In Shaoyin disease (Diseases of the Heart and Kidney), appearing within one or two days, if the mouth feels neutral (no dryness or heat) and there is aversion to cold in the back, moxibustion should be applied, and Fuzi Tang (Aconite Decoction) is the primary treatment. In Shaoyin disease, if there is body pain, cold hands and feet, bone joint pain, and a deep pulse, Shu Fuzi Tang (Atractylodes Macrocephala and Aconite Decoction) is the primary treatment.
After eight or nine days of Cold Damage, if Wind and Dampness are entangled, causing severe and vexatious body pain with an inability to turn over, without vomiting or thirst, and with a floating, deficient, and choppy pulse, Guizhi Fuzi Tang (Cinnamon Twig and Aconite Decoction) is used. Suppose the Stomach channel combines with the Taiyang channel (Taiyang Disease), and the pulse is floating: add Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig) if there is spontaneous sweating, or Mahuang (Ephedra) if there is no sweating, because of accompanying pain in the head, neck, limbs, and joints.
Suppose the Stomach channel combines with the Shaoyang channel (Shaoyang Disease), and the pulse is wiry: add Chaihu (Bupleurum) and Gan Mugua (Dried Chaenomeles Fruit) because of pain under the ribs.
Suppose the Stomach channel combines with the Yangming channel (Yangming Disease), and the pulse is excess/solid: add Dahuang (Rhubarb Root and Rhizome) because of obstruction of both large and small bowels following vomiting and diarrhea.
Suppose the Stomach channel combines with the Taiyin channel (Taiyin Disease), and the pulse is deep and fine: add Shaoyao (Peony Root) and Gan Jiang (Dried Ginger) because of abdominal pain and heaviness of the body.

The formulas for Jueyin channel diseases include Wuzhuyu Tang (Evodia Decoction) and Danggui Sini Tang (Angelica Sinensis and Cinnamon Twig Decoction).
