The branch of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian enters the teeth, and the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian has branches entering the cheeks and covering the teeth. If the meridians are deficient, wind pathogen invades, condensing and obstructing between the teeth, interacting with blood and qi, resulting in gingival swelling. If heat pathogen is added, pus flows out with a foul odor, eroding the teeth and gums; this is called dental caries (caries dentis), also known as wind caries.
The *Yangsheng Fang* states: Grinding the teeth morning and evening prevents dental caries.
It also states: After eating, rinse the mouth several times. Otherwise, it causes one to suffer from dental caries.
The term "tooth worm" refers to the condition where worms eat into the teeth reaching the gums, causing pus formation, rotting, and foul-smelling discharge, resembling erosion; hence it is called tooth worm.
The branch of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian enters the teeth. Wind-cold affecting the head and face transmits into this meridian, transforming fluids in the teeth and gums into pus. With blood and qi exhausted and unable to nourish the teeth, the tooth roots become exposed and protrude.
The branch of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian enters the teeth, and the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian covers the teeth. Teeth are the end of bones, nourished by marrow. If the meridians are deficient and wind pathogen takes advantage, blood and qi cannot moisten and nourish, causing the teeth to become loose.
Teeth are the end of bones, nourished by marrow. The meridians of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine and Foot-Yangming Stomach both enter the teeth. If blood and qi are abundant, bone marrow is strong; even if teeth are damaged and fall out, they can regenerate. If blood and qi are depleted and wind-cold invades, leading to dental caries or gum recession, regeneration cannot occur.
The term "loose teeth sound" refers to wind-cold lodging between the teeth and gums, causing gum recession and pus discharge, making teeth sparse. When speaking, air passes through the gaps creating a sound; the world calls this "loose teeth sound."
Teeth are the end of bones, nourished by marrow. The meridians of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine and Foot-Yangming Stomach both enter the teeth. Wind-cold invading the meridians damages bone marrow and blood, failing to nourish the teeth, causing them to turn dark black; this is called "li du" (generalized dental caries).
The branch of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian enters the teeth. Wind pathogen lodges in the meridians, stagnating at the tooth roots, causing gingival swelling and pus discharge. It recurs after healing; this is called... [Text incomplete]
