Treats abdominal pain, difficulty in urination, heaviness and pain in the four limbs, and spontaneous diarrhea caused by Shaoyin cold damage (Shaoyin Cold Syndrome); this indicates the presence of water qi (fluid retention). The patient may also experience cough or vomiting; this decoction is indicated. It also treats cases where, after sweating therapy for Taiyang disease (Taiyang Syndrome), the sweat does not resolve the condition, fever persists, palpitations occur below the heart, dizziness arises, muscles twitch, and the body trembles as if about to fall to the ground.
Fuling (Poria), Shaoyao (White Peony Root), Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) (each 3 liang), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) (2 liang), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Lateralis Radix) (1 piece, prepared). Add 8 sheng of water, boil to obtain 3 sheng, remove the dregs, and take warm.
Treats Shaoyin disease manifesting as body pain, cold hands and feet, bone and joint pain, deep pulse, a neutral sensation in the mouth, and aversion to cold on the back.
Fuzi (Raw, sliced, 2 pieces), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (2 liang), Fuling (Poria), Shaoyao (White Peony Root) (each 3 liang), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) (4 liang). Add 8 sheng of water, boil to obtain 3 sheng, remove the dregs... (Text ends here)
Zhenwu Tang uses cooked Fuzi, with Fuling, Baizhu, Shaoyao, and Shengjiang interacting. Its purpose is to strengthen the spleen/stomach (Chongtu), support yang, and drain water pathogens, addressing the water counterflow and yang deficiency characteristic of Shaoyin disease. (Note: When the true yang of the kidney is abundant...)
Pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and heavy limbs (all are diseases of the spleen and stomach, as water overacts on earth). Palpitations and dizziness (water qi harassing the heart), muscle twitching (yang qi about to perish), while also being able to protect the righteous qi.
(Additional note: The difference lies only in whether Fuzi is used raw or cooked and its dosage; the distinction between tonifying yang and anchoring yin hinges solely on the rotation between Renshen and Shengjiang. Great attention should be paid to such details.) If Renshen replaces Shengjiang, the function shifts from warming and dispersing to warming and tonifying. (Zhenwu Tang uses Shengjiang but not Renshen, aiming to warm and disperse to drive out water qi. Fuzi Tang removes Shengjiang...)
(Liu Wansu's *Suwen Bingji Qi Yi Baoming Ji*) Treats watery diarrhea due to deficiency-cold, cold sweats, and faint pulse, even vomiting; this is an acute condition. It is also suitable for sudden diarrhea in summer heat leading to collapse of yang.
Fuzi (Aconite Lateralis Radix), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger Rhizome), Zhi Gancao (Prepared Licorice Root), Guigui (Cinnamon Twig), Gaoliangjiang (Galangal Rhizome) (each 5 qian), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber) (2 liang). Grind into fine powder. Take 3-5 qian per dose, with 2 zhan of Jiangshui (fermented grain water), boil to 1 zhan, remove dregs, and take hot.
Hejian Jiangshui San (Riverbank Fermented Water Powder) treats vomiting and diarrhea with faint pulse, cold sweating, and collapse of yang. The formula contains Fuzi, Ganjiang, Banxia, Gancao, Guigui, Gaoliangjiang (This is Sini Tang plus Guigui assisting Fuzi, plus...) at that time to take... stir and mix, summer heat dampness... month, not...
