Minister Yuxi et al. respectfully note according to *Shu Bencao* (Shu Province Materia Medica): Currently, there is already an entry for "Shi Nao" in the Middle Category with very different indications; it should be similar to herbs such as Xuchangqing (Caulis Clematidis Armandii, alias Guidu You). Detailed illustrations are recorded under the entry for "Stone" in *Tujing Bencao* (Illustrated Classic of Materia Medica).
*Dangan Jingyuan* (Mirror Source of Alchemy): Woxue Shi (Snow-Holding Stone) is used for drying mercury, processing mercury, and cinnabar.

Tao Hongjing says: This resembles Zhuru (Stalactite) and Konggong Nie (Konggong Residue) in nature, hence the name "Nie," but it grows on cliff faces. Although present today, it is no longer collected for use. Note from *Tang Bencao*: This is Tu Ru (Earth Milk), produced in the flat earth caves on the northwest slope of Sanjiao Post Station, Zhang County, Weizhou. Over sixty pits can be seen where ancestors mined it. Current analysis: Another edition's note states: This is Tuzhiye (Earth Fat Liquid), growing in earth holes, resembling Yin Nie (Yin Residue) in shape, thus named Tuyin Nie. Minister Yuxi et al. respectfully note according to *Shu Bencao*: According to the record in *Shennong Benjing* (Divine Farmer's Materia Medica), it aligns with Tao Hongjing's annotation, whereas Su Gong's explanation differs uniquely. It is suspected that Su Gong's view may not be correct.
