The lesions resemble a spider web, with unbearable itching. Use tofu skin (also known as dried tofu sheets), burn until charred but retain its medicinal properties, mix with sesame oil, and apply externally.
This condition causes the loss of eyebrows and hair, resembling leprosy, or there may be a sound like earthworms moving on the body at night. Boil several jin (approx. 500g) of salt in water to bathe the body several times, and internally drink one to two bowls of light salt water; this is extremely effective. Do not mistake it for leprosy. If it is truly leprosy, have the patient stand near the fire of a copper/iron stove; if their face turns red, it is leprosy; if greenish, it is not. Additionally, flat and sunken flesh between the thumb and index finger of both hands is also a sign.
The lesions resemble pearl-like granules, appearing in clusters or strings, either red or white. Upon rupture, they exude fluid, heal, and then recur. Use pangolin scales, bake them dry on a tile, grind into powder, mix with sesame oil, and apply topically. Even for cases lasting many years without healing, this method is miraculously effective.
*Zophorus* (also known as Saojiazi, colloquially called "oil-stealing roach", or cockroach). The sores initially appear like millet grains, gradually enlarging to the size of beans, and further developing into blister-like eruptions similar to those caused by hot branding irons.
Another prescription: Mix mud from a swallow's nest with pig bile, add wine, and apply externally. Alternatively, treat according to the various prescriptions for *Biaoju* toxin listed later.
A child aged five or six suddenly developed a single purple, shiny, grape-shaped nodule on the forehead, which rapidly spread throughout the body. An old man observed and stated: "This is Grape Ding Toxin; once nasal bleeding occurs, death is inevitable." Since the child continued to eat, drink, speak, and laugh normally, the family did not believe it. However, at midnight, the child died suddenly with blood gushing from the nose like a spring.
Another male patient suddenly developed a purple-grape-sized lump on his wrist and died after half a day due to nasal bleeding. There was no medicine that could save them. This is appended here to await prescriptions from knowledgeable physicians.
Another female patient, aged fourteen, developed a bean-sized growth on her soft wrist area, partially embedded in the flesh, red-purple in color, with severe pain. Various treatments were ineffective. Later, four liang (approx. 125g) of mercury were rubbed onto the area using two sheets of white paper, and the growth fell off naturally after three days. Considering these cases together, the previous symptoms might be treated similarly.
Since the aforementioned conditions are named Ding Toxin and present with nasal bleeding, it is undoubtedly due to internal accumulation of heat-toxin. If rubbing with mercury is ineffective, urgently treat according to the *Chrysanthemum Decoction* and *Vegetable Oil Decoction* found in the preceding sections on Carbuncle Toxin; this might save the patient. Additionally, apply powder of *Evodiae Fructus* (Wuzhuyu) mixed with hot vinegar to the soles of both feet, changing once daily. This is an excellent method to guide heat downward.
