Jiguan (KI15) is located 8 fen anterior to the lower border of the ear.
For sudden onset of stroke with lockjaw (mouth closed tightly and unable to open), moxibustion on these two acupoints for five moxa cones (Zhuang) will result in recovery. For facial paralysis or deviation of the mouth, apply moxibustion according to the patient's age on both left and right sides. (From *Qianjin Yifang*)
Bailao (EX-BN6) is marked at the midpoint between the Dazhui (GV14) acupoint and the hairline (2 cun). Mark this midpoint, then measure horizontally from this point to both ends until reaching the extremities; these endpoints are the acupoints.
Indications: Scrofula (Luo Li). Moxibustion of seven Zhuang yields miraculous effects.
Additionally, for scrofula presenting as a string of pearls (nodular masses), moxibustion on Bailao can be applied for three to seven Zhuang, up to one hundred Zhuang. Alternatively, moxibustion on Zhoujian (EX-UE9) for one hundred Zhuang may be used. Furthermore, carefully identify the initial nodule, pierce its center with a needle, and prepare a moxa cone by mixing realgar powder (Xiong Huang) with prepared mugwort (Shu Ai). Apply moxibustion directly on the nodule at the puncture site for three to seven Zhuang; other nodules will subsequently dissipate.
Longhan (EX-CV3) is located 1.5 cun above Jiutui (CV15).
Indications: Heart pain and upward rushing of cold qi. Moxibustion of one hundred Zhuang is indicated; acupuncture is contraindicated. (From *Qianjin Yifang*)
Rushang (EX-UE10):
Treats mastitis (Ru Yong) and engorgement of breasts due to milk stasis (Du Ru). Measure the width of the mouth horizontally with a cord. Using this measurement, extend upwards from the nipple. The point where the end of the cord reaches is the acupoint. Apply moxibustion for fourteen Zhuang (two times seven).
Tonggu (ST15? Note: Context suggests an extra point near breast, likely referring to a specific local point described in text, often associated with ST15 area but distinct in some texts. Text says "Under nipple 2 cun"):
Located 2 cun below the nipple.
Indications: Heart pain, upward rushing of evil qi, and acute hypochondriac pain. Moxibustion of fifty Zhuang is indicated. (From *Qianjin Fang*)
Yexia (EX-UE11):
Treats hiccups (Yue), belching (Yi), and obstruction of Qi in the chest and diaphragm. Moxibustion is applied to the depression under the axillary hair, adjacent to the ribs, for fifty Zhuang, yielding excellent results. (From *Qianjin Yifang*)
Pangting (EX-UE12):
Located in the fourth intercostal space under the axilla, at a level corresponding to the posterior aspect of the breast, 2 cun behind the nipple, in a depression. Commonly known as "Zhu Bu". It is taken in correspondence with the Yexia point.
Indications: Sudden attack by evil pathogens, Feishi (Flying Corpse) and Dunzhu (Escaping Injection) syndromes, characterized by fullness and distension in the chest and hypochondrium. Acupuncture depth is 5 fen; moxibustion of fifty Zhuang is indicated.
Leitou (EX-UE13):
Treats Zhengjia (masses) and Piji (accumulations). If the disease is on the left, moxa is applied on the left; if on the right, on the right. The head of the first curved rib, near the second rib below, is the application site. The head of the second rib, near the flesh moving forward between the third ribs, is also an application site. Start with three Zhuang on the first day, five Zhuang on the second day, and seven Zhuang thereafter, cycling repeatedly until ten Zhuang is reached. Garlic-mediated moxibustion (Da Suan) must be used.
Lexia (EX-UE14):
Treats Feishi and various Zhu syndromes. Measure the distance between the two nipples with a cord, fold it in half, and extend outward from the nipple until the end of the cord falls into the intercostal space (Lexia); this is the acupoint. Moxibustion Zhuang count corresponds to the patient's age. (*Qianjin Fang* states three or seven Zhuang; for males, select the left side; for females, the right side.)
Regarding attacks by Zhi Zhuang, Feishi, Dunshi, Fengshi, and Shizhu, symptoms include abdominal distension and painful urgency, dyspnea, Qi rushing upward to the heart and chest, swelling or protrusion of the hypochondrium or ankles, or spasms pulling on the waist and spine. Moxibustion is applied 3 cun behind the nipple, selecting the left side for males and the right side for females, starting with fourteen Zhuang (two times seven). If ineffective, increase the number of Zhuang for better results.
Ruxia (EX-UE15):
Located exactly 1 cun below the nipple.
Indications: Epigastric pain. Combined with Ganshu (BL18), Pishu (BL20), Xiasanli (EX-LE1), Ge shu (BL17), Taichong (LR3), and Duyin (EX-SP1). If Ruxia is absent, moxibustion of twenty Zhuang is applied to each of the other points.
