The bark of charcoal is ground into powder, mixed with porridge, and two or three bowls are consumed. The charcoal powder wraps around the iron object, which is then excreted through the large intestine. This is the first miraculous formula.
For an iron needle stuck in the throat, see the following section. Eating boiled broad beans together with Chinese chives causes the needle to be excreted along with the vegetables (if broad beans are unavailable, salted duck eggs can be used as a substitute).
Another prescription: Swallow one pair of eyes from a live fire-bellied toad (*Bufo gargarizans*) whole with cold water. The two ends of the needle will pierce the eyeballs, causing it to be vomited out immediately or excreted through the large intestine. This is highly effective. One must strictly avoid eating toads thereafter.
Another prescription: Grind charcoal bark into powder as described previously, mix with porridge, and consume. This also facilitates expulsion.

This condition requires urgent treatment. If food and drink cannot enter, leading to the exhaustion of Stomach Qi, it is also difficult to save. The bone will dissolve; this has been tried repeatedly with miraculous results. This is because dogs are adept at consuming various bones.
Another prescription: Grind tiger bone (*Hugu*, *Ossis Tigridis*) into powder and take mixed with water; this is also good.
Another prescription: For fish bones stuck in the throat, hang a cormorant or a duck upside down to collect saliva. Have the patient lie supine and administer the saliva frequently. All bones will dissolve.
Another prescription: A person had a fish bone lodged horizontally in the chest for half a month, unable to descend, causing pain and crying. Grinding olive pits into a thick juice and taking it mixed with boiling water cured the condition. This is truly a celestial prescription.
Another prescription: Take four *liang* (approx. 120 grams) of wheat flour, mix with cold water to form a thick paste, and apply to both knees. After about an hour, one would not know where the bone dissolved. This is a truly strange prescription that treats all bird, fish, and beast bones.
Another prescription: Someone had a bone stuck in the throat, resisting all medicines. In a dream, a person advised taking true Southern Borax (*Nan Pengsha*, *Borax*). Taking it was wonderful...

Another prescription: Roast Cyathula root (*Guanzhong*, *Cyathulae Radix*) until charred, grind into powder, and take one or two *qian* per dose. This is highly effective. Alternatively, decoct a strong liquid, hold it in the mouth, and swallow slowly.
Another prescription: Dry human fingernails, roast on tiles until charred, grind into powder, and insufflate into the throat. This is extremely effective.
Another prescription: Plug the nostrils with garlic to prevent air passage; the bone will descend naturally.
Another prescription: Hold white sugar in the mouth until it melts naturally; the bone will dissolve along with it.
Another prescription: For fish bones stuck in the throat, insert the raw eyeball of that specific fish into the crease of the ear tip. If stuck on the left, insert the left eye; if on the right, insert the right eye. Alternatively, hide it in the hair. This is highly effective.
Another prescription: Mash fresh ramie root (*Zhuma Gen*, *Boehmeriae Radix*) until pulpy, form pills the size of longan fruits. Swallow fish bones with fish soup and chicken bones with chicken soup. Drinking ramie juice is also acceptable.

This dissolves any type of bone; it is highly effective. This is a very verified celestial prescription by Linwu Shanshanren.
Another prescription: Grind prepared rush pith charcoal (*Zhi Dengxin Tan*) to an ultra-fine powder and insufflate three or four times. This is highly effective. This is another very verified prescription by Linwu Shanshanren.
Another prescription: Eat [Certain] seeds (also known as [Certain] heads, also known as [Certain] whites); they pass immediately upon ingestion.
Another prescription: Fish Gallbladder Drink: Hang Siniperca chuatsi gallbladders in the shade to dry during winter. When various bones are stuck in the throat, take one (half of a large one is also acceptable)...
Not yet...
All...
Another prescription: Decoct Evodia fruit (*Wuzhuyu*, *Evodiae Fructus*) into a thick juice and drink one bowl. Bones that have reached the abdomen will soften and pass easily.
Another prescription: On the noon hour of the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, stand facing east in a leek field without speaking, and collect earthworm mud. Apply a small amount to the outside of the throat; the bone will naturally disappear.
Another prescription: Roast carp dorsal scales on tiles until charred, grind into powder, and take with cold water. The spines will jump out naturally. This is highly effective even if they do not come out after three or four days. Scales of any color of fish can be used.
