Wash the affected area with hot vinegar (the temperature should not be too high nor too low), inserting the protruding tissue back in as you wash. Externally, apply freshly skinned chicken skin while it is still warm, and subsequently administer Yuzhen San (玉真散).
For treatment methods regarding the ears, nose, and other parts, refer to the preceding text.
Reattach the finger, sprinkle fine powder of Suanmu (Sappanwood) on it, and securely bind it externally with a silkworm cocoon. It will heal in a few days.
Another prescription: Chew old ginger until melted and apply it to the injury, wrapping it with new cotton. This method is simple yet remarkably effective; do not underestimate it due to its simplicity.
Grind fir wood charcoal into an extremely fine powder. Melt white rock sugar by steaming until fully liquid. Mix the charcoal powder evenly with the sugar solution, spread it onto paper, and apply while hot. Whether for cracked bones, injured tendons, severed fingers, or broken feet, healing occurs within a few days. This has been tested repeatedly with consistent results; do not neglect it. Avoid raw, cold, and "fa-wu" (stimulating/triggering foods). If fir wood charcoal is unavailable, charred fir wood can be used as a substitute.
Another prescription: For severe pain from bone fractures, first take one cun of Perilla root (Fengxianhua Gen), preferably plump ones, grind it with wine, and ingest it. The pain will cease even when massaging the area, allowing subsequent medication to be applied. Alternatively, apply an analgesic (see prescriptions for carbuncles and toxins), which also eliminates pain.
Another prescription: Danggui (Angelica sinensis) 7.5 qian, Chuanxiong (Ligusticum chuanxiong) 5 qian, Rushen (Frankincense) and Moyao (Myrrh) each 2.5 qian, Muxiang (Aucklandia) 1 qian, Chuanwu (Aconitum carmichaelii) 4.5 qian, Huangdan (Lead oxide) 6 liang, Gusuibu (Drynaria fortunei) 5 qian, ancient copper coins (prepared according to previous methods) 3 qian. Grind all into a fine powder, add 1.5 liang of sesame oil, mix into a paste, and apply to the affected area.
Another prescription: One horn from a castrated bull (scrape off one layer after drying it over fire), an appropriate amount of millet flour (mustard flour is also acceptable), and the inner white bark of elm trees, boiled into a thin paste.
Trees... (The original text here appears incomplete or contains formatting errors, retaining only the word "trees").
Another prescription: Heat ancient copper coins until red-hot, quench them in good vinegar, reheat, and quench again. Repeat this process seven times. Grind into powder, take 2 qian washed down with wine (3 qian for severe injuries); the bone will naturally reconnect. If ancient copper coins are unavailable, new copper coins may be used, though they are less effective. There was a case where a chicken's leg was broken; following this method, it healed perfectly. Upon cooking the chicken to verify, copper residue was found encircling the fracture site. Another case involved a person with a broken foot bone who recovered after taking copper powder with wine. Years later, upon exhumation, copper residue was still observed binding the tibia. Truly a miraculous prescription.
Another prescription: Da Hong Yueyuehong (Rosa chinensis var. spontanea), collect petals, dry in shade, and grind into powder. Administer 1 li per year of age, mixed with good wine, and sleep under covers for one night... (The original text here appears incomplete, ending abruptly after "one").
Another prescription: Take one rooster weighing approximately 10 liang (white feathers with black bones are better). Break its neck by hand, cut it off with a bamboo knife without washing with water, dry it... (The original text here appears incomplete, ending abruptly after "dry")... tonify... up... (The original text here appears incomplete and fragmented).
Another prescription: Wujapi (Eucommia ulmoides bark) 4 liang, one small male chicken, remove feathers but keep bones and blood, do not touch water. Pound together until very mushy, apply to the fracture site. The bone will make cracking sounds; stop applying the medicine once the sounds cease. Delaying may result in excessive bone growth.
Another prescription: Take 1-2 live crabs, crush them raw, and take with boiling wine. This is extremely effective.
Another prescription: Collect broken tiles from the base of walls along roadsides where people frequently urinate over long periods. Wash clean, heat until red-hot, quench in good vinegar, reheat, and quench again. Repeat five times. Scrape into a fine powder. Take 3 qian per dose, washed down with good wine. Even for unbearable pain from bone and tendon fractures, this is highly effective.
