名牛头痈，肿而红者是。连须葱头切碎，用糯米饭乘热拌敷，重者五六次必消。或照痈
毒各方治之。
山楂肉、白蒺藜各等分，蒸晒为末，蜜丸梧子大。每服三钱，白汤下，服一二斤，无不
愈者。
此疮生在两膝，亦有生在两手弯者，眼口能动能拿，此系冤孽所致，急宜改过诚心告解
。再用雷丸三钱，轻粉、真茯苓各一钱，各为细末，敷上即愈。此岐伯天师方也。
又方∶贝母末敷之亦效。并参看阴疽孽报（见阴疽门末）
暑天腹痛转筋名霍乱症，见霍乱门。
黄蜡半斤，融化，摊旧绸上，随患大小，乘热缠脚，须当脚心，便着袜裹之，冷则随换
。并贴两手心。
此寒极也。若不急治，痛冲入心难救。急用木瓜、茱萸各二钱，食盐五分，水煎服，即
愈。
又方∶锅底烟子（以烧草者为佳）一钱和酒服。
又方∶用河边大水后所挂树上浮苹，煎洗二三次即愈。
生小腿面。此疮多因湿热而起，又被手甲风毒抓伤，破烂淋漓，缠绵不已，欲求速愈，
切忌手抓，自易痊也。初起者用浓茶洗净，再用好干茶叶嚼融（将口漱净再嚼）敷之。
又方∶龙眼核（桂圆核亦可）去核外之皮，研细，用油调敷。
又方∶木耳瓦上焙枯，研末敷。
以上三方如不见效，即照后方治之。
白油膏∶治 疮数十年不愈者，数日即可收功，捷如影响。并治秃头疮、坐板疮及一切
年久湿热诸疮、脓血不止，久不收口等症。此方百发百中，神妙非常，乃 疮第一方也。真
桐油三两，防风、白芷各钱半，放油内泡一夜，入铁器内，慢火敷枯，去药沥净渣，将油再
熬。俟欲开时，用鸡蛋一个去壳，放油内炸至深黄色，去蛋不用。再将油慢熬，俟油色极明
，能照见人须眉，入白蜡六分，黄蜡四分溶化。赶紧用竹纸十余纸，乘热浸入油内，一张一
放一起，冷透火气。须张张隔开，风前吹透，若放在一处，虽数日火气难退，粘贴毒瓦斯内逼
，难以收功。视疮大小，裁纸粘贴，顷刻脓粘满纸，弃去再换，一日换十余次，数日脓尽，
肉满生肌（脓尽后不贴，亦可生肌），脓多者黄蜡六分，白蜡五分，不生肌者白蜡六分，黄
蜡
黄香膏∶治 疮，屡试如神，并治一切痈毒大疮、日久不愈亦效。松香白水煮透，取出
放冷水内搓洗数十下，再煮再洗，如此九次，倒地待冷取起。每一两加轻粉三钱，银朱一钱
，白蜜少许，炼老成珠，加菜油少许，炖热搅匀，看疮之大小作饼，置疮上，将绸条扎住。
一周时取下，用滚水搓洗极净，翻转再贴，周时取下，再洗再贴。只要一个药饼直贴到好，
不须另换。待疮好，将此药饼洗净收好，如遇此疮，再与别人贴，仍前一周时一洗一贴。此
饼若医过三人之后，粘贴即好，若医过十人，粘贴更能速愈，奇绝妙绝。
夹纸膏∶专治 疮。樟脑三钱，铜绿一钱，用猪板油和药捣烂，以油纸夹之贴患处一二
日，翻转贴三四日，脓尽而愈。如四日后脓尚未尽，再换一纸，无不愈矣。

另一个方子：用贝母粉末外敷也有效。并参考阴疽孽报（见阴疽门末尾）。
暑天腹痛伴转筋称为霍乱症，详见霍乱门。
黄蜡半斤，融化后摊在旧绸缎上，根据患部大小，趁热缠绕脚部，必须覆盖脚心，然后穿上袜子包裹，变冷则随时更换。同时贴在两手心。
这是寒气极盛的表现。如果不紧急治疗，疼痛冲入心脏则难以救治。急用木瓜、吴茱萸各二钱，食盐五分，水煎服，即可痊愈。
另一个方子：锅底烟灰（以烧草产生的为佳）一钱，和酒服用。
另一个方子：用河边大水退去后挂在树上的浮萍，煎汤清洗二三次即可痊愈。
生在小腿表面。这种疮多因湿热引起，又被手甲风毒抓伤，导致皮肤破烂流脓，缠绵难愈，想要快速痊愈，切忌用手抓挠，自然容易康复。初起时用浓茶洗净，再用优质的干茶叶嚼烂（先将口漱干净再嚼）敷在患处。
另一个方子：龙眼核（桂圆核也可以），去掉核外的皮，研成细末，用油调匀后外敷。
另一个方子：木耳在瓦片上焙焦枯，研成粉末外敷。
以上三个方子如果不见效，就按照后面的方子治疗。
白油膏：治疗疮疡数十年不愈者，数日即可见效，迅速如影随形。同时治疗秃头疮、坐板疮以及一切年久湿热引起的各种疮疡、脓血不止、久不收口等症状。此方百发百中，神妙非常，是治疗此类疮疡的第一方。真桐油三两，防风、白芷各一两半，放入油中浸泡一夜，倒入铁器内，用慢火熬至药材枯焦，滤去药渣，再将油重新熬制。等到油将要沸腾时，用一个鸡蛋去壳，放入油中炸至深黄色，取出鸡蛋不用。再将油慢火熬制，等到油色极其清澈，能照见人须眉时，加入白蜡六分，黄蜡四分使其融化。赶紧用十余张竹纸，趁热浸入油中，一张一张地浸提，冷却以去除火气。每张纸都要隔开，在风口吹透，如果堆放在一起，即使过几天火气也难以退去，会粘贴毒瓦斯内逼，难以收功。根据疮的大小，裁剪纸张粘贴，顷刻间脓液粘满纸张，丢弃后再换，一天更换十多次，数日后脓液排尽，肌肉生长（脓液排尽后不贴，也能生肌），脓多者用黄蜡六分，白蜡五分；不生肌者用白蜡六分，黄蜡四分。
黄香膏：治疗疮疡，屡试如神，同时治疗一切痈毒大疮、日久不愈也有效。松香用白水煮透，取出放入冷水中搓洗数十下，再煮再洗，如此九次，待其倒地冷却后取出。每一两松香加轻粉三钱，银朱一钱，少许白蜜，炼制成老珠状，加入少许菜油，炖热搅匀，根据疮的大小做成饼状，贴在疮上，用绸条扎紧。一周后取下，用滚水搓洗极净，翻转再贴，一周后取下，再洗再贴。只要一个药饼一直贴到痊愈，不需要另外更换。等疮好了，将此药饼洗净收好，如果遇到同样的疮，再给别人贴，仍然按之前的一周一洗一贴的方法。这个饼如果医治过三人之后，粘贴即好；如果医治过十人，粘贴更能加速痊愈，奇妙绝伦。
夹纸膏：专门治疗疮疡。樟脑三钱，铜绿一钱，用猪板油和药捣烂，用油纸夹住贴在患处一两天，翻转贴三四天，脓液排尽而痊愈。如果四天后脓液尚未排尽，再换一张纸，没有不痊愈的。
Named "Ox-Head Carbuncle" (Niutou Yong), characterized by swelling and redness. Crush scallion heads with roots, mix with hot glutinous rice paste for topical application; severe cases will resolve after five to six applications. Alternatively, treat according to other formulas for carbuncles and toxins.
Equal parts of Hawthorn Fruit (Shanzha Rou) and Oriental Privet Seed (Bai Jili) are steamed, sun-dried, and powdered. Honey-pellets the size of a wu-tzu seed are made. Take three qian per dose, washed down with warm water. Ingesting one or two jin guarantees recovery.
This sore appears on both knees, or sometimes in the crooks of the elbows. The eyes and mouth remain mobile. This is attributed to karmic retribution; one should urgently repent and sincerely confess. Additionally, apply finely powdered Pillia Fruit (Lei Wan) 3 qian, Calomelas (Qing Fen) 1 qian, and Poria Cocos (Zhen Fuling) 1 qian topically for cure. This is a formula from the Heavenly Master Qibo.
Another formula: Apply Powdered Fritillaria Bulb (Beimu) topically; also effective. Refer to "Karmic Retribution of Yin Abscesses" (see end of Yin Abscess section).
Abdominal pain with muscle cramps during summer heat is called Cholera Syndrome (Huoluan Zheng); see Cholera section.
Melt half a jin of Yellow Beeswax (Huang La), spread it on old silk, and wrap it around the feet while hot, covering the sole, then wear socks to secure it. Replace when cold. Also apply to both palms.
This indicates extreme cold. If not treated urgently, pain rushing to the heart becomes incurable. Urgently decoct Papaya (Mu Gua) and Chinese Cornelian Cherry Fruit (Zhuyu) 2 qian each, with Salt (Yan Shi) 0.5 qian in water, and take orally for immediate cure.
Another formula: Consume 1 qian of soot from the bottom of the cooking pot (preferably from burning straw) mixed with wine.
Another formula: Decoct and wash with duckweed (Fuping) hanging on trees after heavy river floods; two or three washes ensure cure.
Occurs on the surface of the lower leg. These sores often arise from damp-heat and are scratched open by fingernails carrying wind-toxin, resulting in weeping, broken skin that lingers. To seek rapid recovery, strictly avoid scratching with hands; healing will follow naturally. At onset, cleanse with strong tea, then chew high-quality dry tea leaves (after rinsing the mouth well) and apply the paste topically.
Another formula: Remove the skin from outside Longan Seed (Longyan He) (or桂圆核 Guiyuan He), powder finely, and mix with oil for topical application.
Another formula: Roast Wood Ear Mushroom (Mu'er) on tiles until charred, powder, and apply topically.
If the above three formulas are ineffective, proceed to the following formulas.
White Oil Ointment (Bai You Gao): Treats sores unhealed for decades, achieving results in days, swift as an echo. Also treats bald head sores, sitting-board sores, and all chronic damp-heat sores, continuous pus and blood discharge, and non-healing wounds. This formula is infallible and miraculous, being the premier formula for such sores. Soak 3 liang of True Tung Oil (Tong You) with 1.5 qian each of Saposhnikovia Root (Fang Feng) and Angelica Dahurica (Baizhi) overnight. Boil slowly in an iron vessel until herbs are burnt out, strain clear. When the oil begins to boil, fry one shelled egg in it until deep yellow, remove egg. Continue slow boiling until the oil is extremely clear, reflecting eyebrows and beard. Add 6 fen White Beeswax (Bai La) and 4 fen Yellow Beeswax (Huang La) to melt. Quickly soak over ten sheets of bamboo paper into the hot oil, lifting one by one to cool and dissipate fire qi. Keep sheets separated and blow them in the wind to fully dry; if piled, fire qi remains trapped, causing toxin retention and hindering healing. Cut paper to fit the sore size, apply. Pus will adhere to the paper quickly; discard and replace. Change more than ten times a day. After several days, when pus is exhausted, flesh regenerates (flesh can regenerate even without pasting after pus exhaustion). For excessive pus, use 6 fen Huang La and 5 fen Bai La; for non-regenerating flesh, use 6 fen Bai La and [missing text] Huang La.
Yellow Resin Ointment (Huang Xiang Gao): Treats sores with divine efficacy, also effective for all large carbuncles and toxins that have lingered. Boach White Rosin (Song Xiang) in plain water until soft, remove, wash in cold water dozens of times, boil again, wash again. Repeat nine times. Let stand until cool, then retrieve. For every 1 liang of resin, add 3 qian Calomelas (Qing Fen), 1 qian Vermilion (Yin Zhu), and a little White Honey (Bai Mi). Refine into hard pearls, add a little Rapeseed Oil (Cai You), heat and stir evenly. Form into cakes sized to the sore, apply, and bind with silk strips. Remove after one week, wash thoroughly with boiling water, flip and reapply. Remove after another week, wash and reapply. As long as one cake is kept on until healed, no replacement is needed. Once healed, clean and store the cake. If used on others with similar sores, follow the same weekly wash-and-apply routine. If used on three people, it works immediately; if used on ten people, it accelerates healing further; truly miraculous.
Paper-Clamped Ointment (Jia Zhi Gao): Specifically for sores. Mix 3 qian Camphor (Zhang Nao) and 1 qian Verdigris (Tong Lv) with Pig Lard (Zhu Ban You) until smooth. Sandwich between oil paper and apply to the affected area for one to two days, flip and apply for three to four days. Cure occurs when pus is exhausted. If pus remains after four days, replace with a new sheet; cure is guaranteed.
