Burning pomelo peel into ash and taking it with water is highly effective. Pomelos are most abundant in the Liangguang region and rare in other provinces; Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum (Ju Hong, 橘红) can be used as a substitute.
Another prescription: Take six toads, tie their four legs, and gently rub the belly of the toad against the shiny, swollen area of the patient's abdomen several times. Then take another toad and rub it in the same manner. Continue until six toads have been used, at which point the disease will be cured. However, since the toad's eyebrows contain Chan Su (Toad Venom), care must be taken to prevent it from splashing into the eyes and causing injury. It is advisable to cover the patient's eyes with a silk cloth. After use, release the toads into water immediately so they can expel toxic vapors and save their lives; this is of utmost importance.
This condition initially discharges foul-smelling fluid, and after a long time, pus is discharged. There is no swelling or pain, and it may persist for years without healing. Use Chive Leaves (Jiu Cai Ye, 韭菜叶) and Biota Leaf (Bai Bai Ye, 扁柏叶), crush them together, extract one cup of juice, add one cup of Child's Urine (Tong Bian, 童便), steam until hot, and drink. For external application, use Calamina (Lu Gan Shi, 炉甘石) that floats on water, soak it in good vinegar for a day and night, dry it over a tile, grind it into powder, and apply externally. If there is no improvement, consult a famous physician; do not neglect it.
Long Gu (Dragon Bone, 龙骨) soaked in vinegar and calcined until charred, then ground into powder for external application. Alternatively, Chi Shi Zhi (Red Halloysite, 赤石脂) ground into powder for external application is also effective. Or, treat according to the prescription for pus discharge from the umbilicus mentioned above, which is even better.
