将栝蒌子淘洗控干，炒至香熟，在瓦片上焙至白色，研为细末，用酒调服一匕的量，服药后面向下卧片刻。（出自《证类本草》）

Lepidopteridis Folium (Shiwei, roasted and hairs removed)
Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin) (each two liang)

Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao)

Formula for treating postpartum dribbling stranguria with urinary obstruction.
Use Abutilonis Semen (Kuizi) one he, Mirabilite (Puxiao) eight fen, and two sheng of water. Decoct until eight he remain, then dissolve the Mirabilite and take orally. (Source: *Bencao Gangmu*, Vol. 16)
Formula for treating postpartum polyuria accompanied by thirst: Gualou Decoction.

Formula for treating absence of lactation.
Take Trichosanthis Radix (Gualou Gen) sliced, one sheng, and four sheng of wine. Boil for three boils, filter out the dregs, and take half sheng per dose, three times daily. (Source: *Yixin Fang*, Vol. 23)
Formula to promote lactation.
Wash and dry Trichosanthis Semen (Gualou Zi), stir-fry until fragrant and cooked, roast on a tile until white, and grind into powder. Mix with wine and administer one bi (a spoonful measure). Lie prone for a short time after ingestion. (Source: *Zhenglei Bencao*)
