟绢上，待冷却后剪成片状。每晚贴在牙龈上，有津液就吐出，误吞无妨。此药临睡前使用一次，在坚硬物体咬合的一个牙根下里外贴上，也不会感到太闷。如果是牙齿坚固的，自然得力，不再畏惧硬物。
治疗牙齿动摇疼痛
五倍子 白茯苓 细辛（各五钱） 青盐（三钱）
以上研成细末，早晚刷牙，久用有大效。
宣牙膏 治疗牙齿动摇不牢，疼痛不止。
定粉 龙骨（各二钱半） 麝香（一字） 黄蜡（一两）
以上研成细末，搅拌均匀，将黄蜡熔化混合药物，放冷取出，熨斗烧热，铺纸，用药均匀摊薄，每次剪成纸条，临睡前在牙齿患处齿龈间封贴一夜，到次日早晨取出药，每晚使用，如此半月，消除牙齿肿胀闷热，促使牙龈肉生长，治疗疳蚀，去除风邪，牢固牙齿，大有神效。
五倍子散 治疗牙齿摇动，以及外力所伤，其他药物无效，牙齿欲脱落者。
川五倍子 干地龙（去土微炒。各半两）
以上研成细末，先用生姜擦拭牙根，然后以药末敷在上面，五日内不得咬硬物。如果牙齿刚折断脱落时，趁热贴在齿槽中，贴上药后牙齿立即牢固如初。
治疗牙齿动摇，胡须头发赤黄，一服后胡须变黑牙齿牢固。
生姜（半斤，取汁液） 地黄（一斤，洗净研细，取自然汁，仍保留药渣）
以上用不蛀的皂角十茎，刮去黑皮弦，将前药汁蘸皂角，慢火烤干，再蘸再烤，直到药用完为止，连同前面的药渣一起放入瓷瓶内，用火煅烧存性后研成粉末。牙齿动摇，用药擦拭牙龈上。如果胡须黄，用铁器盛药末三钱，用汤水调过，三天后将药汁蘸擦胡须头发，临睡前使用，第二天清晨已变黑，三夜三次使用，其黑如漆非常妙。
治疗齿根动欲脱落
上面用生地黄，用绵包裹着牙齿吮吸。又咀嚼，用汁液浸泡齿根，日四五次，夜间附着并咽下汁液，十日效果很好，如果牙齿挺出，嚼之也可以。
土蒺藜散 治疗牙齿疼痛，牙龈肿胀摇动，以及触动牙齿。
上面用土蒺藜去角生用，不限多少，研成粗末，每次服用五钱，用淡浆水半碗，煎七八沸，滤去药渣，加入盐末一捻，带热时时漱口，别无所忌。或用根烧成灰，贴在动摇的牙齿上即刻牢固。治疗牙齿动摇
上面用黑铅半斤，大锅内熔成汁，随即加入桑条灰，柳木捶打研磨成沙状，用熟绢筛为粉末。每天早晨像平常一样刷牙，后用温水漱在盂内，用水洗眼。能明目乌黑发，以及治疗各种眼疾。
麝香矾雄散 治疗大人小孩牙齿动摇，牙龈萎缩露骨槽风毒，牙龈侵蚀溃烂，不能进食。
麝香 龙骨 胆矾 雄黄
以上研成细末，每次用一字，鹅毛蘸药扫患处。又用三钱，用水七分煎至五分，热含满口，候冷吐掉；或每天刷牙，温水漱口。
熟铜末散 治疗牙齿非时脱落，使其牢固。
熟铜末（一两） 当归 细辛 地骨皮 防风（各二钱半）
以上研成细末，研如粉。每次将药涂在患处，用蜡纸封住，日夜二三度，三五日后牢固。一日忌嚼硬物。
露蜂房散 治疗牙齿不生，以及齿风痛。
露蜂房（炙） 荆芥 川椒（去目及合口者，炒出汗） 地骨皮 松节 青盐 白矾（枯。各一两）
以上研成细末，每次用半钱，绵包裹，在患处咬之，有涎液吐出。
川升麻散 治疗牙齿不生，齿风牙龈萎缩。
川升麻 白附子（炮。各一两）
以上研成细末，搅拌均匀，在八月内取生地黄四斤，洗去土，绞取汁两大盏，即下药搅令均匀，放入瓷器中。每次用柳枝绵裹一头，点药烤热，烙在齿根下缝中，再涂少许膏即见效。
Taoren Chengqi Decoction (See Blood Stasis Syndrome).
Dihuang Wan (Rehmannia Pill)
Poria Cocos (with skin removed), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae Rhizoma (each 4 liang), Lycii Cortex Radicis (3 liang), Rehmanniae Radix Recens (5 jin, extract juice), Honey (1 jin), Butter (a small amount).
The first four herbs are ground into powder. Boil in one dou of good wine until reduced to three sheng, filter out the dregs, add Rehmanniae Radix Recens juice, honey, and butter, and continue boiling until the mixture can be formed into pills. Shape into pills the size of small beans. Take 20 pills each time, washed down with warm wine, three times a day, gradually increasing to five times a day.
Ganlu Yin (Sweet Dew Drink) (from *Heji Jufang*) Treats guest-heat in the stomach of men, women, and children; bleeding gums and bad breath; swelling and ulceration of the gingiva; frequent discharge of pus and blood; heavy, drooping eyelids that wish to close; hunger and irritability without desire for food; red, swollen, and painful eyes intolerant to cooling medicines; sores in the mouth and tongue; swelling and pain in the throat; eruptions whether erupted or not erupting—all may take this. It also treats dampness affecting the spleen and stomach, stagnant heat within, or damp-heat clashing due to drunkenness, overeating, or sexual exhaustion, leading to jaundice disease: yellowing of the body and face, slight swelling of limbs, chest fullness and shortness of breath, irregular bowel movements, yellow and obstructed urination, or occasional fever—all are treated by this.
Loquat Leaf (brush off hairs), Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (remove soil), Asparagi Radix (remove heart, bake), Aurantii Fructus (remove pith, stir-fry with bran), Artemisiae Scopariae Herba (remove stems), Dried Rehmanniae Radix, Ophiopogonis Radix (remove heart, bake), Dendrobii Caulis (remove roots), Licorice Root (roasted with honey), Scutellariae Radix.
Equal parts of the above herbs are ground into powder. Take 2 qian each time, boil in one cup of water until reduced to 7/10, filter and take warm after meals and before bed. For children, divide the dose into two servings, adjusting according to age.
Wuling Gao (Five Spirits Ointment) Treats loose teeth.
Trogopteri Excrement (ban liang), Pine Resin, Beeswax (each 1 liang), Minium (2.5 qian), Toad Venom (half zi).
Boil the above in a porcelain vessel over slow fire until forming an ointment. Spread on white silk, let cool, and cut into pieces. Apply to the gums every night. Spit out saliva if produced; accidental swallowing is harmless. Use once before bed, applying inside and outside the root of a tooth sensitive to hard objects; it will not feel too stuffy. If the teeth are firm, they will naturally become strong and resistant to hard foods.
Treatment for Loose Teeth and Pain
Myrobalan Fruit, Poria Cocos, Asarum Root (each 5 qian), Green Salt (3 qian).
Grind into fine powder. Brush teeth morning and evening; long-term use yields great efficacy.
Xuya Toothpaste (Gum-Stabilizing Toothpaste) Treats loose and unstable teeth with unceasing pain.
Calamina, Dragon Bone (each 2.5 qian), Moschus (one zi), Beeswax (1 liang).
Grind into fine powder and mix evenly. Melt beeswax and mix with the powder, cool, and remove. Heat an ironing board, place paper, spread the medicine thinly and evenly. Cut into strips each time. Before bed, apply between the gums at the affected tooth site overnight. Remove the medicine the next morning. Use nightly; after half a month, swelling and stuffiness subside, gum tissue regenerates, treat mouth ulcers, dispel wind pathogen, and stabilize teeth with great efficacy.
Wubeizi San (Myrobalan Powder) Treats loose teeth, trauma from external objects where other medicines fail, and teeth about to fall out.
Sichuan Myrobalan, Dry Earthworm (remove soil, slightly stir-fry. Each ban liang).
Grind into fine powder. First wipe tooth roots with fresh ginger, then apply the powder. Do not bite hard objects for five days. If a tooth has just fractured or fallen out, apply while hot into the alveolus; the tooth will become firm as before.
Treatment for Loose Teeth, Red/Yellow Beard and Hair: One dose blackens beard and stabilizes teeth.
Fresh Ginger (ban jin, extract juice), Rehmanniae Radix (1 jin, wash clean, grind fine, extract natural juice, retain dregs).
Take ten stalks of non-boring soap pod, scrape off black skin and strings. Dip the previous juices into the soap pods, roast slowly over low fire until dry, dip again and roast until the medicine is exhausted. Put all together with the dregs into a porcelain bottle. Roast over fire until carbonized (preserve nature) and grind into powder. For loose teeth, rub onto gums. For yellow beard, take 3 qian of powder in an iron container, mix with soup water. After three days, dip and rub the beard/hair with the liquid before bed. By early morning next day, it turns black. Three nights, three applications; the blackness is like lacquer, very excellent.
Treatment for Mobile Tooth Roots About to Fall Out
Use fresh Rehmanniae Radix wrapped in cotton, suck against the teeth. Alternatively, chew and soak tooth roots in the juice, 4-5 times daily, apply at night and swallow the juice. After ten days, results are excellent. If teeth protrude, chewing is also acceptable.
Tu Jili San (Earth Tribulus Powder) Treats toothache, swollen and mobile gums, and disturbed teeth.
Use raw Earth Tribulus (remove spines), quantity unspecified, grind into coarse powder. Take 5 qian each time, boil in half bowl of light fermented grain water for 7-8 boils, filter, add a pinch of salt powder, rinse mouth frequently while warm. No dietary restrictions. Alternatively, burn roots to ash and apply to loose teeth to stabilize them. Treatment for loose teeth:
Use half jin of lead, melt in a large pot, immediately add mulberry branch ash, hammer and grind with willow wood until sandy, sieve through fine silk into powder. Brush teeth normally every morning, then rinse with warm water into a basin, and wash eyes with the water. Brightens eyes, darkens hair/beard, and treats various eye diseases.
Shexiang Fanxiong San (Musk, Alum, Realgar Powder) Treats loose teeth in adults and children, receding gums exposing bone, alveolar abscess toxicity, gum erosion and ulceration, inability to eat.
Moschus, Dragon Bone, Vitriolum (Alumen Crudum), Realgar.
Grind into fine powder. Use one zi each time, dip goose feather in medicine and sweep the affected area. Alternatively, take 3 qian, boil in 7 fen water until reduced to 5 fen, hold hot in mouth, spit out when cool; or brush teeth daily and rinse with warm water.
Shutong Mo San (Calcined Copper Powder) Treats premature tooth loss, making them firm.
Calcined Copper Powder (1 liang), Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Asarum Root, Phellodendri Cortex, Saposhnikoviae Radix (each 2.5 qian).
Grind into fine powder. Apply to affected area, seal with wax paper, 2-3 times day and night. Firm within 3-5 days. Avoid chewing hard foods for one day.
Lufengfang San (Honeycomb Powder) Treats failure of teeth to grow, and wind-toothache.
Roasted Honeycomb, Schizonepetae Spica, Sichuan Pepper (remove eyes and closed ones, stir-fry until sweat appears), Phellodendri Cortex, Pine Joint, Green Salt, Alum (calcined. Each 1 liang).
Grind into fine powder. Take half qian each time, wrap in cotton, bite at affected area, spit out saliva.
Chuan Shengma San (Sichuan Corydalis Powder) Treats failure of teeth to grow, wind-tooth and receding gums.
Sichuan Corydalis Rhizome, Typhonii Rhizoma (processed. Each 1 liang).
Grind into fine powder and mix evenly. In August, take 4 jin of fresh Rehmanniae Radix, wash clean, squeeze to obtain two large cups of juice, add the powder and mix well, store in porcelain vessel. Each time, wrap one end of a willow twig in cotton, dip in medicine, heat, and cauterize the gap under the tooth root. Apply a little more ointment for effect.
