Ge Shu (Diaphragm-Shu, BL17), (see Phlegm section); Zi Gong (Purple Palace, REN15) and Yu Tang (Jade Hall, REN16); (both see Heart-Fire restlessness section). Treat bone pain. (*Ming Tang Jing* [Illustrated Classic of Acupoints]). Shang Guan (Upper Gate, GB12) governs pulling bone pain. (*Qian Jin Fang* [Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold] sees convulsions.) For bone pain, moxa Jue Gu (Absolute Bone, GB39) for 50 moxa cones. (see Upper Qi section). Shang Qiu (Shangqiu, SP5) governs bone-bi with vexation and fullness. Ge Shu (Diaphragm-Shu, BL17) governs skin, flesh, and bone pain. (see Taiyang Cold-Heat section). Tai Bai (Great White, SP3) treats bone pain. (see Taiyang Headache section). Fu Liu (Returning Stream, KI7) treats bone cold-heat. (see Cold-Heat section). For cold pain in the bone marrow, moxicate Shang Lian (Upper Liang, ST37) for 70 moxa cones. (*Qian Jin Fang*). The meeting point of bones is Da Zhu (Great Pivot, BL11). (Contraindicated for moxibustion). Bone diseases are treated at this point. The meeting point of marrow is Jue Gu (Absolute Bone, GB39). Marrow diseases are treated at this point. (*Nan Jing Shu* [Commentary on the Classic of Difficult Issues]). When the disease is in the bone marrow, Qin Yue Ren (Bian Que) considered that even the God of Life could do nothing about it. Thus, if there is disease in the bone marrow, the condition is severe. However, *Ba Shi Yi Nan Jing Shu* states: "The meeting point of bones is Da Zhu; bone diseases are treated here. The meeting point of marrow is Jue Gu; marrow diseases are treated here." This indicates that acupuncture and moxibustion methods still exist; how can one abstain from them? Nevertheless, *Ming Tang Shang Jing* [Upper Classic of Acupoints] states: "Da Zhu is contraindicated for moxibustion." Whereas *Tong Ren Jing* [Bronze Man Classic] states it can be moxicated for seven cones. *Ming Tang Xia Jing* [Lower Classic of Acupoints] states it can be moxicated for five cones. *Su Wen* [Basic Questions] agrees. All classics concur, except *Ming Tang Jing* alone differs. Moxibustion is permissible. Moreover, *Ming Tang Jing* originally stated that even forbidden points allow three cones of moxibustion. If the moxa cone is small, twelve or twenty-one cones are also acceptable. Furthermore, moxiquating Shang Lian (Upper Liang, ST37) and Jue Gu (Absolute Bone, GB39) etc., is especially good.

Regarding human tinnitus, physicians all consider it caused by Kidney deficiency. This is indeed true. However, some cases arise from Qi dysfunction, and some from excessive mental exertion; they cannot be generalized. If one wishes to avoid this affliction, it is essentially about not allowing the Kidney to become deficient, and not allowing Qi to become disordered nor overusing the mind. Or, for slight tinnitus, simply place a scallion tube in the ear, allowing Qi to penetrate, and the ringing will cease naturally.
