夏枯草、犀角、羚羊角、黑栀仁各一钱，元参、知母各一钱五分，连翘、银花各二钱，
生甘草六分，水煎服，数剂即愈。虚火者忌用。
有脓而不溃烂，或似脓非脓，痛不可忍者，此虫牙也。照虫牙第一方治之。
此名牙宣症，又名牙衄，乃阴虚热极所致。发时血出不止，若不急治难救。用黄豆渣（
即豆腐店中取过黄豆浆之渣，无则用生黄豆嚼融，亦可。如不见效，仍用豆渣为妥，并以黄
豆为佳，黑豆不效。店中亦有黑豆者，须问明以免误事），敷之，立止如神。内服六味地黄
汤，（见内外备用诸方门），去山萸肉不用。有人患此，血出两日不止，热甚垂危，照此治之
，其病若失。此治牙衄第一神方也。载福建某府志。

下，立愈。如血出不止，即用前豆渣方治之。
又方∶马粪烧灰存性擦之，立愈。
又方∶萝卜，含口内嚼之，热则再换另嚼，极效。
贯众三钱，黄连二钱，煎水，候温加顶上梅花冰片二分，时时漱之。
此名齿壅症。用生地黄汁一钟，皂角数片。将皂角烧热淬地黄汁内，再烧再淬，以汁尽
为度，晒干研末敷之，即缩。或用朴硝末敷之亦消。

又一方：将马粪烧成灰，保留药性，擦在患处，立刻痊愈。
又一方：萝卜，含在口中咀嚼，变热后再换另一块继续嚼，效果极佳。
贯众三钱，黄连二钱，煎水，待温度适宜后加入顶上梅花冰片二分，经常含漱。
这种病症名为齿壅症。使用生地黄汁一杯，皂角数片。将皂角烧热后淬入地黄汁中，再烧再淬，直到汁液耗尽为止，晒干后研成粉末敷在患处，肿胀即刻消退。或者使用朴硝末敷在患处也能消除。
Elderflower (Prunellae Spica), Rhinoceros Horn (Rhinocerotis Cornu), Antelope Horn (Saigae Tataricae Cornu), and Gardenia Seed (Gardeniae Fructus) each 1 qian; Scrophularia Root (Scrophulariae Radix) and Anemarrhena Rhizome (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) each 1.5 qian; Forsythia Fruit (Forsythiae Fructus) and Honeysuckle Flower (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) each 2 qian; Raw Licorice Root (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) 0.6 qian. Decoct in water and take orally. It will heal after a few doses. Contraindicated for patients with deficiency-fire syndrome.
If there is pus but no ulceration, or it appears like pus but is not, and the pain is unbearable, this is dental caries (tooth decay). Treat according to the first formula for dental caries.
This condition is named "Ya Xuan" (Gum Recession/Periodontitis), also known as "Ya Nu" (Gum Bleeding). It is caused by extreme heat due to yin deficiency. During an attack, bleeding does not stop. If not treated urgently, it may be difficult to save the patient. Apply soybean dregs (i.e., the residue left after filtering soy milk in a tofu shop; if unavailable, chew raw soybeans until mushy can be used as an alternative; however, if ineffective, it is still advisable to use soybean dregs, preferably from yellow soybeans, as black soybeans are ineffective. Shops may sell black soybeans, so clarify to avoid mistakes) to the affected area. The bleeding will stop immediately with miraculous effect. Internally, administer Liuwei Dihuang Tang (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill) (see section on miscellaneous formulas), omitting Cornus Fruit (Corni Fructus). A patient suffered from this condition with continuous bleeding for two days, severe fever, and critical condition. Following this treatment, the illness disappeared completely. This is the premier divine formula for treating gum bleeding, recorded in the local gazetteer of a prefecture in Fujian Province.
The previous symptom refers to continuous bleeding from one or two interdental spaces. This case involves bleeding from all teeth, intermittent in nature. Use Lycium Fruit (Lycii Fructus) ground into powder, decocted in water for rinsing the mouth, then swallowed. Healing occurs immediately. If bleeding persists, use the aforementioned soybean dreg formula immediately.
Another prescription: Burn horse manure to ash, preserving its medicinal properties, and apply to the affected area. Healing occurs immediately.
Another prescription: Radish. Chew it in the mouth. Replace with another piece when it becomes warm. Extremely effective.
Cyperus Rhizome (Cyperi Rhizoma) 3 qian, Coptis Rhizome (Coptidis Rhizoma) 2 qian. Decoct in water. When warm, add Borneol (Borneolum Syntheticum) 0.2 fen. Rinse frequently.
This condition is named "Chi Yong" (Dental Abscess/Swelling). Use one cup of fresh Rehmannia Root juice (Rehmanniae Radix) and several pieces of Gleditsia Sinensis Pod (Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus). Heat the Gleditsia pod and quench it into the Rehmannia juice. Repeat heating and quenching until the juice is exhausted. Dry, grind into powder, and apply to the affected area. Swelling will retract immediately. Alternatively, apply Natrii Sulfas (Mirabilite) powder to resolve the swelling.
This condition is named "Sui Yi" (Marrow Overflow/Dental Pulp Hyperplasia). Use genuine Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) ground into powder, mixed with human milk, steamed, and taken orally. Healing occurs immediately. This is recorded in Sun Simiao's *Qianjin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold).
