妇人有怀妊，终年不产，面色黄瘦，腹如斗大，肌肤消削，常至二、三年未生
者，此鬼胎也。或入神庙山林，起交感之念，皆能召祟成胎。幸其人不至淫荡，见
祟惊惶，遇合愧恧则鬼祟不能久恋，一交媾而去，然而淫气妖氛已结于腹，遂成
鬼胎。其先人尚未觉，迨后渐渐腹大。盖人身之气血不行，内外相包，一如怀胎之
兆，有似血臌之形，其实非胎非臌也。治法必用逐秽之药为主。但人至怀胎数年，
即非鬼胎，其气血必衰，况非真妊，则邪气甚旺，正不敌邪，虚弱可知，乌可以迅
利之药竟用祛荡乎。自必从补中逐之为得。方用荡鬼汤∶
雷丸（三钱） 大黄（一两） 红花（三钱） 枳壳（一钱） 浓朴（一钱） 桃仁（二十粒） 当归（一两）
人参（一两） 牛膝（三钱） 丹皮（三钱） 水煎服。一剂腹必大鸣，泻出恶物半桶，再服二煎，又
泻恶物而愈，断不可用三剂也。
此方用雷丸以祛秽，又得大黄之扫除，佐之红花、浓朴等药，皆善行善攻之品，
亦何邪能留于腹中，自然尽情逐下。然用参、归以补气血，则邪去而正又不伤，否
则单用雷丸、大黄以迅下之，必有血崩气脱之害矣。倘或自知鬼胎，如室女寡妇之
人，一旦成形，虽邪气甚盛，而真气未漓，可用岐天师新传红黄霹雳散∶红花半斤，
大黄五钱，雷丸三钱，水煎服，亦能下胎。然未免过伤血气，不若荡鬼汤，有益无
损之更佳也。亦在人斟酌而善用之耳。
用追祟丹亦神效。

两，红花一两，水煎服。自然败血净而新血生也。连用四剂，自庆安然。
妇女怀孕后，终年不生，面色黄瘦，腹部大如斗，肌肤消瘦，常常两三年都不生产的，这是鬼胎。有的进入神庙山林，产生交感之念，都能招致邪祟结成胎孕。幸好其人不至于淫荡，见到邪祟惊惶失措，遇到交合时感到羞愧惭愧，那么邪祟就不能长久留恋，一旦交媾便离去，然而淫气妖氛已经结聚在腹中，于是形成鬼胎。起初人们尚未察觉，后来渐渐腹部变大。大概人身的气血运行不畅，内外相互包裹，就像怀孕的征兆，有类似血臌（以腹部胀大如鼓、皮色苍黄、脉络暴露为特征的病证）的形状，其实既不是胎也不是臌。治疗方法必须用逐秽的药物为主。但是人到了怀胎数年，即使不是鬼胎，其气血必然衰弱，何况并非真正的妊娠，则邪气非常旺盛，正气不敌邪气，虚弱可想而知，怎么可以用迅猛利落的药物直接用来祛除涤荡呢？自然应当从补益中兼以驱逐才是得法。方剂用荡鬼汤：
雷丸（三钱） 大黄（一两） 红花（三钱） 枳壳（一钱） 厚朴（一钱） 桃仁（二十粒） 当归（一两）
人参（一两） 牛膝（三钱） 丹皮（三钱） 水煎服。一剂后腹部必定大声鸣响，泻出恶物半桶，再服用第二煎，又泻出恶物而痊愈，绝对不可使用第三剂。
此方用雷丸来祛除秽浊，又得到大黄的扫除作用，辅以红花、厚朴等药，都是善于行气攻下的品种，那么什么邪气能留在腹中，自然尽情驱逐排出。然而用人参、当归来补益气血，那么邪气去除而正气又不受损伤，否则单用雷丸、大黄来迅猛下泄，必然有血崩气脱的危害。倘若有人自知是鬼胎，像处女寡妇这样的人，一旦成形，虽然邪气很盛，但真气未散失，可以使用岐天师新传的红黄霹雳散：红花半斤，大黄五钱，雷丸三钱，水煎服，也能下胎。然而未免过于损伤血气，不如荡鬼汤，有益无损更为佳妙。这也在于人斟酌而善于使用罢了。
使用追祟丹也神效。

Women who conceive but do not deliver for a full year, presenting with a sallow and emaciated complexion, an abdomen enlarged to the size of a dou (a traditional unit of volume), wasted skin and muscles, and often failing to give birth for two or three years, are suffering from "Ghost Fetus" (Guǐ Tāi). Entering temples or mountains and forests and generating thoughts of sexual union can all attract malevolent spirits to form a fetus. Fortunately, if the individual is not excessively licentious, and upon seeing the spirit feels panic, and upon encountering coitus feels shame and embarrassment, the malevolent spirit cannot linger long; after one act of intercourse, it departs. However, the lascivious qi and demonic aura have already condensed in the abdomen, thus forming the Ghost Fetus. Initially, people do not notice, but later the abdomen gradually enlarges. This is because the qi and blood in the human body fail to circulate properly, wrapping internally and externally, resembling the signs of pregnancy, with a shape similar to Blood Distension (Xuè Gǔ - a condition characterized by abdominal distension like a drum, yellowish skin, and visible collateral vessels), yet it is neither a fetus nor distension. The treatment method must primarily employ drugs that purge filth. However, when a person has carried a fetus for several years, even if it were not a Ghost Fetus, their qi and blood would inevitably be depleted. Moreover, since it is not a true pregnancy, the pathogenic qi is extremely vigorous, and the healthy qi is unable to resist it, making the debility obvious. How could one use swift and purgative drugs directly to dispel and cleanse? It is necessary to adopt a strategy of tonifying while purging. The prescription used is Dangui Tang (Ghost-Scouring Decoction):
*Pleurotus tuber* (Sanqian, 3 qian) *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* (Dahuang, 1 liang) *Carthami Flos* (Honghua, 3 qian) *Aurantii Fructus Immaturus* (Zhiqiao, 1 qian) *Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex* (Houpo, 1 qian) *Persicae Semen* (Taoren, 20 grains) *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* (Danggui, 1 liang)
*Ginseng Radix* (Renshen, 1 liang) *Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix* (Niuxi, 3 qian) *Moutan Cortex* (Danpi, 3 qian) Decoct in water and take orally. After one dose, the abdomen will certainly rumble loudly, evacuating half a bucket of foul matter. Take the second decoction again, evacuate more foul matter, and recover. Do not use a third dose under any circumstances.
This formula uses *Pleurotus tuber* to remove filth, aided by the sweeping action of *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma*, assisted by herbs such as *Carthami Flos* and *Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex*, all of which are potent agents for promoting circulation and attacking stagnation. Thus, what pathogenic factor could remain in the abdomen? Naturally, it will be thoroughly expelled. However, by using *Ginseng Radix* and *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* to tonify qi and blood, the pathogens are removed without injuring the healthy qi. Otherwise, using only *Pleurotus tuber* and *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* for rapid purgation would inevitably lead to the harm of hemorrhage and qi collapse. If individuals are aware they have a Ghost Fetus, such as unmarried women or widows, once the formation occurs, although the pathogenic qi is very strong, the true qi remains intact. In such cases, the newly transmitted Honghuang Pilei San (Red-Yellow Thunderbolt Powder) by Master Qi may be used: *Carthami Flos* (8 liang), *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* (5 qian), *Pleurotus tuber* (3 qian), decocted in water and taken orally, which can also expel the fetus. However, this inevitably causes excessive damage to blood and qi. It is not as superior as Dangui Tang, which benefits without causing harm. Ultimately, it depends on careful consideration and appropriate usage.
Using Zhuisui Dan (Spirit-Chasing Pill) is also miraculous.

Decoct in water and take orally. After one dose, the fetus ruptures; a second dose is unnecessary. After evacuating the foul matter, use only *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* (3 liang) and *Carthami Flos* (1 liang), decocted in water and taken orally. Naturally, the stale blood will be cleared, and new blood generated. Use continuously for four doses, and one can rejoice in safety and well-being.
