男蔚按:肺为华盖,各脏之气皆上熏于肺,只有胃肠之气下降而不向上干扰肺脏,所以肺是清肃之脏而受益。
(See above.) Treats abdominal fullness and body pain following diarrhea. First, warm the interior, then attack the exterior. To warm the interior, Sini Tang (Four Reversal Decoction) is indicated. To attack the exterior, Guizhi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction) is indicated.
(See the section on Diseases of Pregnant Women.)
(See the section on Spasm Disease.) Treats cases where all three pulse positions are level after diarrhea, but pressure on the epigastrium reveals hardness; this formula is indicated. Treats cases where the pulse is slow and slippery during diarrhea, indicating excess. Since the diarrhea has not ceased, urgent purgation is required; this decoction is indicated. Treats cases where the pulse is surprisingly slippery during diarrhea, indicating that there is something to be expelled; purgation leads to recovery; this decoction is indicated. Treats cases where diarrhea has resolved but recurs at the same time of year, month, day, or hour, due to incomplete resolution of the pathogen; this decoction is indicated.

Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma)
Treats diarrhea accompanied by lung pain; this decoction is indicated.
Zishen (Scutellariae Barbatae Herba) (half jin), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (three liang)
Take the above two ingredients, add five sheng of water, first boil Zishen to obtain two sheng, then add Gancao, and boil to obtain one and a half sheng. Divide into three doses and take warm.
The song states: What injury causes diarrhea with lung pain? The upward invasion of turbid qi should be blamed on the stomach and intestines. (The Lung and Large Intestine are exterior-interior related.) Eight liang of Zishen paired with three liang of Gancao, employing the method of treating obstruction with unblocking agents.
Nan Wei notes: The Lung is the canopy; the qi of all organs steams upward to it. Only the qi of the stomach and intestines descends and does not invade the Lung upward. Thus, the Lung is a clear and descending organ and benefits from this.
